Chapter 247: Strange Arrival 14
Keyboard Warrior: If we’re talking about killing the anomalous, would a peach wood sword or a cross work?
Old Liu: I really don’t know, has anyone tried it?
Supreme Dao Heart: I’ve learned a bit of orthodox mystic arts. Everyone’s right, it’s better to attack proactively than to just run. I’m going to try it tonight. If it works, I hope everyone can join me in resisting the anomalous during the last two days of the game…
Many brave players were discussing ways to kill the anomalous, and some hotheads even wanted to take action.
Chu Yian looked at the messages in the group and couldn’t help but sigh.
Hearing her sigh, Lu Qingyuan’s gaze shifted from his computer. “What’s wrong?”
“There’s a group of people who don’t believe the anomalous can’t be killed, and they insist on looking for trouble with them.”
Chu Yian continued to scroll on her phone and replied casually, “They won’t listen to good advice.”
“It’s their own choice, and they’ll bear their own consequences. You don’t need to have any negative emotions over a group of irrelevant people.”
Lu Qingyuan said, glancing at the time. “Want to watch the game? The football cup should be live now.”
“Yes, I do.”
Chu Yian sprang up from the sofa. “The comments on the replay are so annoying; they made me know in advance that in Luo Luo’s match, some old fox almost stole the win.”
Lu Qingyuan smiled and closed his laptop, and the two of them moved to the living room.
Teacher Lu still had the style of an old cadre; the only drinks in his house were tea, coffee, alcohol, and milk.
Chu Yian took out her phone and opened a food delivery app. “I’ll order some drinks and barbecue.”
“I can mix drinks. Want to try some?”
Lu Qingyuan looked at her.
“Sure.”
Chu Yian nodded.
She followed him with a bit of curiosity to the bar counter, which was lined with a wall of alcohol.
Lu Qingyuan’s bartending wasn’t like a bartender showing off with a lot of fancy tricks; he just mixed some alcohol together. Soon, a good-looking drink was ready, and Chu Yian tasted it. It didn’t have much of an alcoholic bite, was very fragrant, sweet, and delicious.
This drink was delicious and didn’t taste much like alcohol, so Chu Yian had two more glasses.
The potency of mixed drinks is usually quite high.
Less than half an hour later, her eyes were fixed on the TV as she watched the game, unable to tell if she was too focused on the match or just tipsy.
“Little Chu.”
Lu Qingyuan’s voice came from beside her.
Chu Yian slowly turned her head, her eyes unfocused as she looked.
“Little Chu, do you want another drink?”
Lu Qingyuan held another freshly mixed drink, the projector’s light reflecting off the glass, making his slender fingertips seem like a siren luring sailors to their doom.
Chu Yian dazedly reached out her hand, which was then grasped by Lu Qingyuan’s other hand.
“Good girl, sit next to me and drink.”
He pulled Chu Yian onto the sofa where he was sitting and fed the mixed drink to her mouth.
One cup, then another.
He pulled Chu Yian closer and closer, eventually hooking her legs over his lap, letting her lean against his chest, her head resting against his jaw.
Lu Qingyuan lowered his head, his lips gently touching the top of her head. He couldn’t get enough of this little living person.
Chu Yian was completely blacked out at this point.
She watched the figures running back and forth on the projector screen, unable to distinguish between black and white players, or even hear the commentators on the field. Her head bobbed up and down like a pecking chick.
“Baby, one more cup.”
Chu Yian didn’t hear Lu Qingyuan’s words, but seeing the reappearing glass, she obediently opened her mouth. The wine that she couldn’t swallow flowed out from the corner of her lips, her crimson lips glistening from the liquid’s spread.
The extremely evil anomalous finally couldn’t resist. He leaned down, licking the wine stain from the prey’s lips, grinding against those slightly parted lips. Finally, his tongue pursued the prey, wantonly drawing from her mouth.
On the projector, the two teams in the match had entered a fierce decisive moment.
On the sofa, Lu Qingyuan’s fingertips intertwined with the prey’s, gripping the back of the prey’s hand so tightly that veins bulged. He began to taste his prey with both restraint and abandon…##
Game Day Nine
When Chu Yian woke up, she felt a headache and her body was very sore. Her mouth was dry, and she really wanted water.
Lu Qingyuan wasn’t in the room; the sound of a stove lighting came from the kitchen.
Chu Yian rubbed her head and walked into the adjacent bathroom.
While showering, she suddenly noticed many red rashes on her body, on her front, back, and two on her neck as well.
“Teacher Lu, do you have any loratadine at home?”
She put on her clothes and ran out to ask.
“What’s wrong?”
Lu Qingyuan was coming out with a bowl of cooked porridge, looking at her with concern.
“I think I’m allergic to alcohol; I might have gotten hives.”
Chu Yian pointed to the red rash on her neck to show him. “I have many of these small red rashes on my body too.”
Lu Qingyuan picked up his jacket and car keys. “There’s no allergy medicine at home. Do you want me to take you to the Hospital?”
Going to the Hospital = going outside and interacting with people = increased possibility of encountering the anomalous = increased danger.
“It’s just a few small red rashes, no need to go to the Hospital.”
She only had two days left until she cleared the game; even if it were a terminal illness, she wouldn’t die in two days. Moreover, these small red rashes weren’t raised, nor were they itchy, so they didn’t look too much like hives.
Do hives itch?
Just as Chu Yian was pondering this question, something clanged in the kitchen.
Lu Qingyuan went to handle it, and she quickly followed him in.
There was a small steamer with steamed buns and dumplings on it. Chu Yian went to pick one up, and the metal handle was so hot that she grimaced, hurrying out to place it on the dining table.
She turned around to see Lu Qingyuan coming out with a small steamer in each hand.
Chu Yian was momentarily stunned. Wasn’t Teacher Lu afraid of the heat?
While she was lost in thought, Lu Qingyuan had already placed a bowl of pumpkin millet porridge in front of her. “You drank too much last night; eat something warm to soothe your stomach.”
“Thank you, Teacher Lu.”
She quickly took the porridge.
Being cared for like this every day, Chu Yian felt like she was almost being overwhelmed by hedonism. She knew that in the real world, her life wasn’t nearly as comfortable.
After eating, she sat in the living room, preparing to catch up on the game’s ending that she missed last night.
“It’s such a shame I stayed up watching TV last night but didn’t see the result. Teacher Lu, who won in the end?”
She asked Lu Qingyuan for the result, and as she tilted her head back, she unknowingly revealed her slender neck and the prominent hickey on it.
“Probably… I won.”
“Huh?”
Chu Yian was startled for a moment, then realized he was being coy. “It’s fine if you don’t tell me; keep a little suspense for me.”
She grinned and fast-forwarded the recorded broadcast to where she hadn’t watched, unaware of when Lu Qingyuan went into the study. It wasn’t until her phone kept beeping with messages, which were from Zhu Shen.
“Big Chu, some hothead really went to catch the anomalous last night. Now that anomalous communication group is almost exploding with messages.”
