Doomsday: Scavenging in a Survival Game – CH143

Giant Crabs, Cave Exploration

Chapter 143: Giant Crabs, Cave Exploration

Faced with the giant crabs gathering around them, the group couldn’t help but swallow hard—not out of fear, but hunger.

Lin Lele, never missing a chance to lighten the mood, joked, “Hey, these giant crabs may look terrifying because of their size, but… they’re still crabs, right? Shouldn’t they be edible?”

With her remark, the previously tense atmosphere immediately shifted.

Gao Peng swallowed the drool that had nearly escaped from his mouth and said, “Should we give it a try?”

Su Ning clearly felt the eyes of her companions start to glow green, like hungry wolves catching sight of a feast.

Everyone began fantasizing about what these giant crabs might taste like—imagining different cooking styles and mouthwatering dishes.

Giant Crab: My life is over…

The crabs wanted to attack and assert their dominance, but the situation had already turned against them.

Even Lin Lele, who had seen them as dangerous before, now viewed them as walking ingredients. As a foodie, how could she fear ingredients?

“Hurry up and get in my belly!”

“Take this—Heavenly Net Trap!”

Her hair suddenly grew long, weaving into a massive net that shot toward the crab to bind it.

However—SNAP! SNAP!— The crab’s claws cut right through her hair!

“My hair!!” Lin Lele’s eyes flared with fury.

The rage from losing her precious coconuts earlier now erupted completely.

“How dare you cut a beautiful lady’s glorious hair?! Take this—Poison Dragon Drill!!!”

Her hair coiled into a spiraling drill and spun fiercely toward the crab in a full-on attack.

Huang Zhenggang and the others, who had been eager to fight, silently lowered their weapons and took a few steps back.

Bao Song muttered, “As expected… an angry woman is terrifying.”

Huang Zhenggang nodded. “She doesn’t even need us—Lele’s got it covered.”

Su Ning and Nan Sheng exchanged glances and couldn’t help but laugh.

Before long, the monstrous crabs that had threatened them were strung up and roasting over a roaring fire, skewered like shish kebabs.

Lin Lele tidied her hair, relieved that it could regrow quickly—no need to worry about her appearance.

Soon, the mouthwatering aroma of grilled crab meat filled the cave.

“It’s been so long since I had meat—this is heavenly!” Bao Song said, tearing into a giant crab leg with no regard for manners.

“Yeah, we may have lost a bunch of coconuts, but if we take down a few more of these crab monsters, we’ll have more than made up for it,” Huang Zhenggang agreed as he munched contentedly.

Su Ning also tasted the crab meat. She had to admit—the seafood resources in this instance were incredibly abundant. For now, she would set aside thoughts of the danger. The materials here were rich and rewarding.

As the group feasted on the crabs, thunder rumbled violently outside.

“BOOM! BOOM!”

The deafening crashes sounded like the heavens themselves were being torn apart.

Then came the howl of a powerful hurricane, its eerie wail creeping into the cave and chilling everyone to the bone.

“I can’t even imagine how terrifying it must be out there…” Nan Sheng said worriedly, clutching her crab meat tighter.

But Lin Lele remained remarkably calm. She looked at Nan Sheng and said gently, “Don’t be afraid. As long as we’re together, we’ll get through any danger.”

Just then, Su Ning suddenly stood up and began walking deeper into the cave.

Lin Lele quickly called out, “Ke Xin, where are you going?”

Of course, Su Ning couldn’t reveal that she was heading in to investigate the cave further. Instead, she glanced at her tiger, You You, who was still gnawing on crab meat, and replied casually, “This guy clearly didn’t get enough. I’m going to catch a few more.”

Lin Lele perked up, eyes shining. “Let me help! I’m experienced!”

But Su Ning shook her head. “You should rest. Don’t waste your energy. It’s only the beginning of the night—we don’t know what other dangers are waiting. Better to save our strength.”

With that, she turned and headed deeper into the cave.

“You You, follow me,” Su Ning said in a low voice.

“You be careful! It’s dangerous in there,” Huang Zhenggang called after her.

Su Ning nodded in acknowledgment and walked into the darkness of the cave, her loyal tiger padding close at her heels.

Inside, the cave was narrow and winding, filled with sharp turns and twisting passages.

There were also many tunnels leading off in different directions—a confusing, maze-like structure that made her frown.

“This place is a headache,” she muttered, picking her way forward while glancing back.

“You You, they didn’t follow me, right?”

The tiger sniffed the air and shook its head, indicating there were no others nearby.

Su Ning exhaled in relief.

Then she waved her hand lightly, summoning Hong Hong to fly to her side.

With the red bird by her side, Su Ning felt much more at ease.

She continued deeper into the cavern, while back at the entrance, the others began discussing Su Ning.

Huang Zhenggang, still watching the direction she’d gone, turned to the group.

As team leader, he had to prioritize the safety of his people. Su Ning going off alone unsettled him.

“What do you guys think of this player—Su Kexin?”

Gao Peng, still pale and weakened from his injuries, replied weakly, “From what I’ve seen, she hasn’t even glanced at the loot in our backpacks. I don’t think she’s after our stuff.”

Bao Song ran his hand along the blade of his giant axe and added, “I think she’s definitely not weak. You don’t go wandering into dark caves alone unless you’ve got serious confidence. And she has that strange creature with her—she’s not ordinary.”

Lin Lele chimed in, “I think she’s great! It’s rare to meet someone in a dungeon who helps you right from the start.”

Nan Sheng nodded. “Since I started traveling with her, I can tell she’s a strong person.”

One by one, they shared their opinions. Finally, Huang Zhenggang nodded.

“If we’re lucky enough to meet someone like her, we should treat her well. One more friend is always better than one more enemy.”

Everyone agreed.

In this dangerous and unpredictable game world, a reliable ally was a rare and precious thing. And Su Kexin’s strength and kindness had already won their trust and goodwill.

“Let’s hope we make it through this instance safely,” Bao Song said.

Su Ning stepped into a deeper cavern and found it pitch-black.

Without hesitation, she pulled a flashlight from her storage space.

As the light pierced the darkness, dozens of eerie eyes flashed in the shadows, sending a chill down her spine.

Using her Scavenger’s Eye, Su Ning scanned the area.

Those eyes mostly belonged to the sea monsters that had previously fled the ocean.

Perhaps disturbed by her presence, the creatures all turned to stare in her direction.
