Chapter 201: Global Hide and Seek 11
Chu Yian’s shot sent the players in the chat group into a frenzy.
Chu Yian, however, didn’t have time to check the group. Seizing the moment before the hunters could react, she fired another shot downwards.
Hunters and prey were different; if a hunter was hit even once, they were immediately offline.
Roles instantly reversed: the hunters became the prey, and the prey became the hunter.
The hunters gathered below quickly scattered, searching for safe cover and looking in the direction of the gunshots.
“Damn it, it’s up there!”
Finally, someone spotted the abrupt cluster on the flagpole. However, Brother Ji had already aimed at a hunter below and fired another bullet.
Another hunter was taken out, and the chat group erupted in cheers.
“666, Fei Hu Ge 666!”
“I never thought hide-and-seek could be played like this.”
“I’m truly impressed, Fei Hu Ge.”
Even his teammates were greatly shocked.
“Black Mist Go Die (Zhang Yunwu): This is too amazing. Hunting the hunters! I’m convinced, truly convinced. Big Brother’s aiming skills are incredible!”
“One Knife (Liu Wen): I finally know that You Che kid wasn’t just bragging.”
The two were genuinely impressed and convinced by Chu Yian’s actions.
After all, Zhang Yunwu only dared to secretly launch an attack in the dark. As for counter-killing hunters… he wouldn’t dare.
It would be a shame not to counter-kill from this position.
Chu Yian, holding her gun, was looking for Lu Qingyuan.
Teacher Lu’s external conditions were superior; even among many people, he was the one noticed first. Chu Yian saw him, and he also spotted her. The moment their eyes met, they both almost simultaneously raised their guns and pulled the triggers one after another.
Bang—!
Two gunshots rang out in quick succession.
Chu Yian’s bullet exploded at Lu Qingyuan’s feet, while Lu Qingyuan’s bullet directly hit her chicken wing. A holographic projection unfolded the moment she was hit—
“Detection: You have been hit once. If hit a second time, you will die.”
Damn it!
Chu Yian didn’t expect to be shot first.
However, misfortunes never come singly. A hunter, taking advantage of Chu Yian being hit and not daring to show her head, quickly ran towards the flagpole. Directly below the flagpole was Chu Yian’s blind spot.
“Brother Ji, someone is below you!”
“Shit, they’re climbing up!”
“Brother Ji, hold on! Only four minutes left. Oh no, the hunters are climbing so fast!”
…The chat group’s anxious reminders came one after another. They truly didn’t want Chu Yian to go offline. But because of Lu Qingyuan’s attack, Chu Yian was hit and at a disadvantage. She lay prone on the treasure box, not daring to show her head for now.
Lu Qingyuan walked towards the flagpole.
At this moment, an alarm sounded nearby. Someone tried to expose themselves to attract the hunters, but this action seemed ineffective at the moment. Instead, it affected Chu Yian’s hearing, interfering with her ability to discern where the hunters were coming from.
By now, Lu Qingyuan had reached the base of the flagpole. He reached out and pulled down the hunter who was clinging to the very bottom.
The hunter at the very top saw Lu Qingyuan and instinctively hugged the flagpole tightly. He thought Lu Qingyuan was coming to snatch his prey, and quickly said, “Lord Lu, I’ll grab the prey up there and bring it down for you!”
He was so close; he was sure he could catch the prey before the game ended.
Lu Qingyuan didn’t answer. Instead, he single-handedly picked up a nearby rest chair and threw it at the hunter at the very top. The heavy object struck the hunter, causing him to lose his balance and fall painfully.
The game rules stated that allies could not harm each other, meaning they couldn’t eliminate each other.
“Lu Qingyuan, you…!”
The hunter looked at Lu Qingyuan furiously, “I clearly said I’d give you the prey!”
Did he need him to give it?
Lu Qingyuan had simply realized that the hunt he desired wasn’t this kind of hunt. The moment he fired, he even hoped this prey could live a little longer.
He didn’t explain.
But because of his interruption, the hunter no longer had a chance to attack Chu Yian.
As soon as the two hours were up, both hunters and prey were automatically transported out of the game venue.
“Congratulations on surviving the second round of hide-and-seek.”
“Detection: You eliminated a hunter in this round of hide-and-seek. Congratulations on earning the title ‘Hidden Hunter’.”
Cleared!
Chu Yian once again entered the spacious white room. This time, the players were much more excited than before.
“Who is Fei Hu Ge, the big boss?”
“Brother Ji, where’s my Brother Ji? Accept this junior’s worship.”
Players were everywhere, looking for Huang Fei Hu and Brother Ji. The crowd was incredibly enthusiastic, and people who were previously strangers quickly bonded.
Meanwhile, some new players who were brought in from other game zones to fill numbers looked bewildered.
Soon, someone enthusiastically explained to them the heroic deeds of Huang Fei Hu, a player from the previous round, and how a clucking chicken had four-killed hunters. The entire room was discussing this matter. The players, whose emotions had been suppressed for a long time, became extremely excited because of this event, as if these hunters were not as invincible as they had imagined.
What these players didn’t know was that while they were excitedly sharing this good news, the hunters who had previously hunted them were now green with rage.
They suppressed their anger, looking at the players inside, feeling that their dignity as hunters had been severely provoked at this moment.
Especially that prey who had killed hunters.
“Who do you think is that clucking chicken in there?”
The hunters could see the prey inside through the one-way mirror, but they couldn’t hear their conversations. Regarding the prey who had counter-killed in the last round, they only knew it was a prey that had transformed into a clucking chicken.
But among so many prey now, who exactly was the clucking chicken?
This was a good question.
Now, both hunters and prey wanted to find the clucking chicken.
The prey affectionately called out “Brother Ji” and “Fei Hu Ge,” but they didn’t know that the clucking chicken was actually a girl.
Chu Yian didn’t actively claim this identity. Jie Yan and the other two also didn’t reveal it. Instead, they quickly found Chu Yian and used this brief time to exchange information.
“Little Chu!”
Jie Yan stood in the corner, waving at her. The three adult men formed a triangle, surrounding her.
Jie Yan lowered his voice, speaking in a way only they could hear: “The identity of Huang Fei Hu is quite sensitive. Don’t expose your identity here.”
“I know.”
Chu Yian nodded, and casually rubbed her nose.
“Did you see the person who shot you in the game?”
Jie Yan’s brows furrowed. “That person looks very much like your former companion, Lu Qingyuan.”
If it was just a resemblance, that would be one thing, but he almost had a gut feeling that it was him!
But how could Lu Qingyuan be a hunter? Jie Yan immediately suspected that there was something wrong with him. “Little Chu, is there something you’re hiding from me about Lu Qingyuan’s identity?”
“No.”
Chu Yian shook her head. “It’s just a resemblance. How could my Teacher Lu shoot me?”
