Nan Xun directly drew a round little ball on her paper, then poked at it again and again with the tip of her pen, stabbing countless holes into it.

The Void Beast answered at once, “Your Li Chen daddy isn’t human—he’s a pervert. Didn’t we mentally prepare for this before entering every world?”
“We agreed to redeem the big boss with family affection, you liar!” Nan Xun snapped.
The Void Beast stammered, feeling extremely guilty. “I—I didn’t do it on purpose. I swear on my beastly dignity, I really didn’t know about this.”
“Alright, alright, why think so much? Your Li Chen daddy treats you so well. What’s the big deal if you lose some integrity? Your Li Chen daddy has a handsome face and long legs—better-looking than a runway model. Hmph, you should be secretly happy!” The Void Beast huffed twice after trying to reassure her.

After school, Nan Xun was carrying her backpack and getting ready to head home when a boy from the class next door suddenly said to her, “Li Xiaonan, I have something very important to tell you. Meet me in the little grove behind the sports field later.”
Nan Xun hesitated for a moment about whether to go. If she got home late, Li Chen daddy might be unhappy. But then she thought—he’d already made her unhappy, so why should she worry about pleasing him all the time?
She thought the boy had something serious to say, but when she arrived, he actually confessed to her.
Ever since Nan Xun came to this world and became Li Chen’s daughter, her life had consisted of only three things: eating, sleeping, and Li Chen.
Even at school, she was half-hearted—three days fishing, two days drying nets. She didn’t even know all her classmates, let alone students from the class next door. Still, she had some impression of this boy. His name seemed to be Ji Shaoqing. He was good-looking. Whenever Nan Xun wandered by the basketball court, she’d often see him, always surrounded by a bunch of fangirls, so she’d glanced at him a couple of times.
But with a dad at home who was more handsome than any celebrity, this boy—handsome as he was—was nothing compared to Li Chen.
Nan Xun rejected him tactfully. “You’re pretty great, but I think studying is more important right now. And I’m still young, so…”
Ji Shaoqing immediately smiled. “Xiaonan, I knew you were different from other girls. You’re right—studying should come first. Your grades are always good, and mine aren’t bad either. So next year, let’s get into the same university, okay?”
Nan Xun thought for a moment and continued rejecting him. “But even in college, I don’t plan to date. There’s so much more to learn at university—I don’t want to waste my time.”
Ji Shaoqing scratched his head. “I can wait for you, Li Xiaonan. I really like you. Lots of girls have confessed to me since I was little, but today is the first time I’ve ever confessed to a girl.”
Without waiting for her reply, he quickly hugged her once, then ran off cheerfully. From far away, he waved at her. “Li Xiaonan, don’t forget our promise!”
Nan Xun was speechless. This kid hadn’t even given her the chance to refuse properly. Still, boys this age were full of hot blood—he’d probably forget about it after a while.
She rode her electric scooter home with her backpack. Just as she reached the gate, Little Eight suddenly shouted, “Your Li Chen daddy’s darkening value just jumped up by ten points!”
Nan Xun’s heart skipped a beat. She had long known Li Chen had people secretly “protecting” her, so there was no way he didn’t already know about the confession in the grove.

Nan Xun’s expression changed. She bent over slightly, tiptoed inside, then crept toward the second floor just as quietly.
“Baby, Daddy’s here.”
A low, cold male voice suddenly rang out in the living room.
Nan Xun pretended to notice him only then. “Ah! Dad, I thought you were upstairs.”
She ran toward the man on the sofa, jumped straight into his arms, and wrapped her arms around his neck affectionately. “Daddy, I missed you so much today. I didn’t even listen properly in class.”
Li Chen spread her legs apart and pulled her closer onto his lap. His expression was still dark. “Oh? Baby missed me? If you missed me that much, why did you come home so late today?”
Nan Xun’s heart trembled. Damn it—so it really was because of that.
She thought for a moment and decided to confess honestly. Pouting, she said, “Daddy, this is all because of a boy from the class next door. After school, he insisted he had something important to tell me. I thought it really was important, so I went. I didn’t expect he was confessing to me.”
Li Chen’s hand around her waist tightened abruptly. He asked calmly, “I see. Then what do you think of that boy? Puppy love isn’t a big deal. If you like him, Daddy won’t object.”
Nan Xun sneered internally. Yeah right—keep acting. If Little Eight hadn’t told me your real intentions, I might actually believe you’re a considerate, good father!
She shook Li Chen’s neck and said reproachfully, “Daddy, how can you say something like that? I don’t like those little boys at all. I like Daddy the most. I want to stay with Daddy forever.”
Li Chen’s eyes darkened slightly as he stared at her without blinking. “Baby, is what you’re saying true?”
“Of course it’s true. Daddy will always be number one in my heart—no one can compare. Even Grandpa has to come after you,” Nan Xun said, hugging his neck and rubbing her cheek against his affectionately.
She continued feeding him sweet words. “Daddy, I’ve even decided which university I want to apply to—B University here in the city. It’s closest to home, so I can come back every day to see you.”
Li Chen’s large hand gently rubbed her waist, his gaze deep and unreadable, as if lost in thought.
“Daddy? Daddy? What are you thinking about? I’m talking to you,” Nan Xun said, bouncing slightly in his arms.
Li Chen suddenly let out a low grunt and slapped her on the butt. “Daddy’s listening. Sit still and stop moving around.”
