Chapter 9: I Want to Complain
Impatience gradually appeared on Bai Cha’s face.
This thing wasn’t even moving.
She wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes and simply walked to the door, trying to open it.
It wouldn’t open.
Turning around again, a blood-red woman with disheveled hair was right in front of her, delivering a close-range jumpscare.
Bai Cha shivered, it was quite cold.
A fishy, foul odor also rushed into her nostrils, and Bai Cha’s stomach churned again.
“Ugh…”
The female ghost floated back two steps, its already grim and terrifying face, covered in black, vein-like lines, looking even more hideous.
Bai Cha finally stopped vomiting and leaned against the door, looking at her.
The female ghost let out a sharp shriek.
Bai Cha instantly felt a darkness before her eyes and almost fainted.
Her hand had been trying to open the door behind her all along.
Actually, she wasn’t very afraid. If she really died, it would be a complete relief.
Someone tormented by various chronic diseases for years could accept any way of dying except dying from illness.
But of course, that didn’t mean she would just give up.
The female ghost hadn’t attacked for a long time, probably because the conditions hadn’t been met.
Since this was a rule-based instance, everything had to be done according to the rules.
Both flyers mentioned the bathroom faucet, saying not to panic and to call.
So as long as she wasn’t afraid and didn’t act rashly, she should be safe.
The female ghost could indeed only attack with sound.
Bai Cha’s head ached terribly. With a forceful movement of her hand, the door behind her finally clicked open.
The lights in the bathroom also became bright again at this moment.
The female ghost had vanished without a trace in an instant.
Bai Cha couldn’t help but fall backward.
The guest-house floor was covered with a red carpet, so falling wasn’t very painful.
Xiao Xiao was startled and quickly came over to check on her. Realizing something was wrong, she looked inside the bathroom.
“You…”
“Help me up, I need to call the front desk,” Bai Cha said weakly.
Both sets of rules said to call someone. Not calling might be the real danger. She had only avoided the first step for now.
Xiao Xiao took a deep breath, didn’t ask any more questions, and simply picked her up.
Bai Cha: “…”
She once again clearly recognized the difference between her body and other people’s bodies.
“But… aren’t we going to call the guest-house?”
Even though she said that, Xiao Xiao still opened the door. This was Bai Cha’s choice.
And she didn’t have any other good suggestions.
Bai Cha nodded and simply rested her head on Xiao Xiao’s shoulder.
“Didn’t Brother Cai say we should follow the front desk’s flyer?”
Xiao Xiao: “…”
Xiao Xiao carried her downstairs with a complicated expression, wanting to say something but not knowing what to say.
Wasn’t this being a bit too obedient?
To be honest, while Bai Cha was in the bathroom, she had turned on the comments.
Because there wasn’t any other information at the moment, some players would choose to ask the comments when they were desperate.
Of course, if it really involved important content related to the current instance that the players hadn’t discovered themselves, even if the comments were posted, no one would be able to see them.
But to some extent, if someone with good intentions wanted to remind them about the current situation, they certainly could.
Unfortunately, there was nothing.
She wasn’t one of those popular streamers. In the livestreams of those kinds of streamers, there would indeed be comments providing information.
And now, regarding Bai Cha’s reaction, several mocking comments floated across her screen.
[You listen to Brother Cai so much, if Brother Cai told you to die, wouldn’t you go die?]
[Laughing to death, did any of you go to Brother Cai’s livestream and tell him Bai Cha lied?]
[Yeah, but it was blocked, seems like it’s her skill]
[Tch, if you ask me, the streamer is also too much of a saint. Why does she have to get involved with this sickly person? Isn’t she afraid of dying early? Moving on, moving on]
Xiao Xiao was a bit speechless, but because she was carrying Bai Cha, she couldn’t free up a hand to close the panel for the time being.
They went downstairs and found Wang Xuming sitting on the sofa on the first floor.
Wang Xuming raised his eyebrows when he saw them like this.
“What’s wrong? What happened?”
Bai Cha gently patted Xiao Xiao, signaling her to put her down. She then walked slowly towards the front desk and picked up the phone.
Xiao Xiao hesitated again.
Wang Xuming stood up and walked over, knowing they must have encountered something. So they came to contact the front desk. He was actually quite curious about what would happen the second time they contacted.
Bai Cha dialed the number.
The signal on the other end of the line was bad, with a hissing sound.
Bai Cha’s head ached even more, and her vision blurred intermittently. She would probably fall asleep if she lay down now.
“Hello… hissing… do you need any assistance?”
“The faucet in the 306 bathroom turned red, and it made me throw up for a long time. I want to make a complaint.”
Bai Cha’s voice was weak and intermittent, even more like an ethereal existence than the voice on the other end of the line.
“Hissing… what would you like to complain about? Hissing…” The voice on the other end became much clearer.
“The facilities in your guest-house are incomplete, and there are problems with the faucets. Aren’t these things worth complaining about? I’m already sick, I need antipyretic medicine.”
She forced herself to finish speaking in one breath, raised her eyes uncomfortably, met Xiao Xiao’s shocked face, and gave a weak smile.
