Chapter 226: Taotie: Come On, Coward!
“What are you doing?”
“Blacklist was founded in this country. This is our turf. When did it become your place to question us?” Taotie said coldly.
Kui Mulang’s expression darkened, his eyes turning sinister. His grip on the dagger tightened.
“What? Not convinced?”
“I actually considered you a person, but turns out you’re just a worthless scumbag! A damn lackey from Dahan! Shouldn’t you be licking your American daddy’s ass instead of running over here to die?”
Taotie shot Kui Mulang a sidelong glance, his eyes filled with disdain. His entire face practically spelled out “I look down on you.”
“Bastard!” Kui Mulang was about to explode with rage.
He glared at Taotie viciously, but he hesitated to attack, intimidated by Taotie’s menacing aura and infamous reputation.
“What are you staring at, you mutt?”
“Ragnarok?”
“Codename Kui Mulang?”
“You goddamn thieves—does Kui Mulang even belong to Dahan mythology?”
Ignoring Kui Mulang’s fury, Taotie continued his taunts.
“Oh right, I heard the water in your rivers is filled with the same ingredients as those little blue pills. Is that true? You guys that useless?”
“If you really can’t manage, maybe train in the Sunflower Manual!”
Saying that, Taotie even exaggeratedly made a one-inch gesture with his fingers.
“Ah, ssi ba!!!”
“I’LL KILL YOU!”
Kui Mulang finally lost it.
With a furious roar, he lunged at Taotie like a starving wolf, his dagger gleaming like the fangs of a venomous snake, aiming straight for Taotie’s throat.
“Heh—”
Taotie chuckled coldly and swung his machete fiercely.
A long weapon has reach.
A short weapon is risky.
Taotie was tall and strong, a beast of a man. His machete was custom-made. Combined with his long reach, every swing covered a three-meter radius—an absolute dead zone. Kui Mulang’s little dagger, barely a foot long, couldn’t even get close.
Before he could approach, Taotie forced him back with a single slash.
Kui Mulang was shocked and quickly retreated, putting distance between them.
His eyes gleamed with caution, filled with venomous hatred.
“Hah—”
“As expected—short and weak!”
Taotie sneered, his words carrying a double meaning.
It was a blatant mockery.
Everyone knows—you don’t hit a man in the face, and you don’t expose his weaknesses.
But Taotie?
He had no morals.
He loved punching faces and digging into people’s wounds.
He lived for that kind of fun.
“Bastard!”
“You deserve to die!”
Kui Mulang was shaking with rage, his eyes bloodshot as he cursed.
But he didn’t dare charge.
The same confidence he had while hunting had now completely vanished.
Typical Dahan behavior.
“Ohhh—”
“Come on then! Kill me!”
“You spineless coward. Even the eunuchs of the Ming Dynasty had more guts than you. No wonder you need those little blue pills.”
“Pah!”
“You’re not even worthy of being a damn eunuch!”
Taotie spat on the ground.
“And you dare call yourself a mercenary? Trying to survive in the underworld? You have zero backbone!”
“Look at me—I live in this world, but I know: ‘An inch of land, an inch of blood.’ If outsiders come onto my turf, I’ll kill them at any cost. But you? Your own people were slaughtered, and you cowards didn’t even let out a peep!”
The more Taotie spoke, the angrier he got.
His eyes locked onto Kui Mulang with pure contempt.
Like a father disappointed in a disgraceful son.
“Ah, ssi ba!!!”
“I’LL KILL YOU!!!”
Kui Mulang finally snapped.
With a roar, he charged recklessly at Taotie.
Seeing him lose control, Taotie only shook his head in disdain and swung his machete once more.
Taotie was a man of fire and steel.
He despised men like Kui Mulang—weak, spineless, yet still pretending to be powerful.
If his own people were harmed, Taotie wouldn’t hesitate to take up arms.
If an outsider dared to step on his land, he’d be the first to spill blood.
Even if it cost him his life.
“Clang!”
Their weapons clashed violently, sparks flying.
Taotie’s sheer force drove Kui Mulang to his knees, making him look utterly pathetic.
Yet, he had still managed to block the strike.
Which meant—Kui Mulang wasn’t entirely useless.
At least, he was on the same level as Wan Xiaozhou.
But that was only because he was a man.
With equal physical conditions, Kui Mulang wouldn’t even be a match for Wan Xiaozhou.
Let alone the madwoman Capricorn.
Or the dual-blade-wielding Helan Xiaoyue.
Those two women would wipe the floor with him.
“Damn it…”
Kui Mulang gritted his teeth, barely squeezing out those words.
With all his strength, he deflected Taotie’s machete and rolled aside, slashing at Taotie’s leg with his dagger.
Taotie didn’t even bother dodging.
He just rolled his eyes and stabbed downward with his machete.
This was a game of mutual destruction.
A battle of life and death.
“Come on—prove you have guts!”
“If you have blood in your veins, don’t dodge!”
“Trade your wound for mine!”
Taotie was calling his bluff.
If Kui Mulang had the courage, he could cut through Taotie’s boot and sever his tendon. Taotie’s leg would be crippled.
But Kui Mulang…
Would be skewered like a pig and pinned to the ground.
In this forest, with no medical help, he’d be dead.
At best, Taotie would live with a disability.
At worst, he’d bleed out and die too.
But Taotie knew Kui Mulang was a coward.
And he was right.
Kui Mulang immediately abandoned his attack and rolled away, narrowly avoiding Taotie’s blade.
His clothes were sliced open, but his body remained intact.
“Heh—”
“What’s wrong? Chickened out?”
Taotie withdrew his machete, resting it lazily on his shoulder.
Amusement danced in his eyes.
“Gave you a chance, but you didn’t take it, huh?”
He chuckled.
Kui Mulang glared at him, seething with resentment.
But he had no words to refute.
Because he had backed down.
Taotie’s mockery was 100% accurate.
“Huh?”
“You guys steal everything, but you didn’t learn how to argue back?”
“Want me to teach you how?”
Taotie grinned, completely at ease.
