Chapter 125: See You Tonight—I’ll Miss You
Qin Mochen’s facial muscles stiffened. Before he could say anything, the little girl who had launched the sneak attack had already darted upstairs at lightning speed.
Watching her run off, he paused for about four or five seconds before lifting a hand to touch the spot she had kissed.
That loud mwah—she even got saliva on his face.
He rubbed that spot with his palm. Staring at the palm that had wiped her saliva, he was dazed for a brief moment.
Then, slowly, the man’s tightly pressed thin lips lifted at both corners, forming a curve.
The curve grew larger and larger, as if it might not be able to stop.
Truly… no sense of boundaries.
Su Keke wasn’t sleepy at all. She suddenly remembered the blood-seeped broken ancient jade Wen Hao had given her. Her eyes shifted, and she quickly took it from her bag and put it on around her neck.
She had thought she would hear the strange sounds Wen Hao mentioned, or dream those dreams—but instead, Su Keke slept all the way until dawn, and even more deeply than usual.
She touched the blood-colored veins on the ancient jade, frowning in confusion. In the end, she still didn’t take it off, leaving it on her neck.
When she said goodbye to Uncle and went to school, Su Keke stepped forward and hugged the man around the waist. “Uncle, I’m going to school. See you tonight—I’ll miss you!”
When she suddenly rushed in for a hug, Qin Mochen’s body stiffened. He was just about to push her away when the little girl had already let go on her own, waved at him, and ran off.
Seeing Fourth Master looking at a loss, Aunt Lin couldn’t help laughing on the side. “Keke seems to like Fourth Master a lot. It’s rare for a junior to be so close to you. Aren’t you happy?”
Qin Mochen pressed his brow. He couldn’t quite say what he was feeling either.
In all his life, no junior had ever dared be this bold—kissing him and hugging him. The younger generation all feared and respected him.
Somewhere deep inside, he was faintly pleased, yet also a little uncomfortable.
But Qin Mochen quickly tossed that small matter to the back of his mind. He had more important things to do now.
Huaxia Shengshi Group’s industries covered many fields, but film and entertainment wasn’t among them. Qin Mochen didn’t plan to rebuild one from scratch—acquiring an existing entertainment company was a far more direct approach…

The latest gossip at Yuehua Noble School broke out, and the students exploded.
The school belle of Senior Two Class One, Jiang Fangfei, was the daughter of a mistress—her mom had actually climbed into position as “the other woman”!
For many of Yuehua’s rich second- and third-generation kids, what they hated most were illegitimate children and mistresses who replaced the lawful wife. Once the news broke, belle or not, she was still ostracized and despised by everyone.
Qin Xing whispered to the deskmates on her left and right, “Jiang Yueyue invited us to her masked ball last Friday, and in the blink of an eye she exposed Jiang Fangfei and her mom. Quietly and without a sound, she pulled off something huge. Not bad.”
Her deskmate Zhao Kexin heard the words “masked ball” and unconsciously tightened her grip on her pen, then answered as if nothing happened, “Yeah. This time she moved fast, precise, and ruthless.”
Su Keke asked in confusion, “If she makes such a huge scene, her father loses face, and her mother will be mocked too. Is this really a good method?”
Luo Man nodded as well. “Hurt the enemy by a thousand, injure yourself by eight hundred.”
“Then what method would be better?” Qin Xing snorted. “Still consider that scumbag dad? Best if his reputation rots completely—stocks crash, he bleeds losses to death. Anyway, Jiang Yueyue’s maternal family has power and influence. They don’t care about the Jiang family’s stuff.”
What the school revealed was only the mistress-and-illegitimate-daughter scandal. But what exploded in the upper circles was far more than that.
Jiang Father’s marital cheating and having a child enraged Jiang Mother Tang Hong and her maternal family, the Tang family. Who knew if the two families had some prior agreement—once the matter was exposed, Jiang Father directly transferred 20% of the company’s shares to Tang Hong. Combined with the sizable shares Tang Hong already held, she became the largest shareholder of Jiang Group.
And among the wealthy ladies’ circle, those women also distanced themselves from the current Madam Jiang—the mistress—drawing a clear line.
Jiang Fangfei’s mother had once been as glorious as could be; now she was just as miserable.
If Tang Hong had been a bit harsher, she could’ve blown the scandal up even bigger—then Jiang Group’s stock would’ve crashed, and the Tang family could’ve seized the chance to acquire the company. But in the end, she still considered her daughter’s feelings and didn’t push it to the absolute extreme.
At first, Jiang Yueyue really was hurt—because when the truth came out, what her dad cared about wasn’t that he’d wronged her and her mom. Instead, he kept making excuses for his “true love” and his precious daughter.
Whenever she thought of that scene, she felt that all these years of worship and respect for her father had been worth less than feeding a dog.
No wonder he treated Jiang Fangfei so well—always fussing over her. Turns out that was the “love child” of him and his true love. Disgusting!
While eating in the cafeteria, the “white lotus” Jiang Fangfei went to Jiang Yueyue again to put on her crying act.
As usual, Qin Xing and the others watched.
The white lotus cried with tears like pear blossoms, “Yueyue, I’m sorry, really sorry. But I didn’t know any of this. My mom told me—back then she and Dad truly loved each other, but Dad’s family wouldn’t allow it and forced him to marry someone else—”
“Shut the hell up!” Jiang Yueyue yelled. “True love my ass! True love means you can wreck someone else’s family? Jiang Fangfei, you’re only three months older than me—do you think I don’t know? My mom only got pregnant with me five months after marriage, and you’re only three months older than me!
Still messing around after marriage—your mom is disgusting. Shameless. Cheap!”
Jiang Fangfei cried even harder. “But how can you blame my mom? If it weren’t—”
“Yeah, it takes two hands to clap. My dad and your mom are both trash. So now I feel sick seeing the three of you. Fine—keep my dad. I don’t even want a father like that. Heh. Anyway, Jiang Group belongs to my mom and me now. You and your mom won’t get a single thing.”
“No, Yueyue. My mom wasn’t doing it for money. Dad was only because—”
Jiang Fangfei kept babbling, but Jiang Yueyue had no interest in playing along anymore. Go do your solo performance somewhere else!
True love? If it was true love, then have the guts to want nothing and run away with your mistress! Enjoying all the benefits of a family alliance while doing this on the side—how shameless can you be?
Even after her mistress-and-illegitimate-daughter identity was exposed and disgusted countless people, Jiang Fangfei knew how to play innocent and act pitiful. Plus she was good at winning people over—several friends who had been close to her before were still close, and Xu Hao, the boyfriend she’d stolen from Jiang Yueyue, was still completely devoted to her.
Su Keke happened to run into Jiang Fangfei once. She couldn’t help stopping, her brows knitting slightly.
She had changed.
There was a deep, deeply hidden baleful aura in her eyes.
