Chapter 4: Who Told You It’s the Women’s Changing Room?
Fang Xiaocao, a naive and clueless college student with clear yet somewhat foolish eyes, couldn’t even recognize most car logos, let alone understand anything about cars.
Fortunately, there weren’t many people at the car dealership today, and even fewer women—Fang Xiaocao was the only one.
As soon as she appeared, she immediately caught the attention of the car dealers.
Just as she stood there, unsure of what to do, a dealer quickly approached her with a smile.
“Miss, are you here to check out some cars?”
Relieved that someone had approached her, Fang Xiaocao let out a breath and nodded.
“Yes, I’m looking for a car for daily commuting.”
Fang Xiaocao had a driver’s license, which she had obtained as soon as she was old enough, but she had never been able to afford a car of her own.
Hearing her response, the dealer’s smile widened.
“Do you have a specific brand in mind?” he asked.
“Don’t worry, all the cars here are in great condition. Each vehicle comes with a detailed description, including whether it has been in an accident or if it has original parts. Everything is clearly written in the contract.”
Looking around at the cars, Fang Xiaocao blinked and smiled.
“A friend told me that the MINI is a great car for women. Do you have any here?”
She got straight to the point, asking about the MINI mentioned in the mysterious messages.
Fang Xiaocao had no idea what brand MINI belonged to or what it even looked like. If it weren’t for the message, she wouldn’t have even known this model existed.
“Oh, miss, you came at just the right time!”
“A MINI just arrived. The transfer procedures were just completed. If you had come a bit earlier, you wouldn’t have been able to see it yet.”
Hearing this, Fang Xiaocao’s eyes lit up. Everything was lining up perfectly—this was the car she was supposed to buy.
“Can I take a look?” she asked eagerly.
“Of course, right this way.”
The dealer led her to the car.
“There it is—a MINI,” he said, pointing at a compact and stylish vehicle.
At first glance, Fang Xiaocao’s eyes sparkled with excitement.
The car was small, adorable, sleek, and refined—exactly what she had envisioned as her dream car.
“How much is it?” she asked.
“This is a top-tier BMW MINI, barely driven, only about 10,000 kilometers. Original paint, no accidents, strictly used for grocery runs and city driving—only 200,000 yuan.”
As he spoke, the dealer pulled out a detailed inspection report from the driver’s side and handed it to her.
Fang Xiaocao took the report, glanced at it, and pretended to study it seriously.
“Looks good. I’ll take it.”
She nodded, smiling.
The dealer was briefly stunned before grinning.
“Miss, you’re straightforward! Let’s go inside to handle the paperwork.”
He was a little regretful now—if he had known she wouldn’t bargain, he would have quoted a higher price!
Inside the office, Fang Xiaocao signed the contract and transferred the money.
The dealer, seeing she was just a young woman, generously arranged for someone to assist her with all the paperwork and even got her license plate set up.
An hour later, Fang Xiaocao was driving her new MINI at a snail’s pace back to the hotel.
It was her first time driving alone, and she gripped the steering wheel tightly, eyes locked straight ahead, terrified of making a mistake.
After overcoming her initial nerves, by the time she reached the hotel, she was handling the car with ease.
Parking in the underground garage, Fang Xiaocao began inspecting the car.
She didn’t believe for a second that her future self would specifically tell her to buy this car for no reason.
There had to be something hidden inside.
She checked the interior, every crevice, the trunk…
One minute…
Five minutes…
Ten minutes…
She even looked under the car.
Finally, sitting back in the driver’s seat, Fang Xiaocao frowned.
“Could it really just be because I like this car?” she murmured.
Ding!
[Your friend has sent you a message.]
In the silent underground parking lot, the sudden notification sound startled her.
Picking up her phone, she saw a WeChat message.
Without hesitation, she opened it.
[Burning Hot Noodles: Let me guess, you’re about to take the car apart? Don’t bother—the thing isn’t in the car.]
[Flip down the sun visor. The numbers written there are a code.]
[Go to the Hong Romance Bathhouse. Find locker 305 and enter the code. Inside, you’ll find what you’re looking for.]
[Don’t worry. The car’s previous owner is already dead. Right now, besides me, no one else knows about what’s in locker 305.]
Reading the message, Fang Xiaocao felt a chill run down her spine.
Judging by the tone, the previous owner didn’t die a natural death.
Most likely, they had been killed because of what was inside locker 305.
[Burning Hot Noodles: Just follow the plan. You’ll be fine. If anything happens to you, I’ll die too.]
As if sensing her hesitation, another message arrived.
Fang Xiaocao bit her lip.
This future version of herself had guided her safely through everything so far—from avoiding trouble to making a fortune. She had no reason to doubt now.
Taking a deep breath, she started the car, entered “Hong Romance Bathhouse” into the GPS, and followed the navigation out of the parking lot.
When she arrived at the bathhouse, she felt the security guard’s strange gaze on her as she hesitantly stepped inside.
The name alone made it obvious—this was not a proper establishment.
Men of all kinds were coming and going, along with women dressed in revealing and flamboyant outfits.
A young college girl like Fang Xiaocao?
She stood out like a sore thumb!
Taking advantage of the receptionist’s momentary confusion, she quickly made her way upstairs to the third floor.
Locating the women’s changing room, she went straight in.
Standing in front of locker 305, she entered the code…
Incorrect password!
Fang Xiaocao froze.
She quickly grabbed her phone and typed:
“The code isn’t working!”
[Burning Hot Noodles: Who told you it was the women’s changing room?]
Fang Xiaocao went stiff.
Not the women’s room…
That meant—
She had to go into the men’s changing room?!
She stood there in shock.
[Burning Hot Noodles: Your choice. If you don’t go, that windfall will belong to someone else.]
“A fortune…”
Fang Xiaocao repeated the words under her breath like a mantra.
Finally, she clenched her fists and stormed out of the women’s room, marching straight toward the men’s changing room!
With the men’s and women’s rooms on opposite ends of the hallway, everyone around watched as she made a beeline for the men’s room, their gazes filled with bewilderment.
