Chapter 120: No One Escapes
Chi Fengxiao’s temple throbbed. “The production team is inhumane! Luckily we’ve got a helicopter…”
“They’re stealing our helicopter!!” little Shen Jiashu suddenly shouted.
While they were reading the mission card, Gu Hua’s group had slipped inside the helicopter.
“Qian Qian, we’ll be taking this helicopter.” Gu Hua waved at Chi Qian with a polite smile. “You all can walk back nice and slow.”
Xia Zhenzhen mocked without restraint. “What’s the point of getting first place? Still just a bunch of losers.”
Ling Qian smirked. “You think you’re the only one who can fly a helicopter? I can too.”
[!!! Wow, do these people even have shame?! That’s the chopper Qian fixed herself!]
[Can’t beat her so they just steal—classic.]
[Oh please, her name’s not written on it. Why shouldn’t Young Master Ling fly it? If she’s got the guts, let her take it back.]
[Serves her right, being so arrogant earlier. Karma’s instant, huh?]
Ling Qian started to take off.
“BOOM!!!”
The helicopter jolted violently from a crushing impact, the deafening sound shaking the whole frame.
Ling Qian froze, aborting the launch. His head whipped around—the cockpit door was caved in, as if something massive had punched it.
He blinked hard, then lifted his eyes—outside the window was Chi Qian’s blank little face.
And her sandbag-sized fist, slowly retracting from the dent.
Ling Qian reacted fast, trying to fire up the engine again.
Except—
The helicopter wouldn’t move at all!!
His pupils shrank. His arm trembled. What the hell?!
Outside the window, Chi Qian narrowed her eyes and threw another punch.
“BANG!! CRASH—”
The entire cabin door tore off, clattering to the ground with a piercing screech.
Ling Qian and Gu Hua’s faces drained of all color.
The Xia sisters were struck dumb.
She—she—what the hell? A female Hulk? A monster Barbie?!!
Without the door, Chi Qian reached in, grabbed Ling Qian by the back of his collar, and yanked him out like garbage tossed on the ground.
She turned to the three inside. “You coming down on your own, or do I need to invite you?”
Gu Hua and the Xia sisters: !!! You call that inviting?!!
Faced with her overwhelming brute force, they had no choice but to swallow their pride and crawl down trembling.
Chi Qian raised her hand slightly. Xia Zhenzhen went white as a sheet, squatting down with a scream. “Help!! Murder!!”
Chi Qian, who just wanted to wipe her hands: ?
“Weren’t you full of sass a second ago? Where’s all that energy now?” Chi Qian’s face was flat. “Shut it. You’re loud.”
Xia Zhenzhen whimpered, “Y-you’re not even human…”
Chi Qian: “You’re like Mona Lisa’s sister. Jenny Lisa. Don’t understand human language?”
Utterly humiliated, Xia Zhenzhen clamped her mouth shut, not daring to squeak.
She was terrified one punch from Chi Qian would end her instantly.
[Holy crap!! Qian’s punch power is off the charts!!]
[Ling Qian’s crew came only to provide comic relief—I can’t stop laughing hahahaha]
[Bunch of idiots, did they really think they could take Qian’s stuff?]
[Oh wow, Young Master Ling, didn’t even last ten seconds. How pitiful.]
The Gu Hua–Ling Qian shippers nearly spat blood.
Chi Qian told Chi Fengxiao to tie them up and toss them aside.
Ling Qian strained his neck, shouting, “Chi Qian, are you trying to kill us?!”
“You seem pretty good at finding death yourself.” Chi Qian sneered. “Take the phrase ‘survival in desperate straits’—you’ve already got two of those words covered.”
Ling Qian thought for two seconds, then his face turned green when he got it.
Gu Hua tried to speak up. “Qian Qian, it was my idea, if you want to—mmph!!”
Chi Qian shoved a filthy rag straight into her mouth.
Gu Hua: “……”
Once they were tied, Chi Qian turned back to the helicopter.
Chi Fengxiao steadied the frame. “Baby Qian, without a door, isn’t it dangerous to fly again?”
“Nope.” Chi Qian said flatly. “Small problem. I can handle it.”
“You all sit tight.”
“I’ve got business. Someone I need to settle accounts with.”
Everyone blinked. Who else? Ling Qian’s lot was already handled.
They soon found out.
Ten kilometers away, the production crew had rented a guesthouse and were throwing a barbeque party.
They were eating and drinking happily, not even glancing at the monitors.
So when the helicopter descended overhead, they didn’t realize death was already hovering.
“Pfft! Where’d this sandstorm come from? My mouth’s full of grit!”
“Ahhh my barbecue!!”
“Who’s got no manners?! Looking for a beating?”
“D-d-d-director, I think the guests are back!” an assistant stammered, pointing at the group exiting the chopper.
The chief director gnawed on a skewer, unimpressed. “Don’t be stupid. There’s no way they found us this fast.”
This place was only ten kilometers from the Kemiya Desert. The twenty kilometers on the mission card was just to spook the guests.
Still, it should’ve kept them walking for hours.
“Director, it’s Chi Qian’s group!!”
What?!
The director looked up—and froze. Chi Qian was standing right in front of him, smiling sweetly.
“Long time no see, Director.”
“Your barbecue smells pretty good.”
The skewer slipped from his hand with a plop.
Oh God. Of all people, why did she show up first?!
Didn’t Gu Hua’s team steal their helicopter?!
“Q-Baby Qian, let’s… talk this out…” The director forced a grin, cursing in his heart.
“I am here to talk nicely.” Chi Qian’s voice was pleasant. “Gu Hua and the others got kidnapped in the desert. They can’t get out. Someone needs to go help.”
“I think you’re perfect for the job. Come with me.”
The director: !!!
No way!!
He’d rather die than go to that death trap!!
Without another word, the director turned tail and ran.
Call him a coward if you want—better a coward than a corpse!
As the chief director ran, he suddenly felt the ground trembling harder and harder. A pounding rhythm thudded from behind.
When he looked back—
A whole herd of camels was stampeding straight toward him!!
“Mother of God!!”
“Help!!!”
He’d only been using half his strength to run before, but now he went all in—one hundred and twenty percent—legs pumping like mad!
[Didn’t you learn your lesson, Director baby~? Sister Qian came to settle scores and you’re still trying to run~]
[He runs, they chase, and no one’s getting away!]
[HAHAHAHA did anyone else see the director’s wig fall off?! He’s actually balding!]
One camel veered around him, clamped its mouth on his clothes, and with a flick tossed him right onto its back.
It galloped back and dumped him in front of Chi Qian.
Along with his fallen wig.
Chi Qian stood with her hands in her pockets, smiling harmlessly. “Director, since you’re here, why bring a gift too?”
The chief director nearly fainted at the sight of his wig.
His dignity—ruined forever!!
Chi Qian tossed him onto the helicopter. He clung to the seat, shouting, “The safehouse mission card was the planning team’s idea! Don’t blame me, blame them!!”
Planning team: !!!
This backstabbing piece of crap!!
Trying to drag us down with him?!
The planners instantly ratted him out: “We may have thought of the idea, but the one who approved it was the director!”
