Doomsday: Scavenging in a Survival Game – CH180

Creating an Alien—System Notification

Chapter 180: Creating an Alien—System Notification

Su Ning and the others didn’t linger long at the icehouse. With a wave of his hand, Gu Cheng’an had them quickly ushered into the Fifth Shelter.

At this point, no one could refuse the shelter director’s words.

Su Ning’s group arrived at the residence mentioned by Jiang Nana’s father.

Obviously, Su Ning wasn’t going to stay there. She didn’t want to squeeze in with others, and she didn’t like being constrained. The others wouldn’t be comfortable either.

Some distance between people is what creates beauty.

Before entering the shelter, Gu Cheng’an—director of the Fifth Shelter—had invited Su Ning to join his team.

But due to the previous incident with Yang Wei, Su Ning didn’t have a favorable opinion of him. Without even thinking, she rejected him outright.

Now, Su Ning needed to find a place to stay inside the Fifth Shelter.

Nothing big—just a room would do. She had a planting space, and could go inside it to rest anyway.

Sure enough, the Fifth Shelter had decent security. Su Ning quickly found a place to stay, but she did run into a minor issue.

“I need contribution points to make a trade?” she asked.

“That’s right. If you don’t have contribution points, you can trade food resources instead. System gold coins also work.”

Su Ning hadn’t expected that the shelter’s trading system had been restored.

She had just arrived and had no contribution points. While she had plenty of food, she didn’t want to draw attention by pulling it all out. So instead, she chose to use the gold coins she’d obtained from survival dungeons.

Since she had her own shop, Su Ning had just as many gold coins as she had resources, so she wasn’t worried at all.

She took out 10 gold coins and quickly rented a 10-square-meter room.

There were many rooms like this in the shelter, so Su Ning settled in right away.

The place was small. After closing the door and tidying up a bit, Su Ning entered her planting space.

“Finally, I can breathe again!”
Life alone was so much easier. This journey had truly worn her out.

Soon, her attention turned to Yang Wei’s corpse. Her Gene Extraction talent was extremely powerful.

If Yang Wei hadn’t underestimated her, Su Ning wouldn’t have been able to kill him so easily.

“But the outcome is what matters.”

She ordered Huahua to devour Yang Wei’s body—she was determined to acquire the Gene Extraction skill.

Not long after, a blood-red glowing fruit appeared in her hand.

[Gene Extraction Skill Fruit]
After use, allows the player to perceive the target’s skills and talents through their blood. Not only can the user temporarily borrow all the target’s abilities, but upon fully extracting the target’s blood and killing them, they can permanently claim the target’s talents and skills.

Su Ning didn’t hesitate—she swallowed the skill fruit immediately.

She had already realized the huge potential of this skill.

“This Gene Extraction skill combined with the [Parasitic Transformation] skill I got from Yan Liuxing is a match made in heaven. The two complement each other perfectly—enough to create a truly powerful lifeform.”

“Come to think of it, I haven’t tried out the power of [Parasitic Transformation] yet. Should I test it first?”

With that thought, Su Ning decisively used her dungeon key and entered the Corpse Hell dungeon.

Arriving at the base she had painstakingly built, Su Ning released Number One and the others, ordering Number One to capture a zombie for her.

Su Ning decided to test her [Parasitic Transformation] and [Gene Extraction] skills on this zombie.

The zombie brought in by Number One was a basic zombie, with the only ability of spreading the zombie virus.

Su Ning first cast Parasitic Transformation.

Suddenly, a pure-white energy seed formed in her palm—this mysterious seed had been conjured via the skill.

Su Ning held the floating seed in her palm and directed it into the blank-faced zombie’s mouth.

The energy seed quickly took root and began to grow in the zombie’s stomach.

Then, Su Ning cast [Gene Extraction] again—not on herself, but on the energy seed created by [Parasitic Transformation].

The seed, like a greedy demon, began frantically devouring the zombie’s genetic power, absorbing it hungrily to grow.

However, transformation required a continuous energy supply. If the host body didn’t have enough energy, the parasitic creature couldn’t fully mature or break out.

Su Ning had already anticipated this.

Without hesitation, she pulled out a Zombie Fruit and fed it to the zombie.

Soon, the zombie’s belly began to swell like a balloon.

This particular zombie was male, but at that moment, he looked like a pregnant woman in her ninth month, about to give birth.

Su Ning watched in awe. She hadn’t expected the [Parasitic Transformation] skill to be so terrifying!

But what happened next shocked her even more.

Thanks to the energy provided by the Zombie Fruit, the creature created via [Parasitic Transformation] was now ready to be born.

It twitched beneath the zombie’s stomach, as if trying to break free of its prison.

Su Ning instinctively took a few steps back. The zombie’s face, previously emotionless, now showed a strange expression—a mixture of pain and something else.

The next second—

The creature inside ripped through the zombie’s stomach without mercy.

A grotesque, monstrous infant appeared before Su Ning’s eyes.

[Creature: Virus Alien]
Talents:
Zombie Virus: Possesses the horrifying ability to spread the zombie virus!
Corpse Eater: Can heal its wounds rapidly by consuming corpses, like a phoenix reborn in fire.
Pain Immunity: Feels no pain from injuries.
Skills:
  Sharp Claws
  Bite
Master: Su Ning

A half-human, half-monster lifeform burst forth, covered in blood. Its piercing roar sliced through the silent open ground like a sword.

“An alien…?”

With [Parasitic Transformation] and [Gene Extraction] used together, Su Ning had successfully created a new, powerful species.

“This… this…”
For a moment, Su Ning didn’t even know what to say.

Staring at the creature before her, she realized it had perfectly inherited the zombie’s talents and virus abilities, along with pain immunity.

It was a perfect killing machine.

“My god… did I just create an entirely new species?”

As the Virus Alien emerged, Su Ning’s other pets began growling at it, sensing the threat it posed.

“If I can create such a terrifying monster using a basic zombie, then what kind of creature could I create from other, stronger lifeforms?”

But before Su Ning could take further action, a sudden sound interrupted her thoughts—

The unexpected system announcement stopped Su Ning from continuing her experiments.
