Chapter 131: Administrator? Super Misfortune
Li Ming was confused about why Su Ning wasn’t attempting to complete the kill quest to unlock the [Planting Space], but Su Ning simply replied with, “It depends on fate,” leaving Li Ming puzzled.
At the same time, in another location within the Corpse Hell instance, a spatial gate suddenly appeared.
A short dwarf-like man with a massive device on his head, and a tall, slender man in black summer clothes stepped out of the portal.
“A, are you sure the two Luck Disruptors are really in this instance?”
The dwarf’s tone was full of doubt.
“Z, you know my ability. I’m certain the Luck Disruptors are here.”
The slender man replied confidently.
There was an aura of mystery around him, making others instinctively curious.
“Z, the talents [Super Luck] and [Super Misfortune] are both phenomenon-level powers. We must retrieve them.
These abilities are far too strong. If they’re not controlled by the Administrators, and continue to grow unchecked, they could break the rules of the survival game.”
— A spoke sternly.
Their conversation revealed how seriously they viewed the threat of these “Luck Disruptors.”
Clearly, they believed these talents carried immense destructive potential and value — and they intended to bring them under Administrator control to maintain the order and balance of the game world.
Z, the dwarf with the large headgear, nodded in agreement.
His eyes reflected seriousness.
“As long as they’re here, that’s fine. I just hope we didn’t make this trip for nothing.”
His voice carried a trace of anxiety — he seemed genuinely worried about the mission.
A continued:
“I just didn’t expect both [Super Luck] and [Super Misfortune] to awaken in two individuals from the same world.
If those two truly master and wield these talents, it’ll bring enormous trouble for us trainee Administrators.”
Z added,
“Yes. Administrator S ordered us to retrieve both talents as soon as possible.
Even though the two hosts haven’t fully mastered their powers yet, they’re already a headache to deal with.
[Super Luck]’s ability to turn misfortune into fortune, and [Super Misfortune]’s calamity induction — both are extremely problematic.”
A suddenly smiled, his tone full of confidence:
“We don’t need to worry. Look — I brought the Talent Skill Jammer. Within its range, all players’ talents and skills are nullified. With this, we can easily take down both hosts.”
As he spoke, he proudly displayed the floating device in his hand.
Z reminded him, “But the jammer affects us too.”
A waved it off, “Don’t worry. It’s not like there are any players in this world who’ve awakened a bloodline. We’ve got nothing to worry about.”
He closed his eyes briefly and sensed the surroundings.
“Alright, let’s begin. I’ve already locked onto the host of [Super Misfortune]. The sooner we retrieve the power, the sooner we can leave. This instance is disgusting. Why are there so many zombie-type dungeons anyway?”
Z chuckled, “You’ll have to ask that perverted Administrator of Generation Three, X.
She’s the one in charge of all virus-type dungeons.”
Clearly, A had a cleanliness obsession — the stench in the air made him visibly uncomfortable.
“Let’s wrap this up quickly. I seriously can’t stand this place. Once I become a full Administrator, I’ll make sure every filthy zombie-type dungeon is completely erased.”
Meanwhile, Bao Qingsong stood on top of a billboard.
Thanks to his [Super Misfortune] talent, he didn’t fear zombies at all.
His ability ensured that any being harboring ill will toward him would suffer inexplicable bad luck.
When he had first awakened, someone had tried to steal the supplies he had just found. But the very next second, that person tripped over a rock that came out of nowhere and face-planted on the ground.
Now that his ability had grown stronger, any being that harbored hostility or killing intent toward him would instantly be struck by misfortune — or even death by “mysterious accidents.”
Standing atop the billboard, he shouted loudly to draw attention. Zombies noticed him and began to move in to attack.
But the moment they did, they’d inexplicably collapse and die.
“Hahaha! With this ability, what do I have to be afraid of? I’m invincible! Come at me however you like!”
Thinking about how killing 100,000 zombies would unlock the [Planting Space], and seeing that he had already completed a tenth of that, Bao Qingsong was already fantasizing about his peaceful future.
“Heh… after that, I can do whatever I want.”
However, he’d also discovered a downside to his talent — overusing it would cause him to suffer misfortune as well.
Luckily, he had found a workaround.
By leveraging his misfortune-based power, he had acquired a new skill called [Jinx’s Tongue], which let him redirect misfortune that was about to fall on himself and transfer it to others.
“I really am a genius!”
Just as he was happily using his [Super Misfortune] to kill zombies…
A spatial gate suddenly opened nearby.
The moment A and Z stepped through the portal, A’s legs tangled, and he tripped. If Z hadn’t blocked him with his own cane, A would’ve landed face-first on a sharp, broken steel pipe sticking out of the ground.
The consequences would have been devastating.
Z was visibly shocked, “Looks like the host of [Super Misfortune] has started learning how to use the talent. Now that we’ve developed hostile intent toward him, the effect is already hitting us.”
A’s expression darkened.
As a Trainee Administrator, he had nearly been taken out by a freak accident — how could he not be angry?
“Get the Talent Jammer out. Let’s take him down!”
Z, worried about being affected himself, quickly retrieved the floating device.
Bao Qingsong had already noticed them the moment the spatial gate appeared — the visual alone was impossible to ignore.
And when he saw A stumble and nearly fall, Bao Qingsong immediately sobered up.
“These two clearly aren’t friendly…”
He smirked darkly, “Then I’ll let you witness the terrifying combo of [Super Misfortune] + [Jinx’s Tongue]!”
He also noticed that A and Z had taken out a floating orb-shaped device, but he didn’t care.
“Heh. Nobody can hurt me. Anyone who tries will just be struck down by some freak accident!”
Then, Bao Qingsong activated his [Jinx’s Tongue] skill:
“Are you two gonna be crushed by falling rocks out of nowhere?”
Silence.
Two seconds passed.
Nothing happened — just two birds flying awkwardly across the sky.
Bao Qingsong’s eyes widened in disbelief.
“What the hell?! Why didn’t it work?”
Z glanced at the floating device.
“Looks like the Talent Skill Jammer is active. Let’s finish this!”
A nodded.
Due to the jammer, even they were restricted — they couldn’t use their powers, only tools.
Suddenly, a chain flew out of A’s hand like a silver serpent, wrapping around Bao Qingsong at lightning speed.
Bao Qingsong, still stunned by his skill failing, didn’t have time to dodge — he was instantly restrained.
“Capture complete,” A said casually.
“Shame we can’t kill him immediately. If the host of [Super Misfortune] dies, the talent will just find a new host.”
Z added, “Knock him out instead. I also can’t use my spatial powers right now. Next, we’ll go after the host of [Super Luck].”
