How could Su Ning agree to the request without gaining anything in return?
Li Ming fell silent for a moment and said, “I’ll leave two items from treasure chests at the original spot for you. I’m sure you’ll like them.”
Su Ning raised an eyebrow, puzzled at how Li Ming could be so certain she would like them.
Still, she did feel a bit envious of the guy. From how casually he spoke, it was clear he had encountered plenty of treasure chests and received some good stuff.
“I really want to throw Li Ming into Hua Hua’s mouth someday.”
On the other end, Li Ming suddenly felt a chill run down his spine. He shivered, assuming it was just the extreme cold of the “Absolute Zero” instance affecting him.
Su Ning thought for a moment. Items from treasure chests were always rare and valuable.
There was no reason to refuse.
“Alright, I agree. But how do we make the trade?”
Li Ming replied, “I’ll place the items on the ground. As for the instance switch, don’t worry. I have another item that can automatically choose players in different survival instances to switch worlds. As long as you accept, we’ll appear in each other’s location in the respective instance.”
Su Ning nodded. “Alright, let’s begin.”
On the other end, Li Ming took out the items to be traded and placed them on the ground. Then, he tightly gripped a card-like object in his hand.
He began to chant some words, and the card shot out a beam of light like a meteor, vanishing into the void.
At the same time, Su Ning heard a mechanical voice in her ear:
Ding! Scanning… Player Li Ming from World 123 has invited Player Su Ning from World 99 to use the Instance Swap item. Does Player Su Ning agree?
Without hesitation, Su Ning nodded.
“Agree!”
Ding! Player agreed. Instance swap initiated between Player Li Ming from the ‘Absolute Zero’ instance and Player Su Ning from the ‘Witch Hunt’ instance!
In an instant, Su Ning felt a powerful force descend from the sky.
Her body felt weightless, like a bolt of lightning, and in the blink of an eye, she transformed into a stream of light and vanished into the void.
As the swap occurred, Su Ning saw flickering lights around her, as if she had entered a fantastical realm.
A dreamlike world of shimmering bubbles stretched out before her. Inside each bubble, she could clearly see different scenes.
In one bubble, the world was scorched and barren, players desperately trying to escape the chaos of natural disasters.
In another, terrifying viruses rampaged, and players had to dodge infection in a constant battle for survival.
Su Ning realized these colorful bubbles were all separate instance worlds, with countless players struggling to survive within each.
“Unbelievable… There are so many instance worlds.”
She watched as the bubbles floated past her.
But just as she reached out to touch one, a deafening roar echoed through the realm, sending waves of pain crashing through her head.
Covering her ears, Su Ning turned toward the source—and saw a gigantic dragon emerge from one of the bubbles.
The bubble shattered instantly, and the instance world it represented collapsed and was destroyed.
“It’s that thing!”
The Rule-Destroying Dragon!
After annihilating one instance world, the terrifying creature slithered into another bubble.
Its fate was self-explanatory.
As Su Ning watched in shock, wondering whether more instance worlds would be destroyed by the dragon, she saw beams of light darting toward the bubble the dragon had entered.
Each of these beams of light was a powerful being.
Su Ning was stunned. There were others who could move freely in this realm? Her presence here was only due to the instance switch—it was a rare accident.
And she couldn’t even move of her own will.
“Who are these people?”
She activated the Scavenger’s Eye, but every figure showed only:

“Question marks again!”
Su Ning thought of the terrifying enemies she had encountered before.
“Could they be from the same organization?”
But before she could dwell on it, she was sucked into one of the bubbles.
Instance switch complete.
Just as Su Ning entered the instance, one of the glowing figures paused and glanced around.
His companion asked, “What are you looking at?”
The man replied, “I felt like someone was watching me just now.”
His companion scoffed, “You must be imagining things. No one can enter this place except us—unless someone had one of those once-in-a-century Instance Swap items. But no one’s gotten one in years. You’re probably just sensing wrong.”
The man frowned. “Was I mistaken?”
Before he could think more, his companion urged him on.
“Hurry! We need to take down the Rule-Destroying Dragon. If we don’t, the Admin will punish us. That beast has already destroyed so many instances—if we don’t stop it soon, our own lives may go down with them.”
The man snapped out of it and stopped thinking about his strange feeling.
Meanwhile, Su Ning landed in the Absolute Zero instance where Li Ming had previously been.
The moment she touched the ground, a bone-chilling cold surged through her.
Her body began to freeze over instantly, causing her to frown.
Without even glancing at the two items Li Ming had left for her, she immediately stored them into her inventory and teleported into her personal space.
Now that she was in the “Absolute Zero” instance, she needed to completely reprepare her gear.
And since the instance had been swapped, so were the missions.
Just after arriving, Su Ning heard the system notification in her ear:
Ding! You are now in the ‘Absolute Zero’ instance. Survive for seven days. Current progress: Day 3.
Ding! Kill 100 Frost Giants. Progress: 1/100.
Ding! Kill 100 Frosty Snowball Men. Progress: 2/100.
Ding! Kill 100 Ice Scorpions. Progress: 0/100.
Ding! Only upon completing all four objectives can you return to the real world!
Since the instances were swapped, mission progress was swapped too.
Li Ming’s incomplete tasks were now Su Ning’s.
Seeing the numbers, Su Ning nearly blacked out.
“Seriously? Even if you’re weak in battle, how did you only kill two monsters in three whole days?”
Su Ning grumbled. If the items he gave her weren’t satisfying, she would definitely curse Li Ming using her Misfortune trait combined with her Cursed Words skill.
Even with his super-luck, he’d still suffer.
After all, her Witch Hunt mission only required her to survive for seven days.
Even though she faced terrifying threats daily, someone like Li Ming—with his insane luck—should have been able to dodge all dangers and survive easily.
On the other side, Li Ming, now in Su Ning’s former instance, was overjoyed.
