I Become a God in the Mysterious World – CH2

Summarizing Information

Chapter 2: Summarizing Information

While Bai Cha followed the woman with unsteady steps, she looked at her panel again.

A few sparse comments floated past. There weren’t many, and they were all betting on how long she could live. This thing seemed to obstruct her vision quite a bit.

Fortunately, the panel could be turned off.

But before turning it off, she took another look at her homepage.

[Initial skills have been generated.]

[Skills are as follows:

  1. Dodder Vine lv.0 (A weak dodder vine can only survive by relying on a powerful existence to absorb nutrients) Remaining uses in instances: ∞
  2. Flower of Lies lv.0 (Many lies can become truth) Remaining uses in instances: 3]

[Mysterious App wishes you a smooth survival and a happy life!]

Bai Cha slightly raised her eyebrows and looked at the two skills again.

She suddenly smiled silently.

Interesting.

Whatever this game was, the exclusive skills it generated were truly… quite understanding of her.

If all of this wasn’t a dream, and she could actually tell the difference between dreaming and reality.

So, was it because of that statue that she entered the door to an unbelievable new world?

Yu Zhenzhen…

While Bai Cha was pondering, the woman in front had stopped.

This was a guesthouse, a bit run-down.

She had just followed the woman downstairs and was now in the lobby.

The reception desk was empty, but there was a statue on the counter. The moment she saw the statue, that overwhelming, chilling aura instantly enveloped her.

It took Bai Cha some effort to look away, and the stifling pain in her chest eased a lot.

There were sofas and tables in the lobby, and five men and one woman were sitting there.

Including them, there were a total of eight people.

Bai Cha saw the only bald man in the group. He was a tall and sturdy man with a fierce appearance, and the look in his eyes as he looked at her had a disgusting quality.

Her expression didn’t change much. It was clear that this bald man seemed to hold a high position among these people. A man and a woman next to him had fawning expressions as they looked at him, while the man on the far left had a look of suppressed anger.

She couldn’t quite read the remaining two men.

Bai Cha quickly made a decision and cautiously followed the woman beside her.

Before figuring everything out, this female companion beside her was the best choice for now.

With her health, if this was really some kind of horror game, she could very likely die at the beginning.

The short-haired woman beside her glanced at her without saying much.

The bald man spoke.

“Why are you dawdling so much?” His expression was unfriendly, and he twirled a knife in his hand, his gaze constantly sweeping up and down Bai Cha’s body.

“Newbie?” A malicious smile appeared on his fleshy face.

Bai Cha didn’t make a sound, just followed the woman and sat down in the corner of the sofa.

The short-haired woman didn’t respond either, only saying, “Everyone’s here now.”

The bald man glanced at Bai Cha again before finally withdrawing his gaze.

“Then let’s begin. Did anyone do any investigation before coming here? Share your information.”

As he spoke, the bald man pointed at Bai Cha.

“You arrived last, you go first.”

The gazes of the seven people instantly focused on her alone.

Bai Cha felt her fever rising, and her tonsils were already inflamed and swollen. It was too cold here. Being stared at by so many people made her already bloodless face look even paler.

The short-haired woman beside her looked at her, her eyes flickering slightly. She had intended to speak first, but then felt it would be too deliberate. Besides, this person looked like a sickly weakling and a newbie. It wasn’t worth offending others for her sake.

But with just that hesitation, Bai Cha coughed twice and spoke in a hoarse voice.

“I don’t know much, only that the statue on the front desk might be a key clue.”

Her voice was soft and weak, and she spoke slowly, but there was no obvious flaw in what she said.

The bald man withdrew his sticky gaze from her.

“So you’re not really a newbie. But looking like this… hmph, if you dare to drag us down in an A-level instance, you’re dead!”

Bai Cha immediately lowered her head and remained silent, looking timid.

The short-haired woman spoke, “When I received the notification for this A3-level instance, ‘Weird Tales guest-house,’ I did some research. The clearance rate for this instance is very low, only 20%. First, you have to find the rules, and second, you’ll die whether you follow them or not.”

“But…” she paused, not usually one for many words, but continued, “I’m only a B1-level player. I don’t understand why I’m in an A3-level instance. Usually, instance selection for players doesn’t exceed three minor levels of the player’s rank, right? So the minimum should be B9.”

Bai Cha’s eyes flickered slightly as she sketched out a rough outline of this game in her mind.

The glasses man next to the short-haired woman also spoke, saying, “Instances are balanced. That can only mean stronger people have entered. If you’re B1, then the corresponding level can only be A6. I’m B3, so the corresponding level is A5. But…”

He glanced subtly at the bald man and said, “Brother Cai is A8, so the lowest corresponding level is C3. There shouldn’t be anyone stronger than Brother Cai here, right? Who among you is C3-C5?”

Bai Cha’s head was throbbing with pain, but her chronic illness had taught her to continue doing things despite the pain.

She was quickly summarizing the information.

  1. Instance and player levels are based on ABCD, and there might be others. Each level is further divided into nine minor levels.

She calmly opened her panel and glanced at it again, confirming that her panel really didn’t show any of this information.

It was very likely related to her being a newbie.

But there could also be another reason.

Which was point number 2: there was a notification before entering the instance.

She had come in to help Yu Zhenzhen pick up a package. Given Yu Zhenzhen’s behavior, it was impossible that she didn’t know what was in the package, possibly something like finding a substitute in metaphysics.

So she entered this game. If the short-haired woman hadn’t subtly reminded her, she wouldn’t have known the name of this instance at all.

  1. Level issues: an instance is balanced. The lowest level of players in such an instance will not be lower than three minor levels below the instance’s level. But this is on the premise that no one higher than the instance’s level has entered.

And for each minor level a player is above the instance’s level, the lowest limit will drop by three levels.

That is, normally, the players entering an A3 instance are all A3, with the lowest being B9. Within the A3 to B9 range, players are considered balanced and not specifically matched.

But if an A4 enters, the lowest limit will change from B9 to B6. A5 corresponds to B3, B4, B5; A6 corresponds to C9, B1, B2. The short-haired woman is B1, so she falls within the corresponding A6 range.

The question is, what level is she?

She couldn’t find her own level information on her panel at all. And because she was unfamiliar with the game, she had no way to ask.

If the lowest level in this game is D, then she should be D1, and the corresponding level would be S3.

But that didn’t seem right. If there was an S level above, S should also have nine levels.

According to the calculation, S9 should correspond to F1. Or maybe F0, if newbies are level 0.

In short, there should be seven levels in total!

As these thoughts flashed quickly through her mind, the young man in the hoodie spoke.

“I… I’m C3.”
