Chapter 151: Wutong High School 10
Chu Yian had successfully entered the Dormitory Management Center.
Although she ran fast, there were already players who had arrived at the Dormitory Management Center earlier than her. A total of 5 people, divided into two teams of two and three, stood together.

The two-person team got their keys the fastest and left immediately after receiving them.
The three-person team, however, encountered a problem. When it was the second person’s turn, a dormitory manager in a black uniform appeared.
Chu Yian was only one person away from him, and she witnessed the dormitory manager, originally in a blue uniform, change to black the moment he extended his hand to give the player a dormitory key. The change was so rapid that the player’s hand trembled as he reached for the key, slamming on the brakes at the last second and failing to take it.
Immediately after, he pulled out his student handbook and attacked the dormitory manager in the black uniform.
— Rule 9: Please collect your key from a dormitory manager wearing a blue uniform. If a dormitory manager in any other color uniform appears, do not accept the key he offers and use the Student Handbook to attack him until he leaves.
There were other staff members in the Dormitory Management Center, yet they all seemed oblivious to what was happening, each busy with their own tasks.
His companions dared not intervene, fearing that their actions would bring unnecessary trouble.
Chu Yian leaned in close, watching the player hit the black-clad dormitory manager without blinking. At first, his movements were broad and his strength considerable, but it wasn’t long before he began to struggle.
Pay attention to the arc of his arm and the subtle expressions on his face; the handbook was heavy.
At least, the handbook in his hand was exceptionally heavy, so heavy that he already needed to grip the student handbook with both hands, his wrists trembling as he could barely lift the book. Yet, the dormitory manager in the black uniform had only walked halfway, still two or three meters from the main entrance of the Dormitory Management Center.
“Liu Yang!”
His companions also noticed the problem and finally couldn’t hold back. The other two also pulled out their respective student handbooks to help Liu Yang attack the black-uniformed dormitory manager.
The black-uniformed dormitory manager vanished the moment he stepped out of the dormitory building, and at the same time, a new check-in staff member appeared inside the dormitory building.
In a blue uniform.
Because both companions went to help chase away the black-uniformed dormitory manager, Chu Yian, the only one left in line, caught a break. She quickly checked in and got the key to 2-401.
“Thank you.”
Chu Yian said to the dormitory manager by reflex, and the other party replied with an impolite “You’re welcome.”
Chu Yian paused, then looked at him as if compelled.
The dormitory manager was still wearing a blue uniform, but his appearance was identical to the black-uniformed dormitory manager that Liu Yang and his two companions had just chased away. Noticing Chu Yian’s gaze, he flashed a smile.
His hollow eyes stared directly at her, as if she had been touched by something sticky. Chu Yian quickly averted her gaze, leaving expressionlessly.
Dormitory Building 2 was directly above the Dormitory Management Center; after exiting the main door of the Dormitory Management Center, turn right, and it was only five steps away.
The building had a total of 18 floors, but no elevator.
It was already ten o’clock at night, and the lights in the stairwell were dim. Besides her, there was no one else. Not even a sound came from the hallway, so quiet it was somewhat eerie.
Chu Yian glanced at the key for the 4th floor in her hand, feeling that her luck was pretty good. Although the stairwell was eerily quiet, it was only the fourth floor, she could run up in a few steps.
She had just comforted herself with this thought when her good luck ran out.
On the second floor, a black cat crouched, the kind of black like coal. If not for its glowing green eyes, Chu Yian wouldn’t have even noticed it.

“Meow.”
“Meow meow meow!”

It squeezed out from a gap in the second-floor door.
This cat had a large head but was extremely thin. Most of its fur had fallen out, resembling skin wrapped around bones, completely unrelated to the word ‘cute’. Especially when it stared at people, it gave an intensely uncomfortable feeling.
Chu Yian suppressed her discomfort and squatted down, pulling out the student handbook tied to her waist.

Chu Yian began tearing off more of the handbook’s cover. The faster she tore, the faster the black cat ate. Soon, the front cover was completely eaten, and she was already tearing at the back of the handbook.
What if the black cat still didn’t leave after eating the entire handbook cover?

Fortunately, the black cat left when only a tiny bit of the cover remained.
Chu Yian truly breathed a sigh of relief. Her legs were a bit numb from squatting for too long, and she leaned on the railing, climbing up step by step. There was only one floor left; please, no more surprises.
She prayed earnestly.
However, some things always go against one’s wishes—she heard the sound of a monkey.

Rule 11: No monkeys are kept in the dormitory. When you see a monkey appear, firmly believe that there are no monkeys in the dormitory. When a monkey appears with a black-clad volunteer, please leave the dormitory building immediately and go to the Dormitory Management Center.
Chu Yian had eaten the memory bread, so she remembered the rules particularly clearly.
