Shocked, I’m the Favorites in the Survival Game – CH152

Wutong High School 11

Chapter 152: Wutong High School 11

Faster, even faster!

Chu Yian’s legs moved mechanically, her heart pounding in her throat. The moment she ran out of the dorm and stepped into the dorm management center, her clothes were soaked with sweat.

Inside the dorm management center, there were even more people than when she had left.

Among them were people she knew: Gao Peng, Zhang Guodong, and the very annoying Bai Sinian.

Bai Sinian hadn’t gotten his key yet. When he saw Chu Yian running out in such a disheveled state, his eyebrows twitched slightly, then he spread his arms. “What’s wrong, Little Chu Chu? Come into your Brother Bai’s arms.”

Chu Yian ignored him and instead scanned the volunteers in the dorm management center.

Rule 12: When the situation in Rule 11 occurs, all previous rules are void. If you safely arrive at the dorm management center, please find a black-clad volunteer within 3 minutes of entering the dorm management center, tear off the second page of your student handbook and hold it in your palm, then hand the rest of the handbook to the black-clad volunteer.

Rule 13: There is a Psychological Diagnosis Room on campus. The Psychological Diagnosis Room is located on the road between the dorm building and the information hall. Do not lose the second page of your student handbook held in your palm before entering the Psychological Diagnosis Room.

Black-clad volunteer, black-clad volunteer!

As much as Chu Yian had feared seeing a black-clad volunteer just now, she was now just as eager to find him.

Fortunately, he was there!

At the check-in counter, the young man at the very front, just as he was about to get his key, saw the blue-uniformed volunteer turn black. Before the young man could react, Chu Yian rushed forward and pushed him aside. Under everyone’s bewildered gaze, she tore off the second page and shoved the rest of the handbook into the black-clad volunteer’s hand.

Once it was in his hand, Chu Yian didn’t bother with it anymore.

The moment she walked away, the young man who hadn’t received his key changed his expression drastically and quickly rolled up his student handbook, attacking the volunteer with it.

The first to react was Bai Sinian.

“Little Chu Chu, have you already been to the dorm? I told you to wait for your Brother Bai, but you didn’t. You must have encountered the black-clad volunteer + monkey combination. Look how pale her little face is, it breaks this brother’s heart.”

While Bai Sinian said his heart was broken, there wasn’t a trace of worry in his eyes.

His clumsy acting couldn’t even fool Gao Peng and the others. Recalling their previous behavior, it was reasonable to suspect they were a fake couple.

“Then hurry up and die.”

Chu Yian left him with that remark and quickly rushed out of the dorm management center.

With all the delays, it was already late at night.

The streetlights were dim and yellow.

There was no one around, only an occasional cool breeze carrying a musty, damp smell and the scent of earth. Chu Yian walked very quickly, her nerves stretched to their limit. She no longer had her student handbook, and the previous rules were no longer valid, putting her in a precarious situation.

She could only pray that she would successfully find the Psychological Diagnosis Room.

But things are never that simple.

A thick fog rolled in.

Chu Yian’s steps slowed as she looked at the two diverging paths ahead. Without the guidance of the student handbook, no one knew what lay beyond these two roads.

She felt as if she had arrived at a crossroads in life: left? Or right?

After some struggle, she finally decided to toss a stone.

Right.

Chu Yian looked at fate’s choice and resolutely stepped onto the path to the right.

However, she seemed to have overlooked an important issue: her luck in this game didn’t seem particularly good. A path chosen by luck… The surrounding fog was getting thicker and thicker.

Chu Yian almost wanted to turn back and choose again, but the path behind her had already disappeared. Every step she took forward, a bit of the path behind her vanished, clearly leaving her no retreat. And ahead, in the dim light and the fog, black figures appeared.

Dim yellow streetlights, grayish-white fog, and several motionless figures standing ahead.

The figures didn’t move, but their numbers increased.

The fog surged towards Chu Yian, and the figures, accompanied by the fog, continuously drew closer.

It was utterly silent, yet hair-raising.

Chu Yian’s body grew cold as the fog approached, but there was no way to retreat.

It was simply, deadly!

Just as the figures were only a meter away from her, she finally couldn’t take it anymore. Chu Yian took out her treasure box, opened it, and climbed inside!

The cramped space offered her the only sense of security. She curled up inside the box, nervously and fearfully muttering, “Amitabha, demons and monsters, quickly leave.”

As she silently chanted, the box began to shake.

The sound of nails scratching against the box entered, sharp and piercing, sending shivers down her spine.

Whatever was in the fog had arrived.

They still wanted to get in.

Chu Yian only hoped that Grandpa Treasure Box could hold on a little longer, and her incantation changed from “Amitabha” to “Please, Grandpa Treasure Box, protect me.”

It proved that Grandpa Treasure Box was reliable.

The scratching sounds continued for five or six minutes, but whatever was outside couldn’t get in. They seemed to give up, and the surroundings became quiet again.

Chu Yian heard no movement outside, but she didn’t dare to come out immediately.

She hid in the treasure box, counting from 1 to 1200, a full 20 minutes passing before she opened a crack in the treasure box to peek outside.

No one.

The surrounding fog was still thick, but the black figures in the dense fog had completely disappeared.

Chu Yian crawled out of the treasure box. She suddenly realized that her original escape route had reappeared! She still clutched the torn page from the student handbook tightly in her hand. After a moment of thought, she decided to follow this path to the end.

If the other path was the main road, it would be the one she took from the information hall to the dorms, and there was no Psychological Diagnosis Room on that road.

Although this path was dangerous, the possibility of a Psychological Diagnosis Room being present was greater, making it more worth the risk.

Although Chu Yian had bad luck, her mind was still sharp.

She didn’t return the way she came. Sure enough, after walking for not long, she saw a detached house with five large characters clearly written on it—Psychological Diagnosis Room.

There were also two people standing outside the Diagnosis Room.

They were clearly very nervous and scared. When they saw the figures in the fog, they screamed in panic, “Who?”

“Players?”

Chu Yian revealed herself from the fog. She realized that although she didn’t know the names of these two, they were familiar faces—two unlucky individuals who had no student handbook guidance and stumbled upon this place by mistake.

“Finally, someone’s here.”

The two saw Chu Yian and hurriedly ran towards her. “We’ve been trapped here for almost two hours. Our teammate went in and never came out. This damn game is too hard.”

The reason they might not have come out is that they might never be able to come out again.

Chu Yian took a step back, putting some distance between herself and them, and also estimated their physiques.

One man, one woman.

Both looked to be in their early twenties.

The girl had a very ordinary, delicate appearance. The man was about 1.78 meters tall, but as thin as a bamboo pole, appearing to have no combat strength.
