Chapter 33: Tearing Off the Mask
“What are you afraid of? These four girls are all college students with bright futures. If this gets out, their lives will be ruined. They wouldn’t dare call the police.”
The security captain sneered.
He had seen this kind of situation countless times while working at the KTV.
Most of the time, after some resistance, things happened. Once it was over, everyone just acted like nothing had happened—put their clothes back on, took some money, and walked away.
So, he wasn’t worried.
Of course, there were exceptions.
But those were rare. He didn’t even consider it. After all, how many virtuous women would come to a KTV to get drunk?
“Stop overthinking. Let’s enjoy ourselves first.”
“If you’re scared, then get lost.”
The security captain spat.
The other guards exchanged looks, hesitating.
“As for Han Xue, I recorded everything she said. If something happens, she won’t escape either.”
The security captain smirked.
“You bunch of cowards, if you’re too scared, then leave.”
“I can handle all four myself—it’ll be even better!”
He laughed and strode toward Room 402.
The hesitant guards finally followed.
Fang Xiaocao entered the private room and quickly glanced at Su Wanqing and Yun Luoshu.
Yun Luoshu had footprints on her clothes and blood on the corner of her mouth—she had clearly been beaten.
Su Wanqing, however, was unharmed. She even winked at Fang Xiaocao.
Fang Xiaocao subtly nodded and strode over to Wen Shi.
Seeing this, Su Wanqing let out a breath of relief.
“I knew it. Xiaocao has been smart since she was a kid,” she murmured under her breath.
As soon as Han Xue entered, Su Wanqing immediately shut her mouth, afraid of being overheard.
Han Xue glared at her, silently asking if she had said anything.
Su Wanqing quickly shook her head.
Satisfied, Han Xue turned to Fang Xiaocao.
“Xiaocao, Wen Shi just drank too much.”
“Forget about her. Come drink with us.”
She leaned lazily against the couch, smiling.
Fang Xiaocao made sure Wen Shi’s clothes were intact before sighing in relief.
“Good. Nothing irreversible has happened yet,” she thought.
Then, she looked at Han Xue and smiled.
“I can’t drink. I drove here.”
Her tone was calm.
Han Xue’s expression darkened.
“You came to a KTV. How can you not drink?”
“Right, Wanqing?” Han Xue looked at Su Wanqing.
Her cold gaze made Su Wanqing shudder.
“Ah, yes, yes! Han Xue is right.”
“Xiaocao, just drink a little.”
“If you can’t drive after, get a ride home.”
Su Wanqing said nervously, blinking at Fang Xiaocao as if signaling something.
“I really can’t,” Fang Xiaocao replied with a smile.
Her hand slowly reached into her pocket for her pepper spray.
She wasn’t about to drink anything. Hot Noodles’s warning had been clear: avoid any physical contact with Han Xue.
Fang Xiaocao had a theory now—what if Han Xue had some kind of contagious disease?
Given how reckless Han Xue was, it wasn’t impossible.
Besides, the drinks were likely spiked.
Wen Shi was already down, and Fang Xiaocao wasn’t blind.
“Just drink a little!”
Su Wanqing kept blinking at her.
“Please, just drink. If you make her mad, the security guards outside will come in.”
“If that happens, you’ll drink whether you want to or not!”
She prayed that Fang Xiaocao would understand her signals.
She was thinking simply—Fang Xiaocao had already called the police, so all they needed to do was stall until the officers arrived.
Fang Xiaocao sat beside Wen Shi, looking at Han Xue.
“Do we really have to drink?” she asked lightly.
“If you don’t drink, you’re disrespecting me.”
Han Xue took a sip from her glass and smiled.
Then, she grabbed a bottle and filled a glass to the brim before handing it to Fang Xiaocao.
Seeing this, Fang Xiaocao’s pupils contracted.
“She’s definitely up to something,” she thought.
“Xiaocao, drink it.”
“Drink it, and we’ll still be friends.”
Han Xue smiled, holding the glass out.
Su Wanqing grew more anxious as Fang Xiaocao hesitated.
Gritting her teeth, she spoke up, “Han Xue, how about I drink for her?”
Both Han Xue and Fang Xiaocao turned to look at her.
Han Xue chuckled.
“Sure. You’ll all have to drink eventually.”
She handed the glass to Su Wanqing.
Su Wanqing blinked and reached for it.
Just as her fingers were about to touch the glass, Fang Xiaocao suddenly stood up and smacked her hand away.
“Han Xue, what exactly do you want?”
She glared at Han Xue.
She had no intention of letting Su Wanqing drink from that glass.
She knew Han Xue was dangerous, possibly carrying something infectious. She wouldn’t let her friends take that risk.
So, she decided to tear off the mask and confront her directly.
After all, Hot Noodles had been able to warn her in advance, which meant she wasn’t in immediate danger.
And Song Lin, Wang Qiang, and Zhi Qi were all on their way. At least one of them would arrive soon.
That was her trump card.
She had nothing to fear.
“Heh…”
“So, you’ve figured it out.”
Han Xue grinned.
“I’m not blind. How could I not?”
“Wen Shi’s flushed face—it’s not just from alcohol.”
“The footprints on Luoshu, the blood on her lips—she didn’t just trip and fall.”
Fang Xiaocao gripped her pepper spray tightly and shielded Su Wanqing and Yun Luoshu behind her.
“Heh…”
“You really are smart, Xiaocao.”
Han Xue laughed.
Clap! Clap! Clap!
She clapped her hands.
The crisp sound echoed in the room.
Click!
The door to Room 403 swung open.
The security captain and his men walked in.
“Ms Han,” the captain greeted with a smirk.
Seeing the group of guards, Fang Xiaocao clenched her pepper spray.
“Tie them up and force them to drink this.”
“Make sure not a single drop is wasted.”
Han Xue grabbed a bottle, spat into it, and sneered at Fang Xiaocao.
The security captain froze.
“…What kind of twisted fetish is this?”
He frowned.
“Heh…”
“Once they drink this, my revenge will be complete.”
Han Xue glanced meaningfully at the security captain.
