After Xu Youyou’s car left the Tomson Riviera, Liu Dazhi immediately emerged from behind some nearby cover with his subordinates.
“It’s noon. Where is she going?” Liu Dazhi muttered under his breath.
After following her, they saw several well-dressed men accompanying Xu Youyou.
One of Liu Dazhi’s subordinates, looking at the familiar figures, said, “Brother Liu, that’s someone from the Anning Real Estate on the street next to ours. The leader is Wang Bo, my good brother.”
Liu Dazhi was confused. “How is she buying another house?”
The subordinate replied, “I just asked around. They said this young lady…” The subordinate awkwardly corrected himself. “This wealthy woman is their big client. She’s planning to buy an independent villa. When they did the fund verification, they couldn’t even count the zeros in her account.”
Liu Dazhi felt a pang of bitterness. “An orphan… How did she make so much money? I’m an orphan too, but I still have a mortgage to pay.”
The subordinate hesitated, unsure whether to continue.
Noticing his strange expression, Liu Dazhi asked, “Did you find out anything else?”
The subordinate stiffened and said, “My brother told me that the rich woman doesn’t have a lawn at her current house. Her dog likes to run around on the grass, so she’s planning to buy a villa with a yard for the dog.”
Liu Dazhi nearly lost his composure. “Damn it, even the dogs of rich people live better than us!”
The subordinate nodded nervously and added, “Brother Liu, do you know how much the middle-aged woman beside the rich lady earns?”
“How much?” Liu Dazhi guessed it must be a sum he could never hope to make.
The subordinate answered, “You know, my brother Wang Bo is really good at prying things out. That lady said she’s the rich woman’s assistant and chauffeur, and she also plans to buy a house in Hucheng. It seems her basic salary is 100,000 RMB a month.”
Liu Dazhi was completely stunned. “Basic salary? Does that mean she gets benefits too?”
The subordinate nodded gravely. “Not just that. It’s said that the rich woman often gives out bonuses worth several tens of thousands, just like that, when she’s in a good mood.”
Liu Dazhi’s jealousy reached a boiling point. He had only heard of people looking for faults when they disagreed, but never of people handing out money when they disagreed. The subordinate, still thinking about the situation, said, “The rich woman must be so lonely, even her dog has to have its own villa. If she’s willing, I’m happy to pretend to be a dog!”
Liu Dazhi slapped his subordinate on the forehead. “Such good things don’t come to people like you!”
The subordinate rubbed his head, feeling wronged.
Liu Dazhi sighed. “Keep digging. I refuse to believe there’s no weakness with a rich person.”
The subordinate muttered, “What weakness could a rich person have? Aren’t they just worried they won’t spend enough money?”
Liu Dazhi went silent.
Xu Youyou, on the other hand, didn’t have any family visible, so they couldn’t threaten her that way. Although she owned an entertainment company, there was no sign of tax evasion or illegal activities, and she wasn’t involved in forced prostitution. It was hard to find any dirt on her.
“Boss, we’ve been followed all day,” one of the bodyguards whispered as they were viewing houses.
Xu Youyou had been focused on Guai Guai and the house, and hadn’t noticed the “rats” lurking in the shadows.
“Go take care of it,” Xu Youyou instructed.
Two bodyguards pretended to head to the restroom, then circled around to approach Liu Dazhi from behind.
“They’ve entered, but it looks like two people are missing. Where did they go?” Liu Dazhi asked his subordinate.
Suddenly, he felt a tap on his shoulder. Turning around, he saw two stern-faced bodyguards.
“Been following us for almost an hour? What do you want?” Liu Dazhi asked.
Liu Dazhi was used to trailing people, but this was the first time he’d been caught. Maybe it was because the person they were tailing was Xu Youyou, who always had a few large bodyguards with her.
“We’re not following anyone… we’re just here to look at the house,” Liu Dazhi’s subordinate stammered.
The bodyguards looked at them intently and said, “Looking at houses here requires fund verification, and there’s usually a real estate agent with you. When you talk nonsense, maybe think it through first.”
Liu Dazhi felt like they had struck a nerve, and he didn’t want to speak any further.
The bodyguards weren’t too surprised that they had snuck in. After all, for people like them who had experience in the underworld, even with “complete security,” there were still loopholes. They knew how to slip in unnoticed.
Because sneaking in was dishonorable, Liu Dazhi had only brought one subordinate with him, making him look weaker.

Xu Youyou had finished viewing the entire villa by then.

Xu Youyou replied, “I don’t buy things just because they’re cheap.”
The agent was left speechless.
Before they could leave, there was a commotion at the villa’s entrance. It seemed like another agent had brought someone over.
It was normal to have multiple agents for a property, but luxury homes typically had just one agent.
Xu Youyou, who had gotten used to peace and quiet, couldn’t help but frown at the noisy scene.
“Mrs. Gu, Miss Gu, this villa is the most cost-effective one among the properties currently listed. You’ve chosen the right one,” one of the agents said.
Mrs. Gu was holding a Hermes Himalaya bag, looking around the house. The living room had an 8-meter high ceiling, and the sunlight poured in, making everything seem so perfect.
Gu Xueying was also very happy. Although her marriage wasn’t completely settled yet, once they bought this house, it would become her dowry.
But when mother and daughter saw Xu Youyou and her group walking toward them, their expressions turned sour.
