Chapter 36: Closed Corridor
The front desk stopped at the corner platform between the first and second floors.
The wall where the mural had originally hung now seemed to have blood flowing down it, or something alive wriggling.
Then it slowly opened up a gap.
The front desk turned sideways, indicating that she could go in.
Bai Cha had a premonition that if she went in, whether she could come out was truly unknown.
“Aren’t you coming in?” she asked with a flattering smile.
“No, aren’t you still looking for my key? I’ll be there, it won’t be convenient for you,” the front desk said with a fake smile.
Damn. Fuck.
Bai Cha didn’t want to go either, but she couldn’t skip the task.
If she had to find it herself, it would be really hard for her to find this path in front of her.
Sighing, Bai Cha could only endure the discomfort radiating from her body and walked into the gap.
The wall really felt like a living thing, soft, fishy-smelling, and slippery like a fish, with a layer of mucus.
After squeezing in, the gap almost immediately disappeared, replaced by a solid wall.
And in front of this wall was a corridor.
Several rooms were distributed on both sides of the corridor, and there was a public toilet on her left front.

The door was ajar.

Someone was lying there watching her.

Bai Cha ignored it and walked towards the next room as if she hadn’t seen anything.
It was still a staff restroom.
The length of this corridor was probably similar to the length of the guesthouse.

At the end of the corridor was the front desk’s lounge.

The front desk was not there, and the door was also ajar.
Pushing open the door, the already dim light in the corridor instantly went out.

The room was pitch black, with an indescribable smell.
Like the smell of blood, but mixed with some kind of chemical substance.
Bai Cha gripped the dagger and suddenly turned around to stab backwards.
The sound of the dagger cutting through the air was very clear in the silent room.
No one was there.
Bai Cha’s expression turned slightly cold. She reached out, groping for the light switch that should be there.
There was indeed a switch.
But at the same time, she also touched a cold hand.
Bai Cha calmly pressed the switch.
The piercing white light almost instantly made her squint slightly.
She didn’t dare to close her eyes completely, and at the same moment, she looked in the direction of the hand she had just touched.
No one was there.
The room was also very clean, ridiculously clean.
A pure white room, besides the pure white light overhead and the pure white door behind her, there wasn’t even a window.
The layout was a square rectangle.
Like a coffin.
Even the smell she had just smelled was gone.
This was like a pure white space.
What kind of front desk’s key was she supposed to find here?
Bai Cha walked around the room and also tried scratching the wall with the dagger.
