Chapter 153: Tom – Can’t Drink Anymore
Tom rushed back to the hotel as fast as he could.
After scanning his surroundings, he turned and entered a café across the street.
He called a waiter over, ordered an Americano, and chose a seat by the window. Taking occasional sips, his eyes constantly scanned both the café’s customers and the pedestrians outside.
Although Tom had speculated that the safest hiding place for Han Xue would be the underground parking lot, he dared not rush in. That would make him an easy target or even an ambush victim.
Tom was well aware that Han Xue carried a weapon. He wasn’t sure what exactly it was, but given her confidence in being able to subdue someone as tall and strong as him, it had to be something powerful.
Thinking about the intense gunfire inside the hotel, Tom deduced that Han Xue was likely armed with a handgun.
No matter how skilled he was, dodging bullets was impossible. If Han Xue were to ambush him from behind, he would have nowhere to cry even if he wanted to.
Moreover, even though the underground parking lot was a safe hiding spot, it was under surveillance. Tom had the technology to erase any traces of his presence, but Han Xue didn’t.
So, he reasoned that Han Xue might not have gone there at all.
Instead, she was probably hiding in one of the nearby stores, keeping an eye on the hotel’s movements.
As long as the police left, she would have another chance to sneak into the hotel and attack Fang Xiaocao.
With that in mind, Tom remained in the café.
He sipped his coffee while fiddling with his phone, pretending to be absorbed in it, yet his peripheral vision meticulously scanned every detail around him.
After some time, he hadn’t spotted anyone suspicious.
So he ordered a sandwich and another iced Americano.
Taking a bite of the sandwich and a sip of his coffee, Tom nodded in satisfaction.
“Not bad,” he muttered to himself.
Meanwhile, inside the hotel, a woman in casual clothes but dressed seductively walked along the fourth-floor corridor. Her large, enchanting eyes darted around cautiously.
She soon stopped in front of Room 411.
After a brief hesitation, she knocked on the door.
“Who is it?”
A rough and impatient male voice sounded from inside.
“Hello, big brother~ Do you need some special service?” The woman giggled flirtatiously, making her intentions clear.
“Service?”
“What kind of service?”
“Anything you want, brother~ Satisfaction guaranteed~”
The voice of the woman was soft and teasing.
The door creaked open.
A burly man with messy, bird’s-nest-like hair stepped out, his eyes scanning the woman up and down.
“Really?” he asked suspiciously.
“Of course,” she said, smiling sweetly. “As long as you pay, I’ll do anything.”
The man looked around to make sure no one else was in the corridor.
His eyes gleamed like a starving wolf spotting fresh meat.
“Come in.”
The woman walked in, giggling.
As soon as the door locked, the man’s breathing grew heavy. “How much?”
“It depends on what service you want,” she teased.
“What if I want everything?”
“5,000 for the whole night. Anything goes.”
“Deal!”
Without hesitation, the man pounced on her, his hands roaming all over.
“Ahahaha~” The woman laughed and dodged playfully. “Brother, you need to pay first.”
The man hurried to the nightstand, grabbed his long wallet, and pulled out a thick stack of cash.
“10,000. Two nights!”
“Ahahaha~ Deal~”
The woman stuffed the cash into her purse, then smiled seductively.
“Brother, now we can start~”
“Take off your mask,” the man demanded, licking his lips.
“Of course~”
She slowly removed her mask, revealing a delicate, alluring face.
If Fang Xiaocao were here, she would have instantly recognized her—
The woman was none other than Han Xue!
She curled a finger at the man, and like a predator drawn to its prey, he lunged at her.
As laughter and excitement filled the air, the man carried Han Xue to the bed.
Half an hour later, the man lay beside her, snoring like thunder, completely exhausted.
Han Xue leaned against the headboard, smoking a cigarette.
She glanced at the man beside her, and a chilling gleam flashed through her eyes.
“If I didn’t have other plans for you, I would have strangled you to death already,” she muttered.
Pulling back the blanket, she stepped barefoot onto the cold floor and walked toward the bathroom.
Half an hour later, freshly showered, she returned to the bed.
“Heh…”
“Who would have thought I’d still be inside the hotel?” she murmured smugly.
Lying down, Han Xue smirked coldly as she watched the sleeping man.
“I wonder what kind of expression you’ll make when you find out you’ve been infected with something nasty…”
Meanwhile, outside the hotel—
Inside the café, Tom downed another latte and patted his stomach, smiling wryly.
He really couldn’t drink anymore.
The café staff had started casting strange glances at him.
Tom waved at a waiter.
The waiter approached, smiling. “Hello, sir. Would you like to order anything else?”
