Chapter 57— Sweet Moments to Ship
When Xu Nianshen first came in, he saw the girl lying on her desk.
He asked Chen Qianxi, who was handing out homework, “What’s wrong with her?”
“Ah, Jiujiu had insomnia last night. Didn’t sleep well. She’s catching up on rest now.”
Xu Nianshen nodded, though a little puzzled. Insomnia? Why insomnia?
He turned his head to glance at her, then reached out and tugged down the sleeve she had pushed up, covering her wrist.
When Chen Qianxi handed their homework to the two of them, she silently “oh”-ed in her heart.

Lin Yuejiu stayed in the same position for a long time. It looked uncomfortable. She shifted, turned her head, and her hand touched something. She pulled it closer and rested her head on it.
Xu Nianshen had been working on a problem when suddenly his left hand was pulled away, pressed against something warm. He turned and saw the little girl using his arm as a pillow, sleeping deeply.
The rest of the class who witnessed this scene were stunned.

He asked softly again, “But Study God Xu and Goddess Lin aren’t an actual couple, right? Why are you shipping them?”
Chen Qianxi: “That’s exactly why it’s fun to ship them!”

Seeing his confused look, Chen Qianxi bent low, whispering until the two of them nearly ducked under their desks.

“So… do you want to ship them too?”
“…Well, I usually prefer to let things happen naturally.”
But Chen Qianxi shoved her phone over, showing him the pictures she’d just taken. Du Zhuo leaned in. After a full minute, he rubbed his chin thoughtfully, “You know… what you just said actually makes sense.”
Chen Qianxi whispered, “These are my secret photos. I don’t show them to anyone else. But since you’re joining the CP ship, I’ll let you take a peek. Just don’t tell anyone.”
Du Zhuo gave her an OK sign, then even zipped his mouth shut with an imaginary zipper.
Chen Qianxi beamed, “Congratulations—you’ve officially joined the Nianshen × Yuejiu CP Army.”
Du Zhuo, with a serious face, “Understood.”
The two of them quietly turned back, both staring at the pair in front.
Neither Lin Yuejiu nor Xu Nianshen had any idea that their CP army had just gained a new member—pulled in by none other than Chen Qianxi, who immediately added him to the “Shipping CP” QQ group.

Chen Qianxi: [This is Du Zhuo, my deskmate. He just officially joined yesterday.]

The bell rang. Lin Yuejiu frowned slightly. Xu Nianshen sighed helplessly and called her softly, his voice gentle, “Wake up now.”
Lin Yuejiu only furrowed her brows tighter, refusing to open her eyes.
Xu Nianshen coaxed, “Come on, class is starting, the teacher will be here any second.”
Unwillingly, she cracked her eyes open. The light stabbed at them, too bright.
The next second, a shadow fell over her vision. When her eyes adjusted, she saw clearly—and the face that came into view was Xu Nianshen’s handsome one.
Seeing her awake, Xu Nianshen smiled slightly, “Awake?”
His face was haloed by the sunlight, making his features blur with a hazy glow. His voice was cool and clear.
“You’re… a little too close, aren’t you?”
Xu Nianshen raised his brows, his gaze meaningful.
Something felt off to Lin Yuejiu. Following his eyes, she realized her face had been resting on his left arm.
Like she’d been shocked with electricity, she immediately sat bolt upright, “Sorry!”
He chuckled. “It’s fine.”
Lin Yuejiu rubbed at her face, then asked, “Why didn’t you move your arm away?”
Xu Nianshen was massaging his arm, which had gone numb. At her question, he lifted his brow slightly, “Wasn’t it you who pulled my hand over to use as a pillow?”
Lin Yuejiu: “???”
Xu Nianshen looked completely at ease, “I was working on a problem when you suddenly yanked my arm over and made it your pillow. I tried to pull away, but couldn’t.”
“Re… really?” Her expression showed obvious disbelief.
“Don’t believe me? Ask the others.”
Chen Qianxi, having overheard, quickly patted Lin Yuejiu’s shoulder and revealed the truth, “It’s true.”
Lin Yuejiu turned to Du Zhuo. He nodded as well, “True. Lots of people saw.”
