She sat down across from Chi Jincheng without hesitation. He gently pushed a cup of tea toward her.
“The midday heat in the wilderness is still intense. Have some tea to cool down.”
“Thank you. But Young Master Chi, you might as well speak directly.”
Seeing how straightforward she was, Chi Jincheng put down his teacup, his eyes meeting hers with a smile.
“What I mentioned at the greenhouse earlier.”
“Impossible. If we go down that path, Luo City will truly become a target. It won’t just be Feng City—we will become an eyesore for multiple nations.”
Yu Luo remained resolute in her stance. Despite Chi Jincheng’s help in capturing these two men, she had no intention of agreeing to his proposal.
Her refusal didn’t faze Chi Jincheng in the slightest. He remained composed, as if he had an endless reservoir of patience.
“Doesn’t Xiao Luo want to know who these two are?”
Yu Luo’s brows furrowed slightly.
“They aren’t from Feng City?”
She glanced back at the two restrained men before looking at Chi Jincheng, her expression filled with doubt.
“Xiao Luo is smart. You’ve probably already figured it out. Given that, do you still think Luo City has avoided the attention of the greater powers?”
Yu Luo fell silent.
Seeing how quickly Chi Jincheng had captured these culprits and uncovered their origins, she no longer dared to underestimate him.

Seeing Yu Luo’s cautious approach, Chi Jincheng did not push further.
“Very well. Then I will wait for your good news. My men will send these two to the City Lord’s Mansion later.”
After leaving, Yu Luo went straight to the medical center.

“He told me himself.”
