Chapter 149: Planting Space +1!
Su Ning immediately summoned Huahua, Honghong, Jiangjiang, and already had Youyou by her side.
Excluding the Noisy Sparrow that had been instantly petrified, she now had four monsters, exactly matching the number Murata Iga had summoned — forming a direct confrontation.
However, the moment Murata Iga saw Su Ning’s summoned beasts, he was so shocked he couldn’t even speak.
He couldn’t believe Su Ning actually possessed the same number of beasts as him.
Even more shocking — she also had a spatial item like him!
“How is this possible?!”
Murata Iga realized he had underestimated her.
But still, he didn’t believe her monsters could defeat his own.
The battle began.
Reality, however, quickly shattered his expectations.
Honghong mercilessly fired a powerful electric current, instantly striking the Scythe Mantis.
The terrifying lightning turned the insect into a roasted mantis before it could even attack.
At the same time, the other three beasts entered a fierce battle.
The Earth-Digging Bear let out a deafening roar, slamming its massive paws onto the ground. Countless sharp earth spikes burst out of the ground toward Su Ning’s group.
But Youyou easily melted into the shadows, transforming into a black blur that ignored the spikes entirely.
In the blink of an eye, she reached the bear’s side and used the “Shadow Stomp” skill — successfully immobilizing the beast.
Then she opened her huge, gaping jaws and bit down on its neck, ripping and tearing furiously.
Huahua and Jiangjiang were even more unstoppable.
Jiangjiang charged straight at the Minotaur, her razor-sharp claws piercing directly into its heart.
The Ink-Squirting Octopus tried to wrap Huahua with its tentacles, hoping to crush the flower monster entirely.
But it never expected Huahua’s giant mouth to open wide and swallow it whole in one bite.
All of this happened in just a few seconds.
Murata Iga’s monsters were completely wiped out.
He stood there, dumbfounded.
“No way… this has to be a joke…”
Su Ning glanced at the stunned Murata Iga, knowing she couldn’t waste time. If this guy snapped out of it and escaped into his planting space, it would be trouble.
Without hesitation, Su Ning used her petrification ability, turning Murata Iga into a stone statue.
Just like that, Su Ning eliminated all four enemies — and also obtained Murata Iga’s planting space.
Before she could inspect it, she heard someone yelling in the distance:
“Kexin! Are you okay?!”
It was Lin Lele’s voice.
Su Ning quickly dismissed all her summons except Youyou.
Soon, Lin Lele and Nan Sheng arrived at her side.
They had rushed over after hearing the Noisy Sparrow’s ear-piercing cry, fearing that Su Ning might be in danger.
But once they saw the corpses of Murata Iga and his men, they realized their worry had been unnecessary.
As for the three henchmen — Su Ning had easily taken care of them earlier with a Scavenger Poison Dart, but their deaths were gruesome, with blood streaming from all seven orifices.
The scene was horrifying.
Nan Sheng remained relatively calm — in a post-apocalyptic hellscape, she’d seen too much.
Especially for women, brutality was the norm. Only by being strong could they protect themselves.
“These men attacked you?” Nan Sheng glanced at the corpses, her face filled with disgust.
She immediately understood what had happened.
Lin Lele quickly asked questions too, both of them clearly worried.
Su Ning felt a bit warmed by their concern.
“Yeah, they did. But don’t worry — they’ve all been taken care of.”
Lin Lele: “Wow, Kexin — you’re incredible!”
Even though they hadn’t seen Su Ning fight, the miserable condition of the corpses said it all.
Nan Sheng still looked worried, “Are you injured? Let me check.”
Nan Sheng had always been the big sister of the group — though she looked cold on the outside, she was warm-hearted.
And as the team’s doctor, her first instinct was always to ensure her teammates were safe.
Even though they’d only been together for a day, Nan Sheng already saw Su Ning as part of the group.
Not just because Su Ning had saved Gao Peng and the others — but also because being around her felt trustworthy and comfortable.
As for Lin Lele, she didn’t even need a reason.
She might be a little scatterbrained, but she had sharp instincts when it came to people. She could tell instantly if she liked someone.
Su Ning shook her head, spun in place, and said, “Do I look injured to you?”
Then she grinned, “Enough of that — I found something really good!”
Su Ning hadn’t ignored their concern. In fact, she’d just discovered another side of her “Super Misfortune” ability — it could detect the intentions of those around her.
As long as someone treated her genuinely, the misfortune wouldn’t affect them.
Previously, she had worried that this ability would turn her into a walking disaster, bringing misfortune wherever she went.
Thankfully, so far, that hadn’t happened — but who knows what the future holds?
Since she couldn’t take all the coconut tree cores with her, she decided to share the discovery with Lin Lele and Nan Sheng.
“Is it really edible? I’ve never eaten coconut tree cores before!”
Excited, both of them joined in to help peel the tree cores.
Meanwhile, Gao Peng had just recovered full movement in his previously broken arm thanks to Nan Sheng’s treatment — meaning he could fight again.
He arrived at Su Ning’s location with Huang Zhengang and Bao Song.
The moment they saw the corpses on the ground, they gasped:
Gao Peng: “Whoa… this is brutal.”
Huang Zhengang: “Looks like we underestimated Su Kexin. But being friends with someone this strong isn’t a bad thing.”
Bao Song: “At least in this dungeon, our survival chances just went way up.”
Huang Zhengang nodded in agreement:
“Still, we can’t rely on just one girl. As men, we need to show some strength too!”
Gao Peng rolled his arm: “Now that my arm’s healed, our Trio Formation Tactic is back in business!”
Their team wasn’t weak — they just lost all tactical capability when Gao Peng got injured.
Until now, they’d been aimlessly searching for resources while lying low.
“More and more players are gathering on this island,” Huang Zhengang muttered.
“That’s not necessarily a good thing. The island’s only so big. Who knows if another storm will hit tonight. We should start preparing now.”
He began thinking about what needed to be done in the next few days.
Gao Peng sighed: “If only my Explosive Arrow worked better underwater, I would’ve finished the sea monster quest already.”
Bao Song mocked him: “You almost got killed by the monsters on land, and you’re talking about fighting one in the sea? Dream on.”
Gao Peng looked up at the blazing sun above the island and grinned, “You’re looking at it all wrong. Gotta have dreams, right?”
Just as the three were discussing their next steps—
A series of explosions echoed through the air.
“What was that sound?!”
Even Su Ning’s group was drawn to the noise.
Lin Lele: “It’s coming from the beach! Something’s happening over there!”
The explosions didn’t sound like minor skirmishes — it felt serious.
Su Ning also wanted to find out what was going on.
When she finally reached the shore, she saw that a large crowd had already gathered there.
