Doomsday: Scavenging in a Survival Game – CH152

Countermeasures to the Foreseen!

Chapter 152: Countermeasures to the Foreseen!

Pei Xuan’an’s eyes flickered with an inexplicable light.

Ji Fengyan and Princess Muyun exchanged glances, both alarmed. They immediately realized what Pei Xuan’an’s current state signified.

Zhongsun Junzhang looked worried. “It seems like the situation we’re about to face is going to be very different. Xuan’an has never looked this tense before!”

When the vision ended, Pei Xuan’an’s face turned as pale as paper.

He had foreseen three different future fragments, and every single one was extremely dangerous.

He stared straight at Ji Fengyan and spoke in a low, serious tone:
“This is bad. We’re about to face a massive threat — extremely lethal. Someone is targeting me!”

Princess Muyun asked, confused, “What do you mean by that?”

She didn’t fully understand what he meant by “someone targeting” him.

Pei Xuan’an shook his head, indicating that he wasn’t sure either.

He could only vaguely see fragmented glimpses of the future, unable to fully grasp all the details — only that someone was trying to capture him. He didn’t know why.

But one thing he was certain of: the unknown entities in the first vision were coming for him.

Ji Fengyan furrowed his brows and, after thinking for a moment, said,
“Tell us in detail what you saw. We can work together to prepare countermeasures. Since we’ve already received a warning, we should use this chance to prepare ourselves.”

Pei Xuan’an then described the three visions he saw, one by one.

After listening, the other three were stunned.
Especially after hearing about the second and third visions, they were all shocked.

“So not only are external enemies appearing, but the storm mermaid swarm is going to attack again? And most importantly — are you saying this island itself might be a monster?” Zhongsun Junzhang looked incredulous, as if Pei Xuan’an was joking.

However, Princess Muyun was deep in thought.

“What I find curious is the third vision. You said someone will fight against the two powerful enemies from the first vision — someone who can control powerful pets?”

At that moment, a familiar figure surfaced in everyone’s minds: Su Ning.

“‘Su Kexin’ must be an alias. In my vision, the old man attacking me used some kind of power to break her disguise, revealing her real face.”

“Oh? What does she really look like?” Zhongsun Junzhang asked curiously.

Pei Xuan’an recalled Su Ning’s true appearance and glanced at Zhongsun Junzhang.
“She’s stunning.”

“And I don’t think her real name is Su Kexin. You’ve all seen her real name before.”

“We have?” Princess Muyun’s interest was piqued. For her to remember someone’s name during an apocalypse, that person must be extraordinary.

Suddenly, Pei Xuan’an seemed to realize something.
“No wonder the head of the Xi family and Fu Qingge died so mysteriously. It was because of her!”

Upon hearing that, Ji Fengyan and Princess Muyun also pieced some things together.

Princess Muyun, always quick-witted, immediately said,
“She has the surname ‘Su,’ and she had a grudge with the Xi and Fu families from Shelter #2. Don’t tell me… she’s that Su Ning? The one both families had on their most-wanted list?”

Zhongsun Junzhang still looked confused.
“What does this have to do with Su Ning again?”

Princess Muyun gave him a look.
“Ever heard of someone leaking information accidentally? How do you think the Xi family head died? Don’t you think it’s all related?”

Zhongsun Junzhang was stunned, and then it hit him.

A chill ran down his spine as he shivered.
“No way… what a coincidence!”

Ji Fengyan cut in before Zhongsun could continue.
“When is the danger coming? We need to prepare in advance. Since Su Ning is capable of fighting those enemies, then that means we have a chance. We should team up with her.”

“You’re right,” Pei Xuan’an nodded. “Let’s go find her immediately.”

Meanwhile, Su Ning was happily rubbing her pet Youyou, completely unaware that trouble was heading her way.

Lin Lele sighed enviously.
“I really want a monster pet too. Not only can it fight, but it would heal my soul!”

Nan Sheng added,
“Speaking of healing the soul, the director of Shelter #5 is planning to have former celebrities sing and dance to boost morale in this apocalyptic world.”

“Who exactly? Is this info legit?” Gao Peng immediately got excited. He used to be a die-hard fanboy back in college.

(Despite looking like a full-blown middle-aged man, Gao Peng was a legit college student. He just looked older than he was.)

Nan Sheng shook her head.
“It’s just a rumor. I work in the medical unit treating injuries, and I overheard it from a wounded upper-level staff member.”

“After the catastrophe began, some rich celebrities poured all their money into Shelter #5. The director saw that people were depressed and decided to have those stars perform to boost morale.”

“How frivolous,” Huang Zhengang said disapprovingly. “People can’t even eat properly, and they’re out here singing and dancing?”

“It may sound silly, but I’d honestly love to hear my idol’s voice again. It’d be good for the heart,” Gao Peng muttered.

“Shelter life is so suffocating. At least we can enter these dungeons; otherwise, I’d go insane from the pressure.”

Lin Lele teased,
“You’re already a little insane. Go shave that beard — Peng-ge is starting to look like Peng-uncle!”

Gao Peng: …

Su Ning found all of this quite amusing. The atmosphere was cozy and comforting.

Lin Lele and Gao Peng kept bickering, going back and forth. No one else intervened — they just sat nearby, smiling and enjoying the peaceful vibe. It was almost like they hoped this calm could last forever.

Just then, Su Ning picked up two green fruits and handed them to Lin Lele.

“Enough roasting each other — have a fruit.”
Lin Lele took it and bit in. The sweet, juicy taste lifted her mood immediately.

“Kexin, I wish you lived in Shelter #5. Then we could hang out more. Nan-jie’s always busy at the hospital, and I’m stuck with a bunch of dudes. I’m seriously turning into one of them!”

Huang Zhengang and Bao Song exchanged helpless looks — clearly caught in the crossfire.

“You and Gao Peng argue every day. Don’t drag us into it,” Bao Song said with a sigh.

Just as they were all chatting, the once-peaceful Youyou suddenly became alert.

It lifted its head, eyes scanning the surroundings sharply — sensing danger.

The tension in the group rose immediately. No one dared to speak, afraid they’d alert the enemy.

And then, unexpectedly, a group of people appeared — led by none other than Pei Xuan’an.

Expressionless, he greeted them.
“Hi. Sorry to intrude.”

Su Ning looked at Pei Xuan’an in surprise, wondering why he suddenly showed up.

But what puzzled her even more was how, from the moment they arrived, every single person’s gaze was fixed squarely on her.

It left her utterly confused.
“What on earth is going on?”
