The supply box lay quietly in the middle of the road. Lin Huai took out the evil-dispelling alcohol spray and universal healing ointment to treat the scratch marks the green ghost’s claws had carved into her arm. Once the wounds closed and fully recovered, she stepped over to collect her loot.
Before the Newbie Protection Period even ended, she had managed not only to wipe out enemies and take their goods, but also to secure another green ghost box. Her luck was truly remarkable.
Lin Huai opened her inventory to check her total supplies, feeling a surge of confidence that she could face the coming natural disaster with courage.

Every single one of these talismans had been crafted by Lin Huai herself using the beginner workbench. A few blueprints she had found on her own, while others came from trades with Dragon Emerging from the Sea, Milk Tea Seven Parts Sugar, and Old Wang from Building Materials.
While gathering materials to push her vehicle to level four, she had spent countless hours crafting charms, which ate up massive piles of exorcism ingredients. In the end, Lin Huai had paused large-scale talisman production so she could focus her resources on the vehicle upgrade.
Because of that, her grand plan to sell talismans to other players had not started yet; she only had enough to cover her own needs.
Among her creations, the Thunderblast Talisman could launch a concentrated, single-target lightning strike. Although its range was limited to ten meters, it was easily the most destructive attack charm among the beginner recipes. Naturally, it drained spiritual power just as quickly; even with a full energy pool, she could only fire off three in a row.
The Critical Hit Talisman and Sure-Hit Talisman were also fantastic in live combat. Because of their practical value, she had crafted those in the largest quantities.
The Wind Talisman, on the other hand, only created a small whirlwind about three meters wide with force equivalent to a moderate gale. It was not even strong enough to blow an adult off their feet. Since it had little practical use in a real fight, Lin Huai made only a handful.
The Bright Fire Talisman had a similar problem. It generated a flame no bigger than a candle wick. She had used one once just to start a campfire for dinner, finding it completely underwhelming for combat, so she kept production low.
The Dust-Cleansing Talisman, however, proved to be an absolute lifesaver. She often rested inside her coffin, and transporting corpses naturally left the interior messy and stained. The cleansing talisman solved that headache with a single tap.
Better yet, one charm could clean the entire car from top to bottom, making it very cost-effective. She had crafted plenty of them and traded a good number to Dragon Emerging from the Sea, Milk Tea Seven Parts Sugar, and Old Wang from Building Materials.
Lin Huai checked the new blueprints she had collected. The best special items were likely in Don’t Run a Fever Everywhere’s possession; she had not recovered the stolen workbench for Jiangzhehu Inheritor, nor had Gold Medal Salesman carried any rare recipes.
Even so, Gold Medal Salesman had hoarded an unbelievable mountain of basic survival goods. He had clearly spent days swindling and stockpiling supplies across the zone to fund his boss’s level-four upgrade. Instead, Lin Huai had swooped in and taken everything, instantly refilling the empty inventory she had burned through for her own vehicle upgrade.

She did not have any iron dog teeth yet; those could only be harvested from iron-furred hounds in the Evil Dog Ridge dungeon. The materials for the Soul-Snatching Bell, however, were almost complete.
Just then, a roadside Safety Ambassador crept out from the weeds, eyeing her with hunger. Lin Huai stepped forward without breaking a sweat, put the creature down, and harvested the ghost soul with ease.
