Chapter 29: Wow, Wow—We’ve Struck It Rich!
Su Keke’s little mouth kept opening and closing as she rattled off professional knowledge without even pausing for breath.
“…If you divide it by orientation, it’s different again. The mountain on the left side of the site is called Dragon Sand, the one on the right is Tiger Sand—together known as the Azure Dragon and White Tiger.
“Uncle might not know Bo Shan Pian: On Sand, but you must know Master Guo Pu’s Book of Burials, right? The saying ‘the Azure Dragon coils, the White Tiger is subdued’ comes from there.”
Qin Mochen slowly hummed in response.
Assistant Wu kept a deadpan face: Heh. Little cutie, in your heart, is Fourth Master some towering figure who’s supposed to know everything?
And Fourth Master—are you really okay putting on that ‘yes, I’ve read it’ expression? Doesn’t your conscience hurt?
Su Keke continued enthusiastically educating her loyal listener:
“Dragon and Tiger Sand should form a feeling of ‘like a desk, like a screen; like flooding waters, like an embrace; like ten thousand banners clustered together; like a thousand officials in attendance’ around the main mountain. Based on scale and distance, Dragon and Tiger Sand can further be divided into cicada-wing Dragon and Tiger, grand-form Dragon and Tiger…”
The little pink, glossy mouth kept moving—babble babble, babble babble.
Assistant Wu had already lost the strength to complain.
He never should’ve opened his mouth to ask. Listening to this was like hearing celestial scripture.
Fourth Master really had it rough—pretending to be this interested, didn’t his conscience ache at all?
Halfway through, Su Keke suddenly sighed. “Dragon veins are already extremely rare. Now there are high-rises everywhere, and many natural feng shui treasures have had their energy veins destroyed by developers who don’t know what they’re doing, ruining perfectly good feng shui.”
Hearing this, Assistant Wu subconsciously glanced at the man in the rearview mirror.
Fourth Master did everything—and could also be considered… a developer.
Qin Mochen was looking down at his phone. Distracted, he raised his head and his gaze landed on the rearview mirror.
Assistant Wu quickly withdrew his sneaky glance, stared straight ahead, and continued doing his driver duties.
The man spoke calmly, “I don’t know much about feng shui, but I do know that modern feng shui studies involve architecture, environmental science, medicine, astronomy, and more. Master architects all understand architectural feng shui, and many architecture departments have already added architectural feng shui as a course.”
Assistant Wu chimed in at just the right moment: “Whenever Fourth Master wants to develop land or build something, the people he hires are all top-tier architects internationally. There’s definitely no such issue as Miss Su mentioned.”
Su Keke couldn’t help looking at her uncle with starry eyes.
“Uncle, you really are different from other people.”
“And Uncle, you really should consider joining my line of work~” she added right after.
“…Mm, I’ll consider it.”
Qin Mochen tilted the phone in his hand slightly away from Su Keke and quickly closed the… search page.
On the screen, the words feng shui flashed by and disappeared.
The car slowly drove deeper into the residential area.
The farther they went in, the brighter Su Keke’s eyes became.
The moment Qin Mochen said “We’re here,” Su Keke’s eyes whoosh—turned straight into two little stars, dazzling enough to blind someone.
“Uncle!” Su Keke suddenly shouted excitedly.
Qin Mochen raised a brow at her. “Why are you so happy?”
“Oh my god, Uncle! You—you—you live here?” Su Keke stammered in excitement.
Qin Mochen nodded. “We’ll be living here for a while. It’s not far from where you go to scho—”
Before he could finish the word far, Su Keke had already burst out of the car, happily spreading her arms and “flying” around the yard like an airplane—zigzagging in figure-eight patterns.
“Wow wow, this place is actually the very core of the entire site—the heart of the acupoint! We’ve struck it rich, struck it rich! I could even take a random job and still have insane dumb luck, hahaha…”
Qin Mochen couldn’t help rubbing his forehead.
Dumb luck…
Why was it that when this girl said those words, he felt an overwhelming urge to spank her?
By the time Qin Mochen got out of the car, the little girl—who had already “flown” a full lap—came charging straight toward him.
Because of the previous awkward experience, Qin Mochen didn’t reach out to catch her.
And Su Keke didn’t really need him to catch her anyway—except that just as she was about to reach Qin Mochen, her toe accidentally caught on a small stone jutting out of the ground.
And so, Little Chili Pepper lunged toward Qin Mochen in a full-on face-plant posture—
…smacking her head straight into Qin Mochen’s abdomen.
