“A weasel paying respects to a chicken, huh?” Zhuang Wan muttered sarcastically.
They all knew what Su Zhenglan had said last time he visited.
On one hand, he was guilt-tripping them with moral coercion, and on the other, he was maliciously speculating that their boss had climbed the ranks by relying on men.
Meng Xiaobo might be a bit simple-minded, but he wasn’t stupid. He grumbled,
“Boss, just give the word, and I’ll kick him out right away.”
Su Tao waved her hand dismissively, not taking the matter to heart.
“Go ahead. Oh, and don’t bother explaining anything to him—it’s a waste of breath.”
With her approval, Meng Xiaobo marched out confidently. When he reached the entrance, he immediately started shooing Su Zhenglan away, glaring at him as he warned,
“Don’t come back. There’s no job for you here. And our Miss Su doesn’t care about your so-called gift.”
Su Zhenglan was pushed back. Thinking about how he had been turned away multiple times before, and recalling all the unfair treatment and humiliation he had faced at Taoyang’s entrance, a surge of anger welled up inside him.
He suddenly shoved Meng Xiaobo back. Though he didn’t manage to move him, he spoke with confidence, “I’m warning you, you’d better not mess with me. I almost forgot to tell you—my eldest sister is back! Do you know who my new brother-in-law is? He’s the second-in-command of Xindu, the largest base in the South! Ever heard of the Southern Base Alliance Summit? My brother-in-law is the one hosting it!”
“I came here today to bring something special for my sister—something she’s never seen before. Tell her there’s no need to thank me!”
With that, he dropped the gift box on the ground, let out a snort, and walked away.
Meng Xiaobo was left completely confused but had no choice but to pick up the gift box and take it back to report.
Zhuang Wan and Qian Rongrong were both surprised when they saw the box.
“He really did bring a gift. What is it?”
Seeing their curiosity, Su Tao chuckled.
“Go ahead and open it.”
Then she turned to Meng Xiaobo.
“Did he say anything else?”
Meng Xiaobo scratched his head.
“Something about his sister being back… Seems like she found herself a powerful man. He also mentioned some kind of summit, but I didn’t really get it.”
Su Tao was taken aback.

Tangdou is almost four years old now… and she found a powerful man?
Seeing that Meng Xiaobo couldn’t remember more details, Su Tao pulled up the security footage to check for herself. When she heard Su Zhenglan mention “Xindu Base’s second-in-command” and “Southern Alliance Summit,” her brows furrowed slightly.
