Watching Yu Yingying being driven to madness by her words, Yu Luo smirked.
“Heh, if I were to die now, wouldn’t that just confirm your little scheme and fulfill your wish? Do you think I’m stupid?”
“Enough! Yu Luo, you really are insane!”
Yu Xiaoran, unable to hold back anymore, shouted in fury at Yu Luo’s calm and mocking demeanor. In the next moment, his figure flickered, and he dashed out of the cave.
Seeing Yu Xiaoran’s panicked and desperate rush, Yu Luo didn’t need to guess where he was going—he was heading out to stop Luo Yi and the others from digging up the grave.
Yu Zhengqing’s eyes darkened with fury. Even though they were separated by some distance, Yu Luo could clearly see his chest heaving from the force of his ragged breathing.

“Father! You—you have to go! Go and stop them! They must not dig up Grandmother’s grave! Hurry!”
Seeing that Yu Zhengqing was still standing in place, only spewing threats at Yu Luo, Yu Yingying grew frantic. She no longer had time to curse Yu Luo and instead anxiously urged her father.

Chang Huilan, finally realizing Yu Luo’s intentions, leaped up and spread her arms protectively in front of Yu Yingying.

For the first time, she was seeing Yu Luo up close—really seeing her.
And she realized, to her utter shock, that Yu Luo was stunning.
More beautiful than her own daughters.
No wonder Yingying had always hated her.
“You—you don’t act recklessly! Let me tell you, we’ll be returning to the capital soon! If you dare to touch me or my daughter, your whole family will be trapped here forever! My eldest daughter will never forgive you!”
Yu Luo’s smile widened.
As Chang Huilan spoke, Yu Luo gently patted her shoulder, her expression one of exaggerated sympathy.
“Congratulations, Aunt. But you know what? I really don’t care about returning to the capital. However, I’d advise you not to get too caught up in your little daydreams. A dream is fine… but don’t mistake it for reality.”
Her voice was calm, light, almost dismissive.
But Chang Huilan could not relax.
She wanted to say something—anything—to threaten Yu Luo.
But before she could, her vision blurred.

Before she could recover, Yu Yingying’s screams of agony rang out behind her.

“Anyone who dares to step forward—I’ll stab them.”
Blood dripped from Yu Yingying’s mouth, her two front teeth missing, her nose clearly broken.
At first, she had struggled wildly, but after several brutal slaps, her resistance faded.
She could only cry—pathetically, helplessly.
Tears mixed with blood as she sobbed uncontrollably, her once-arrogant face unrecognizable.
