I Am a Landlady in the Apocalypse – CH362

The Playboy

Chapter 362: The Playboy

The blueprint Xiao Wenyu provided was quite intricate—four floors in total: three above ground and one underground.

Aside from familiar areas like the living room, bedroom, courtyard, garage, and bathroom, there were many rooms she couldn’t figure out the purpose of.

But since the blueprint was drawn this way, she uploaded it directly into the system and activated the building mode.

Soon, the ground trembled, and a modern-style villa rose from the earth.

Even without checking the interior, just the exterior looked remarkably exquisite and unique—especially the transparent, suspended swimming pool between the second and third floors, constructed with transparent tempered glass.

Su Tao, with her limited experience, had never imagined a swimming pool could be built on an upper floor. From afar, it gleamed in the sunlight like a shimmering sapphire.

Rich people really knew how to enjoy life.

When Xiao Wenyu arrived and saw the pool on the second floor, she was also amazed:

“It’s even prettier than I imagined! Manman, let’s swim tomorrow afternoon. We can barbecue in the courtyard, lounge on inflatable chairs, and enjoy food while playing in the water. Boss Su, you should join us too!”

Wen Man, her mouth agape, couldn’t take her eyes off the dazzling pool. She turned to Luo Yan and asked, “Why don’t you build something like this at home?”

Luo Yan’s face stiffened. “My dear wife, first of all, where would I find a construction team capable of building a suspended pool? Even if I found one, it would take ages to get the materials and finish the project. Besides, in Qian’an’s blazing heat, one swim would roast you alive.”

What he didn’t mention was that Qian’an didn’t even have enough water to fill a pool—it was simply too extravagant.

Only in Taoyang, where water and electricity were unlimited, could such a thing be practical. When he moved into his one-bedroom apartment yesterday, he noticed that utilities were practically free, as other tenants had mentioned.

He also couldn’t help but glance at Su Tao with curiosity. Her ability to conjure this villa from the ground gave him a strong sense of kinship.

Wen Man sighed in mild disappointment.

Xiao Wenyu waved her hand grandly. “What’s the big deal? You can come swim anytime. You’ve got a private jet—just fly over and stay for a while!”

Luo Yan glared at her. What kind of person encourages someone else’s wife to leave home?

Ignoring him, Xiao Wenyu beckoned everyone inside.

“Come on, let’s check out the interior!”

Just as she spoke, four or five large trucks pulled up outside the villa, and twenty workers started unloading large, foam-wrapped items.

Xiao Wenyu’s face lit up with excitement. “Quick, bring everything inside and arrange it as I instructed!”

Su Tao and Wen Man both asked, “What is all this stuff?”

Xiao Wenyu, clearly in a great mood, her voice practically singing, replied, “I moved all my stuff from the Xiao family’s old mansion and bought some other goodies—you’ll see! First, let’s check out the garage.”

She led them to a roller shutter beside the main entrance and pressed a switch. The shutter lifted, revealing a spacious garage that could fit two cars.

Wen Man nodded approvingly. “Nice! But I remember you own several cars, a helicopter, and two yachts—this won’t be enough space.”

Xiao Wenyu laughed. “I kept my two favorite cars and gave the rest away. Too many vehicles are just a hassle.”

Meanwhile, Su Tao—who only owned a battered old RV and a second-hand Jeep—was speechless.

Inside the villa, the living room was spacious and minimalist. Deeper in was a kitchen and the dining area, which was bright and airy due to excellent lighting.

A door on the right led to an 80-square-meter courtyard with a glass ceiling that allowed ample sunlight. There were dining chairs and a conspicuous grill that had just been delivered.

Xiao Wenyu patted the grill proudly. “A multifunctional floor-standing grill! It works with both charcoal and a teppanyaki plate. We can grill in the courtyard or take the food upstairs. There’s even a plug for a hotpot—just like the street stalls before the apocalypse!”

Su Tao and Wen Man listened intently, captivated by the possibilities.

Xiao Wenyu gestured mysteriously toward another door in the courtyard. “That leads to the basement. I’m saving it for the grand finale—let’s check out the second floor first!”

The villa even had an elevator, conveniently located between the living room and dining area.

On the second floor, Xiao Wenyu flung open a door excitedly. “This is my room! I worked with Master Mei to design it. I combined the walk-in closet, study, lounge, and bedroom into one big open space—check it out!”

Inside, the room was as spacious as promised. Near the entrance were two low cabinets with a coffee machine, water dispenser, and an assortment of cups. A small round table and a reclining chair sat beside a floor-to-ceiling window.

Xiao Wenyu flopped onto the recliner. “This is my lounge area. I can read or enjoy coffee here. If I get sleepy, my bed’s right behind me!”

She bounced onto the bed and patted a nearby vanity table. “And over there is my walk-in closet. Neat, right?”

Workers bustled in, unpacking and organizing her vast wardrobe.

Su Tao, in awe, thought to herself—having a team to unpack and organize things was the height of luxury.

Wen Man, meanwhile, admired the open-concept study with its warm-toned desk and floor-to-ceiling bookshelves—it was exactly her style.

Xiao Wenyu smirked and pulled back a curtain to reveal a sliding glass door leading to a large terrace.

On the terrace’s left side were sofas, a coffee table, and a sun umbrella. She produced several board game boxes. “Board games! Perfect for hanging out.”

Wen Man eagerly grabbed them. “Wow, you’ve got everything—Three Kingdoms Kill, Werewolf, Monopoly…”

A confused Su Tao blinked. “Kill? Who are we killing?”

Xiao Wenyu laughed. “Come on, join us tonight! We’ll teach you—it’s easy, and you’re smart.”

And so, Su Tao’s evening plans were decided for her.

“If it gets late, you and Manman can stay in the guest rooms,” Xiao Wenyu added.

Luo Yan: “…What about me?”

Wen Man, without looking up: “You can stay at your place in Taoyang—be sensible.”

The villa’s third floor was a fully-equipped gym—treadmills, weight machines, and even a wall-mounted TV. In one corner were massage chairs for relaxing after workouts.

A glass door led directly to the suspended pool.

Su Tao stood at the pool’s edge, marveling at the floating loungers and snack trays.

She had thought Taoyang was extravagant, but Xiao Wenyu’s villa redefined luxury.

But the biggest surprise awaited them in the basement—a private movie theater.

When Su Tao had first seen the blueprint, she thought the giant screen was excessive. Now, she realized her imagination had been too limited.

Wen Man gasped. “Wenyu, you really know how to enjoy life.”

Xiao Wenyu shrugged. “I learned from my dad—he lived like a true playboy before the apocalypse. We siblings inherited his taste for luxury.”

She grinned mischievously. “And there’s one more room—you’ll never guess what’s inside!”
