“Explain what?”

Lin Yuejiu smiled and introduced them. “Let me introduce you. He Yue, the executor of the plan—you saw her these past few days with Du Zhuo.”
He Yue waved with a smile. “Your boyfriend and I didn’t do anything, not even touch. The last time you saw his ears red in the library, it could’ve been because I applied blush on him.”
Wu Lin and Mao Xin, the plan creators, also smiled and waved. “These plans were designed together with me and Lin Yuejiu.”
Lin Yuejiu pointed to herself. “I’m the relationship guide; I’m your guide. He’s Du Zhuo’s relationship analyst.”
Chen Qianxi finally understood. “So that’s how it was… I thought…”
“Du Zhuo has always liked you. How could he like another girl?”
Du Zhuo blushed slightly, scratching his head. “Wait, Teacher Xu is my relationship analyst, so that means…”
Lin Yuejiu nodded. “Right. The times you saw Qianxi getting close to other boys were also planned by us—to help you realize your own feelings.”
Mao Xin added, “First we handle the guy, then the girl, and finally the confession.”
Both Du Zhuo and Chen Qianxi suddenly understood the full picture.
Lin Yuejiu shook her head and sighed. “We put in so much effort just to get you two together. It wasn’t easy.”
Chen Qianxi and Du Zhuo looked at each other and smiled. “We’re really grateful to all of you.”
They waved their hands. “Oh, it’s nothing. As long as you two end up together, all our efforts are worth it.”
“Alright, then we’ll leave first and not bother you. Bye!”
They waved and returned to their own rooms. As for what the two of you do next… who knows?
With Chen Qianxi and Du Zhuo together, Lin Yuejiu could finally relax.
The semester ended quickly, and winter break began. Everyone went home, and Lin Yuejiu went with Teacher Xu to the Xu family.
Mr. Xu greeted her even more warmly, as she was now the Xu family’s future daughter-in-law.
During dinner, Mr. Xu prepared a lavish spread, constantly putting food onto Lin Yuejiu’s plate. She smiled and accepted, giving any leftovers to Teacher Xu, who was skilled at finishing her portions. Mr. and Mrs. Xu were already used to this.
Back in the room, Teacher Xu sat on the bed and held her on his lap. “Girlfriend, don’t forget what you promised. Once we’re home, you owe me compensation.”

For Teacher Xu’s September birthday, Lin Yuejiu invited Du Zhuo and Chen Qianxi to celebrate together. Seeing his girlfriend had prepared so much, he wanted to give her a gift but refrained because Du Zhuo and Chen Qianxi were present. Lin Yuejiu noticed and gestured to him, signaling that it could be compensated later. Teacher Xu agreed.
Lin Yuejiu thought he had forgotten, but he remembered. As soon as they finished eating, he pulled her upstairs.
Raising an eyebrow, Teacher Xu said, “Girlfriend, trying to shirk your promise?”
Lin Yuejiu rolled her eyes at him. “I’m a woman of integrity.”
Xu Nianshen believed her completely.
Lin Yuejiu’s hands moved up to his neck, her lips pressing against his, this time taking the initiative.
At first, Xu Nianshen had intended to let her lead, but in the end, he couldn’t resist this teasing taste, switching from passive to active, his hands holding the back of her head as he took the initiative.

One time, Lin Yuejiu had just come out of the practice room and saw Xu Nianshen with Huang Weixue. She was about to greet them when she noticed Huang Weixue had his arm on Xu Nianshen’s shoulder, smiling and saying something. Xu Nianshen looked annoyed and called out, “Uncle!”
Uncle…? Huang was his uncle?
Lin Yuejiu raised her brows slightly and walked up. “Teacher Huang.”
Huang Weixue immediately let go when he heard her voice. Seeing it was her, he smiled. “Jiu Jiu, what’s up?”
“I just saw you putting your arm around Xu Nianshen’s shoulder. You seem quite familiar with him?”
Huang Weixue quickly shook his head. “No, no, no. I was just testing the feel because I have a friend around his height, and I often put my arm around him. I saw his height is similar, so I tried it.”
“Really?”

Huang Weixue looked at Xu Nianshen for help.

The New Year soon arrived. This was the first New Year Lin Yuejiu spent at the Xu family, though the previous one had gone to the UK for senior year.
Xu’s parents gave Lin Yuejiu a large, thick red envelope. Xu Nianshen also gave her a thick red envelope, handing over the ones he received himself.
Lin Yuejiu looked at him in surprise. “Why are you giving me this? These were from your uncle and aunt.”
Xu Nianshen smiled. “Isn’t mine yours? Anyway, I’d give it to you sooner or later. Get used to it first.”
