Chapter 276: Trap
Xu Youyou’s decision was not made on impulse. She had been observing the situation from this tall building for so long, and after discussing with her bodyguards many times, she had already figured out where the security weaknesses were.

With every step, the sounds around her seemed to grow louder.
“Do you hear anything?” Xu Youyou asked the people next to her.
The bodyguards and Xu Fang all shook their heads. “Boss, we haven’t heard anything. What did you hear?”
“Cries… very tragic… not from an adult, more like from a child…” Xu Youyou said.
The others looked puzzled. They didn’t question Xu Youyou’s words, but instead said, “Boss, we really didn’t hear anything. Maybe our hearing isn’t as good as yours.”
In this eerie situation, Xu Youyou, who had been feeling oppressed, couldn’t help but laugh when she heard their strange remarks. For a moment, she felt the weight on her chest lighten.

“Where did you all go?” Xu Youyou asked loudly.
But there was no familiar response. Instead, she heard a faint and continuous crying sound of a child.

She remembered many things.
She grew up in an orphanage, where conditions were poor. Even though Xu Mama did everything she could, she couldn’t take care of every child.
So many children had been abandoned over the years, and not all of them were healthy. Some had disabilities or chronic illnesses, and some were abandoned just because they were girls.

The parents of those children had given up on them, but Xu Mama never gave up.
But treating these diseases that caused parents to abandon their children wasn’t easy.

Xu Youyou remembered her last time seeing Xu Mama. At that time, Xu Mama was lying in a hospital bed, so thin that only skin and bones remained, with all the children surrounding her.
