I Become a God in the Mysterious World – CH33

Two Tasks

Chapter 33: Two Tasks

Ponytail girl lay on the ground, covered in blood.

Bai Cha slowly stood up.

This person wouldn’t just die like this, would they?

Before she could even go over to check, the Ponytail girl struggled to sit up again.

However, at this moment, the Ponytail girl’s hair was disheveled, and her face had terrifying blood streaks, as if someone had clawed at her.

She rested for a while before returning to sit down, and didn’t seem to have any particularly major problems.

Facing Bai Cha’s concerned inquiries, she only shook her head, closed her eyes, and said nothing.

Bai Cha didn’t ask anymore.

The glasses man’s piece moved.

Coincidentally, he also rolled a four.

However, the playing card they drew was different. He got a Diamonds 5.

He had to go to the end of the second-floor corridor to light a candle.

They had no idea what the situation was like on the other side.

All they knew was that when it was Bai Cha’s turn, Bai Cha clearly heard a prompt sound indicating it was her turn.

No wonder the glasses man was able to act immediately after the Ponytail girl returned.

Bai Cha never had high hopes for her luck and casually threw the dice.

The dice spun and stopped at six dots.

Among the numbers they had, and among the first six squares, this was the only one that could directly jump from 6 to 26.

However, this wasn’t necessarily a good thing.

She had to do two tasks.

One determined whether she could jump to 26, and the other determined whether she could stay at 6.

The latter obviously meant that both tasks were failed. If she survived, she would probably just have to start over.

If she didn’t survive, that was a different story.

The look in the Ponytail girl’s eyes was sympathetic. She didn’t think being able to jump to 26 was a good thing at all.

Although you couldn’t be the last loser in this board game, as long as you weren’t in last place, playing it safe was the best strategy.

Bai Cha looked at the spread-out playing cards, expressionless, and reached out to directly draw two adjacent cards.

[Clubs Ace.]

[Find the front desk’s room and take his key.]

[Spades 9.]

[Open the window in your own room.]

Very good.

At least Bai Cha was certain of one thing.

The difficulty of the tasks on the playing cards should be based on 3 being the easiest. It was still unclear whether there were Jacks, Queens, or Kings.

Wang Xuming looked at her standing up with a face full of regret, feeling that his elixir was probably not going to pay off.

“Any last words?” Wang Xuming asked, out of the original intention to win her over.

Bai Cha smiled. “No.”

She didn’t need last words.

What was there to write? Ask someone to inherit her Alipay debt installments?

“Alright, take this.”

Wang Xuming threw a dagger to her.

“Good luck!”

“Thank you.” Bai Cha’s smile was much more sincere.

As a newbie, besides her physical abilities being terrible, not having weapons and items was also her problem.

She went upstairs first.

Although the first floor was the same, going up, everything was dilapidated, showing the marks of time.

The stairs themselves were wooden with a carpet laid on top. Now the carpet was almost completely rotten, and the wooden floorboards creaked under the weight, as if they couldn’t bear it anymore.

When she reached the second floor, Bai Cha vaguely felt that there was someone in the corridor.

Someone had even “seen” her.

She continued towards the third floor without looking sideways, not deliberately speeding up, as if unaware of everything.

She actually suspected that this situation should be related to the candle that the glasses man had lit on the second floor.

The tasks in the board game were unpredictable.

Fortunately, the “people” on the second floor didn’t seem to want to approach.

She reached the third floor.

The door to room 306 was ajar; Bai Cha hadn’t closed it properly before.

After pushing it open, her own body and Xiao Xiao’s body were lying there.

Bai Cha first curiously reached out to touch her own body and found that she couldn’t, as if there was a layer of light film separating them.

She looked thoughtful.

In the end, if she wanted to leave the game, she would have to return to her body first, right?

But the immediate priority was to complete one of the tasks first.

Open the window.

The curtains in the room were still in the state she had closed them in before.

Bai Cha held the curtains tightly with one hand and reached out from the gap with the other to feel for the window.

She didn’t plan to look outside.

However, upon touching it, instead of the cold touch of a window, she felt something sticky, slippery, and soft.

Bai Cha’s hand stiffened slightly.

Sure enough, this task wasn’t that simple.

According to what Wang Xuming said earlier, the thing he saw in the kitchen was Brother Cai’s body.

So what was here at the window?

Bai Cha then remembered that when she walked to the door of room 306, she hadn’t seen Zhong Man’s body, which should have been lying in room 305.

Her hand groped up again. According to her memory of the window’s position, the window latch should be here.

She did feel it, through a layer of flesh.

But to open the window through the flesh, she would have to cut through the person’s skin and flesh.

And she also inevitably thought of another thing: Brother Cai had eaten himself.

Bai Cha sighed.

It seemed that trying to be clever was not going to work.

Bai Cha had no choice but to open the curtains.

With a whoosh, behind the opened curtains was a person spread out.

His bones had been removed, and the person had been split open from the middle and stuck to the window, covering it.

However, it really was Zhong Man.

His crushed head was hanging right above Bai Cha’s head. After the curtains were drawn open, blood tears immediately began to fall from his eye sockets.

“Why didn’t you save me? You clearly saw me.”
