Doomsday: Scavenging in a Survival Game – CH196

Li Ming’s Call – Swap Dungeons?

Chapter 196: Li Ming’s Call – Swap Dungeons?

Hearing the shouts outside, Zheng Yaxian was like a startled bird, quickly sitting back down in her assigned place far from the throne.

This emperor was nothing short of a perverted maniac—he enjoyed treating beautiful women like dolls, arranging them like art pieces to admire.

With her [Allure of the Nation] talent and the assistance of charm-based skills, Zheng Yaxian had narrowly escaped death.

Even so, she dared not make the slightest move. A single misstep would land her the same fate as the other girls around her—turned into literal dolls by the emperor.

All around her were the emperor’s “masterpieces”—women who had been turned into lifeless toys.

The emperor was already irritated from being woken from his pleasant dreams, but when he heard that Lord Oleni and the Venom Witch had perished together, he was shocked.

“What is going on here? Explain it to me clearly!”

Zheng Yaxian perked up her ears to listen in.

The emperor, who had been preparing to rest, was now completely alert upon hearing such critical news. He stormed out of his chambers.

This was Zheng Yaxian’s golden opportunity to act.

Meanwhile, Su Ning had discovered the secret behind Little Oleni’s growth—feeding him anything with powerful energy caused him to grow rapidly.

Just one meal had made the boy grow from the size of a one-year-old to that of a two-year-old. Now he could talk and walk.

This development was giving Su Ning a headache.

So, she tossed Little Oleni over to Youyou to take care of.

The once unruly Youyou, who had no fear in the planting space, was now reduced to the role of a nanny watching over a tiny demon king.

Yes, to Youyou, Little Oleni wasn’t some divine child—he was a menace.

His wailing was ear-shattering, echoing through the space like a banshee’s scream.

Youyou: Master, I’m still a child myself! Why am I the one taking care of a child?

Su Ning ignored Youyou’s protests.

She had more important things to worry about—like surviving the next few days.

“After just two days in the ‘Witch Hunt’ dungeon, I’ve already run into multiple terrifying beings. This difficulty is seriously high. It’s making me miss the real-world disasters—at least there, with enough space, you could avoid most threats.”

Su Ning sighed softly. In this dungeon, even her appearance was dangerous.

“Looks like being a witch in this dungeon isn’t easy either.”

Just then, an item that had been sitting silently in her inventory began to emit sound.

Ding-a-ling!
The sound was like a phone ringing—someone trying to call her.

Su Ning opened her scavenger bag to see what was going on.

It turned out to be the [Penguin Communicator], an item she had acquired previously with Li Ming, the ultra-lucky player from World 123.

There were only two communicators—one in her possession, one in his.

Now it was ringing—Li Ming was contacting her.

Su Ning raised an eyebrow, unsure of his intentions.

Thinking about his ridiculous luck, Su Ning felt a bit envious. Ever since she got her [Super Bad Luck] trait, she hadn’t encountered a single treasure chest—something that still confused her.

“What does this guy want with me?”

The communicator kept ringing. After a moment of thought, Su Ning picked up the call.

“Hello? What is it?”

In another S-level dungeon, Li Ming’s eyes lit up the moment the call connected.

“Yes! Su Ning-jie? It’s me, Li Ming! Do you remember me?”

Su Ning: How could I forget? With your absurdly enviable luck, who wouldn’t want to kidnap you?

Su Ning responded, “Oh, Li Ming. What are you contacting me for?”

She had a gut feeling this wasn’t going to be good. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have reached out.

On the other side, Li Ming hesitated awkwardly.

Could he really say that his first S-level dungeon had landed him in a situation he couldn’t handle—and now he was begging for help?

Li Ming was trembling as he spoke. Compared to disaster-type dungeons, he actually preferred enemy-based ones, since his innate luck often bailed him out during confrontations.

But this time, it was a disaster-based dungeon—and he was in way over his head. Even with all the items he’d drawn from treasure chests, he was struggling against the dungeon’s natural hazards.

With no other choice, he turned to Su Ning for help—the only powerful player he knew.

But how to ask?

Li Ming finally said, “Actually, I have a rather shameless request…”

Su Ning listened to his embarrassed tone.

“Speak.”

“Would it be possible for me to… swap dungeon worlds with you?”

Hearing that, Su Ning was confused.

“You can swap dungeons?”

Li Ming quickly explained, “Normally you can’t, but I have an item that allows two players in different survival dungeons to switch worlds.”

Su Ning was surprised. So that’s a thing?

Still, she didn’t immediately agree. She paused to think.

“Tell me why you want to switch.”

Su Ning wasn’t one to blindly play the hero. Yes, the dungeon she was in now was very dangerous—and after three days, she’d gained almost nothing. Well, not nothing—she did end up with a “lovely son.”

But that didn’t mean she’d agree to enter another potentially even more dangerous dungeon just like that.

Su Ning could imagine—if even someone with ultra-luck couldn’t survive the dungeon, would she really be able to?

Li Ming replied shyly, “This dungeon has a mission I simply can’t complete… You know my combat ability is trash. I rely entirely on heaven’s mercy when fighting enemies.”

That’s when Su Ning understood the situation.

Li Ming had entered an S-rank dungeon called Absolute Zero.

This dungeon was filled with extreme sub-zero environments—far worse than the natural disasters Su Ning had faced in the real world. On top of that, there were terrifying frost monsters inside.

Li Ming’s mission was to kill these monsters.

But he couldn’t deal enough damage to even one of them. In desperation, he turned to Su Ning—the only strong person he knew.

After hearing his explanation, Su Ning was a little tempted.

Compared to this current “Witch Hunt” dungeon filled with cunning human NPCs, a disaster-type dungeon filled with monsters sounded more suited to her.

“Of course… The system assigns players to the types of dungeons they’re least suited for.”

Li Ming was bad at surviving natural disasters.

And she—she was bad at dealing with people and politics.

Though she did have methods: eliminating everyone. Like in that village, or Hurricane City. While she hadn’t killed them personally, everywhere she went… people ended up having a rough time.

Su Ning seriously considered the swap. It would be a good way to escape this extremely unfriendly environment for women.

But she didn’t say yes immediately.

Instead, she asked, “If you want me to switch dungeons with you—what are you offering in return?”

She wasn’t about to do this for free.
