Chapter 215: The Taste of Vinegar
Lu Jingyao rarely had a full smile on his face, and the photographer beside him was frantically capturing his expression.
Xu Youyou heard this and found it a little strange. “You little girl, you’re even pulling in the name of gods now, getting more and more mysterious.”
Qing Yatou replied, “Youyou Jie, although I’ve never truly witnessed the power of a god, the world is vast, and there are many strange things. Who can really say for sure whether gods exist or not?”

Lu Jingyao suddenly said, “Although I’m a firm atheist, this time, I especially hope that your god really exists.”
Qing Yatou’s gaze suddenly went vacant, and it was as if she were being controlled by something. Her voice also changed, no longer as clear as before but instead carrying an ethereal tone.

Xu Youyou’s heart skipped a beat. “Abandoned by everyone, blood staining the snow,” wasn’t that the outcome of her past life? As for “dying far from home and being buried in filth,” that seemed to correspond to Lu Jingyao’s experiences abroad.
“What do you mean by time reversal?” Lu Jingyao asked softly.
Qing Yatou seemed to snap out of it suddenly. She picked up a seasoning jar and sprinkled it on the food she had just grilled.
Turning her head, she saw Lu Jingyao staring at her and curiously asked, “Mr. Lu, are you speaking to me?”
Xu Youyou noticed the clear look in her eyes and began to suspect something. She asked, “Don’t you remember what you just said?”
Qing Yatou replied, “Wasn’t I talking about the power of the gods?”
Xu Youyou and Lu Jingyao exchanged a glance, and then she couldn’t help but think, Thank goodness this is a video shoot and not a live broadcast.
She had already decided to have this part cut out during post-editing.
However, Qing Yatou didn’t seem to be foolish. She said, “Did I say something strange again? Don’t mind it. Sometimes I say weird things, and I can’t control it myself. Just don’t take it to heart.”
“Does this happen often?” Xu Youyou asked.
Earlier, she had thought Qing Yatou seemed to be a little eccentric, like she had some unstable fortune-telling ability. But now, seeing her odd behavior and even seeing through the original life trajectories of herself and Lu Jingyao, Xu Youyou felt more and more that this girl was extraordinary in many ways.

Lu Jingyao asked, “Do you think she was talking about us?”
Xu Youyou nodded slightly.
Lu Jingyao’s heart tightened. Whether abandoned by everyone or dying far from home, he didn’t want to see Xu Youyou end up like that.
“Don’t worry, even if it’s a prophecy, fate is not unchangeable. I’ve always believed that man can overcome the heavens,” Lu Jingyao reassured her.
Xu Youyou shook her head. She had already experienced this kind of thing in her previous life. What Qing Yatou mentioned about “the original fate” was still unclear to her.

“I hope you don’t think of me as someone afraid of death,” Lu Jingyao said.
Xu Youyou shook her head vigorously. “It’s not about fearing death. How does that make me afraid of death? I think our bodyguards aren’t enough. When we return to Hu City, let’s double our security, okay?”
