Chapter 262: Dracula Factory 10
Jiang Li’s group of four originally saw Chu Yian sitting alone outside for a long time, looking timid and honest, and wanted to bully her. They didn’t expect Chu Yian to be so fierce.
The four of them, having no real skills, quickly left when they realized they had met their match.
“Wait.”
Chu Yian suddenly remembered something and called out to them, “You, Jiang Li, I heard you were the first to arrive in this building?”
She wasn’t familiar with this factory yet, and wasn’t this just the person to explain things?
“Tell me about the factory.”
Jiang Li never expected to come to assert her authority, only to end up as a tour guide. “What… what do you want to hear?”
“Just tell me how this factory came to be, especially the identities of the Administrators here.”
“I don’t know that.”
“You don’t even know that, and you’re the earliest one here?”
Chu Yian’s expression darkened, and she cracked her knuckles, making a crisp sound. “Are you f*cking messing with me?”
“I actually only entered the central building two months ago, just a little earlier than you all.”
Jiang Li quickly replied, “The Administrators forbid us from discussing related topics. I only know that the highest Administrator here is called the Chairman, and he is also… one of those who drink blood.”
“Since you know they’re not human, why don’t you resist?”
Chu Yian asked in a low voice, leaning close to her ear.
“Why resist?”
Jiang Li instinctively asked, then quickly lowered her head and corrected herself, “I mean… the opponent is too powerful. Our resistance would be like throwing an egg against a rock; we’re no match for them at all.”
No.
She really hadn’t thought about resisting.
Jiang Li felt that by providing blood to these blood kin here, the blood kin provided her with a safe environment and a stable life. She was very satisfied with the current situation.
This was like a hypothetical scenario proposed in sociology.
If aliens invaded Earth and provided humans with food, clothing, housing, and transportation, but then took away their lives when they reached sixty years old, would humans choose to accept or resist?
It was a question with no easy answer.
But from Jiang Li’s response, it was clear that she only dared to bully those weaker than her and had no resolve to resist the blood kin.
Chu Yian continued to ask a few more questions, but Jiang Li didn’t know any of the important details; she could only provide some very basic information.
Each blood slave only needed to attend one blood feast a month, so Chu Yian didn’t have to worry about being taken for bloodsucking again for a while.
Blood slaves always wore blindfolds when they appeared; this was a custom of the blood feast, so no one had ever seen what the person who drank their blood looked like.
Even after becoming a blood slave, one still had to go to work every day.
Every morning at 7:30, a car would take them downstairs to work in Zone I, which was the closest factory to the central building.
Additionally, the Administrators might also be blood kin, because Jiang Li had personally witnessed an Administrator drinking blood from a blood bag.
This information wasn’t entirely useless.
Chu Yian listened to the news, leaning back in her chair with her legs crossed, then gestured to Jiang Li’s follower, pointing at the various drinks in front of them, “Go pour a cup of water.”
Jiang Li had indeed become parched after talking for so long.
She reached out to take it and said thank you, but Chu Yian glanced at her. “Was that for you to drink?”
Chu Yian snatched the water cup from Jiang Li’s hand and poked her head twice. “You have no combat ability at all, yet you try to act like a delinquent. If you had met me in my past, I would have just taken two knives and sliced off your head.”
After scaring the four girls, she slowly left the lounge area.
Day four of the game.
Less than 48 hours until the game ends.
Chu Yian had already rehearsed countless escape plans in her mind. After getting into the car, the vehicle slowly started. Within the entire factory, there were only four main roads: east, south, west, and north. Like a “cross,” they led to the four surrounding directions.
Besides two rows of trees, large areas of green grass were planted around.
As the trees on both sides continuously receded, they were already halfway there; the factory would be reached in a few minutes.
There was only one driver in the car.
Chu Yian seized the opportunity and suddenly lunged at him.
The driver, caught off guard, immediately slammed on the brakes.
Chu Yian wrestled with him inside the car, using a strip of cloth twisted from a bedsheet to tightly choke his neck. The driver struggled painfully, then let out a roar. His eyes began to turn red, his teeth gradually lengthened, and his suddenly increased strength tore the cloth strip to shreds.
The driver roared and lunged at Chu Yian.
Just then, Chu Yian pulled out the silver scepter she had won on the first day of the game, and its sharp tip pierced the lunging driver directly.
The person died.
No, that blood kin died.
Silver could indeed kill blood kin; Chu Yian had gambled correctly.
She quickly unbuckled the driver’s seatbelt, rapidly changed into the driver’s clothes, and sat in the driver’s seat to restart the car.
The factory’s main gates ahead had just opened, allowing the working blood slaves to pass through. Chu Yian seized the opportunity, stomped on the accelerator, and, ignoring the people at the gate trying to stop her, directly rushed through.
“Stop! Car ahead, stop!”
The Administrators guarding the gate chased after the car, and someone was using a walkie-talkie to report the news.
“Someone escaped from the South Gate direction.”
“Immediately blockade the gates of Zone 8.”
“The identity of the escapee is unknown, estimated to be a blood slave. The subject has a silver artifact. According to previous execution standards, kill on sight.”
…Messages from various personnel came through the walkie-talkie.
Chu Yian did not know at this moment that the news of her escape had been broadcast throughout the factory. She drove the vehicle quickly to the next building, but the access gate here had already been closed. Dozens of Administrators, armed with weapons, stood guard at the entrance, intending to force her to stop.
Seeing the vehicle, they immediately opened fire.
Chu Yian quickly crouched down, curling up under the car seat, while simultaneously pressing the accelerator to the floor.
The vehicle, traveling at high speed, crashed into the gate.
The front of the car was dented, the airbags deployed, and the gate was completely destroyed.
Chu Yian was dizzy from the impact. She shook her head and quickly climbed out of the car. At this point, the Administrators who had been blocking the outside once again picked up their weapons and strafed the vehicle. She quickly threw out her treasure box behind her to block the bullets and ran into the factory interior.
At the same time, the Administrators who had pursued her received new orders from above.
“What is the status of that blood slave now?”
“She has currently escaped. We will soon catch and kill her.”
“Repeat again, the previous handling method is invalid. This blood slave must be captured alive. Immediately change capture weapons. Remember, capture her alive.”
The message from the walkie-talkie was repeated twice, leaving the Administrators here somewhat bewildered.
Receiving the sudden notification and changing weapons wasted a lot of their time. But these people were not anxious; after all, the factory was covered in surveillance cameras, and they could find anyone even if they climbed the walls.
