Chapter 150: Gravity Control, Monster Kill Quest
Everyone arrived at the beach and finally saw the source of the explosions.
Lin Lele looked at the scene before her in utter disbelief.
Her eyes were wide, her mouth slightly open — she couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
“My god, is Ji Fengyan really this strong?” she gasped.
At that moment, Ji Fengyan and Mu Yunfei were locked in a fierce battle with several terrifying sea monsters!
Their figures darted through the crashing waves, and every move they made carried tremendous power.
Ji Fengyan hovered in the air, surrounded by massive rocks controlled via gravity manipulation.
Under his control, the rocks shot down like meteors, smashing into the sea monsters below.
After being modified by Mu Yunfei’s explosive-element talent, the rocks had essentially turned into rock bombs, dramatically boosting their power.
Each explosion stirred up massive waves, causing the sea monsters to feel genuine fear.
Even Huang Zhengang was confused, “Why are there so many sea monsters gathered at the shore?” He frowned and scanned the surroundings.
Su Ning, meanwhile, was focused entirely on the battle.
At some point, this stretch of sea had become infested with powerful monsters of all shapes and sizes — and all of them radiated intense, dangerous auras.
Suddenly, Su Ning’s eyes fell on Zhongsun Junzhang.
She noticed he was holding a gem that glowed with a faint blue light.
That gem emitted a mysterious energy fluctuation — and it seemed to be linked to the sea monsters somehow.
Su Ning couldn’t help but guess: Could this gem be what’s drawing the sea monsters here?
Then a system prompt appeared:
Item: Lure Gem
Effect: Attracts the attention of nearby monsters!
So Su Ning’s guess had been spot on.
Right then, Zhongsun Junzhang showcased his incredible teleportation ability.
His figure flickered like a ghost across the ocean’s surface.
Each time he reappeared, it drew a wave of monsters from the sea.
Some monsters were mountain-sized, while others were agile and slippery like fish, but all of them had one thing in common — immense power.
Su Ning checked her system data and confirmed that all these monsters were labeled as sea monsters.
“Looks like they’re trying to complete the kill quest from the dungeon,” she muttered to herself.
Nan Sheng’s eyes shimmered with envy as she watched.
At the same time, Lin Lele sighed dramatically, “Not only are they good-looking, but they’re insanely powerful too. These people must have some serious background.”
The sounds of Ji Fengyan and Mu Yunfei’s intense battle had attracted other players from across the island.
Crowds began forming along the shore, curious to see what was going on.
Ji Fengyan didn’t bother hiding his power.
He gave the fight everything he had.
Although Pei Xuan’an didn’t have direct combat ability, he was doing his best to support the team with his unique skills.
Suddenly, Ji Fengyan swept his arm across the water. A gentle breeze rippled over the ocean.
Then, he activated his innate talent: Gravity Control.
In an instant, half the sea water lifted into the air under his power.
The sea monsters lured over by Zhongsun Junzhang were now all suspended and trapped — their natural environment had turned into a gigantic floating water prison, sealing them inside.
Then Mu Yunfei pulled out a device from her planting space — it looked like a bubble machine.
She gently pressed the switch, and countless vibrant bubbles began to pour out.
Most people watching were confused, “What’s that supposed to do? Celebrating early?”
Only Su Ning guessed what Mu Yunfei was planning.
Sure enough — just a second later — the countless tiny bubbles touched the floating water prison and instantly caused violent explosions!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
A series of thunderous blasts echoed through the sky, shaking the earth.
A downpour of blood rained from above, and Su Ning quickly dodged out of the way.
Soon, the intense battle drew to a close.
Ji Fengyan gently descended from the sky.
His eyes were cold and sharp, inspiring awe and intimidation.
Everyone around him looked on with fear and unease — even players from other nations didn’t dare provoke him.
“Seven more to go, and we’ll complete the sea monster kill quest,”
Mu Yunfei said as she checked the mission progress.
Then she looked over at Zhongsun Junzhang.
“How much longer can you hold out?”
Zhongsun Junzhang was using the Lure Gem to attract monsters and also relying on his Blink skill for rapid movement. But that skill couldn’t be used for extended periods.
“Need to rest,” he panted.
“If I keep going, I’ll pass out.”
His space talent was strong — but had a limit.
Mu Yunfei looked over at Ji Fengyan.
She herself had no issues continuing, but fighting in the water was totally different from fighting on land.
Without Zhongsun Junzhang luring monsters, she’d definitely be more restricted.
Ji Fengyan turned to Pei Xuan’an:
“Should we keep fighting?”
He wasn’t really asking for orders — just checking if Pei Xuan’an, with his precognition, could foresee any unexpected dangers.
But Pei Xuan’an didn’t use his ability right away. Instead, he looked around at the crowd of players that had gathered.
“We’ve drawn enough attention already. I can feel their hostility even without using my powers.”
During the fight, the group hadn’t hidden anything — even Mu Yunfei pulling out the bubble machine from her planting space was seen by all.
For most players, having a planting space was priceless. Not only could you store loot, but also grow crops inside during a dungeon run.
Naturally, many greedy eyes were now watching them.
Even though Ji Fengyan and his group were strong, they had clearly become targets.
Su Ning, however, had no interest in these conflicts. She sat casually to the side, relaxing and enjoying a fresh fruit she had just picked from the forest — clearly treating the chaos as entertainment.
Seeing how much Su Ning was enjoying the fruit, Lin Lele got curious:
“What kind of fruit is that? Looks tasty!”
Su Ning pointed to a nearby tree that was full of the same fruit.
The fruit was thumb-sized and had dark blue skin that looked strangely ominous.
Lin Lele frowned, “That color… isn’t that fruit poisonous?”
Su Ning caught the worry in her expression and grinned — she decided to tease her.
She held out the half-eaten fruit and said, “Here, try it.”
Lin Lele panicked, “You can’t just eat something that looks this suspicious! Sister Nansheng, come quick — is this thing poisonous or not?!”
Su Ning chuckled and reassured her:
[Emerald Fruit]: Crispy, sweet-and-sour, non-toxic!
