Liu Dazhi had originally planned to persistently pursue Xu Youyou, even using special means if necessary. Since Xu Youyou had softened, he naturally intended to push further: “This is originally our Dragon King’s house. How can you ask Lord Dragon King for money?”

Liu Dazhi spoke objectively, saying, “At the Lu family banquet last time, this girl gave the Gu family a big slap in the face. When the Red Dragon King heard “Lu Jingyao,” his brows furrowed tightly.

“A shameless brat,” the Red Dragon King muttered under his breath.
Liu Dazhi wasn’t sure who he was cursing, but he immediately bowed his head and dared not utter a word of disagreement.
“Go and tell the Gu family that the fake bottles I have are to be bought back. This house is their mess, and they have to resolve it.”
Liu Dazhi, hearing the Red Dragon King’s words, immediately looked troubled, but he knew that once a task was given to him, he had no choice but to complete it. If he failed, it would reflect poorly on him.
“You’ve failed twice in your tasks. If you’re not punished, how can we maintain discipline?” the Red Dragon King suddenly said.
Liu Dazhi’s neck stiffened, and he knelt, saying, “Uncle, I’m willing to pay a fine…”
The Red Dragon King chuckled lightly. “What are you kneeling for? Get up. How many times have I told you, we’re family.”
Liu Dazhi stood up but didn’t dare to relax.
The Red Dragon King smiled and said, “Your younger brother, I heard he’s your stepmother’s son?”
Liu Dazhi’s heart skipped a beat, and he slowly nodded.
The Red Dragon King continued, “Now that Myanmar has high salaries, send him there to work. It’ll be a great honor for your family.”
Liu Dazhi’s face turned pale. Myanmar was notorious for its involvement in telecom fraud, and it was unlikely his brother would return intact. Although his brother was his half-sibling, they didn’t have a close relationship, but that didn’t mean he wished for him to meet a bad end.
Since the Red Dragon King had already given him this order, it meant the matter was settled. He was merely going through the motions now.
The Red Dragon King obviously didn’t want to hear any pleas from him. He waved his hand, signaling for him to leave.
Once Liu Dazhi left the cold, Buddhist hall where the Red Dragon King usually resided, he hurriedly took out his phone and called home.
His stepmother’s triumphant voice came through the phone, “Dazhi, you’ve got that million-dollar job, but you wouldn’t even take your brother with you. Now he doesn’t need you. He’s already on a plane abroad with an annual salary of two million, higher than yours!”
Liu Dazhi’s face turned ashen, and cold sweat began to form on his back. He knew this was the Red Dragon King’s warning: this time it was just his distant half-brother, but next time, it could be his full-blooded sister or even his own children…
The Gu family had been disgraced because of Xu Youyou, but they never expected the Red Dragon King’s issues would eventually come back to haunt them.
“How dare Xu Youyou be so bold? She’s even provoking the Red Dragon King?” Mrs. Gu shouted anxiously.
She now realized her biological daughter was not a soft target. Anyone who tried to take advantage of Xu Youyou would surely get pricked.
Gu Jianming’s face darkened. “What can’t she dare? Isn’t she always so reckless?”

Gu Jianming waved his hand. “I have other plans.”
Mrs. Gu made a regretful face, but once out of her husband’s sight, she immediately smiled. She was also afraid her husband would leave this troublesome matter to her. Now that it had been pushed aside, she could continue to enjoy her privileged life as Mrs. Gu.
She immediately made a call to another wealthy lady, asking without a care, “Mrs. Wang, are you free to play cards this afternoon?”
