Forget it, what if it’s a zombie?
My own life isn’t guaranteed, so I shouldn’t worry about others.
She comforted herself, preparing to drive straight.
Who knew the person inside the car moved, drawing an “SOS” sign with blood on the transparent glass.
His face was pale.
Their eyes met… how did they even meet!
Chu Yian was annoyed, yet she pulled the handbrake.

Chu Yian looked at the wrench in her hand, then slammed it hard against the car window.

“This car has been specially modified; external force cannot break it.”
The man reached out and pressed something, and the car’s front windshield slowly lowered, “Now press that red button on the driver’s seat.”
Chu Yian did as he said.
The next second, the man’s seatbelt was unfastened, and a hidden compartment popped out from the car’s roof, containing a handgun.
What kind of car is this, so high-tech?
As an ordinary citizen, Chu Yian, completely unexposed to such things, peered inside.
“Help me up.”
The man extended his hand.
Chu Yian grabbed him and pulled him out with force.
The man frowned slightly, then was pulled out of the car.
This person was very tall.

Chu Yian put away her curiosity, supporting his body and quickening her pace, running rapidly towards the tricycle.
The man continued to clear the zombies in front with his handgun until Chu Yian managed to push him into the tricycle.
The zombies from behind also caught up.
The foremost one grabbed the back of the car, roaring and howling, trying to tear open the thin metal of the car compartment and climb in.
Chu Yian heard the sounds from behind and drove the electric tricycle at its fastest.
The zombies’ legs scraped against the ground, leaving scattered bone and flesh fragments on the road.
She made two consecutive turns before finally shaking off the zombies behind the car.
Oh my god, that was terrifying!
Chu Yian’s lips trembled from the tension of the journey.
“Go straight along this road, then turn after crossing Pingyu Bridge.”
Compared to Chu Yian’s nervousness, the man beside her maintained a single tone throughout.
His calm and steady voice inexplicably made her feel much more at ease.
“Big brother, where are we going in this direction?”
“The suburbs.”
The big brother was a man of few words.

As the surrounding vehicles became fewer and fewer, finally no more zombies appeared.
Chu Yian stopped her electric tricycle by the roadside, then pulled out two bottles of water, giving one to the big brother beside her.
“Big brother, my name is Chu Yian, a student.
What is your esteemed surname, and are you a teacher at our school?”
“Lu Qingyuan, a researcher, here to give a lecture at your school.”
A researcher?

Chu Yian looked down at her small electric tricycle, shaking the word ‘low’ from her mind, “Teacher Lu, I heard on the radio that there’s a rescue point in Fulen County, X City.
Would you like to come with me?”
“Hmm, alright.”
Chu Yian had expected him to refuse after she spoke, but she didn’t expect him to agree so quickly, “Teacher, don’t you have any questions?”
“No.”
Teacher Lu was concise.
Chu Yian couldn’t help but look at him twice upon hearing this.
They were strangers, and his trust in her was quite touching.
“Then let’s go to that place to treat your wound, and then find a map to X City and a drivable car.”
Chu Yian spoke of her plan, and then casually asked, “Can you drive?
