Chapter 62: Fu Yu, I’ll Stay with You Forever
Master Wuchen’s gaze darkened. “Since that’s the case, don’t blame this old monk for being ruthless!”
Catching Fu Yu off guard, Master Wuchen instantly threw out five or six talismans.
The talismans ignited at once, fierce red flames surging toward Fu Yu.
Seeing the two of them locked in combat, Su Han hurriedly circled around them to save Bai Mo.
Bai Mo lay on the bed with a deathly pale face, clearly having lost too much blood. Su Han tore two strips of cloth from the bed and wrapped them tightly around Bai Mo’s wrists, barely managing to stop the bleeding.
But it still wasn’t enough. Bai Mo had to be sent to the hospital immediately—otherwise, she would die.
Su Han looked back anxiously. With that glance, her eyes widened in sheer terror.
The talismans had clearly set Fu Yu’s body on fire. She had even seen his form begin to turn charred black, yet in the very next moment, a strange black mist suddenly erupted from his body.
A sizzling sound filled the air as the black mist swallowed the flames of the talismans completely. Not only that—it restored the fierce ghost’s scorched body to its original state.
“Old bald donkey, you’ve angered me,” the fierce ghost said darkly, his eyes tinged with red as he strode toward Master Wuchen.
Master Wuchen hurriedly flung the prayer beads in his hand at him, one by one.
Yet the beads, which carried immense spiritual power, were all corroded by the black mist the moment they touched the fierce ghost, proving utterly useless.
Master Wuchen’s aged eyes widened further and further as an unprecedented sense of oppression closed in around him.
Fu Yu struck Master Wuchen with a single palm, slamming him to the ground. Just as he was about to smash his skull with another blow, his body suddenly stiffened.
Su Han had slapped the protective charm onto his back.
Fu Yu paused for only a moment before slowly turning his head.
Su Han stared at him in shock.
Fu Yu sneered. “Even the old bald donkey’s prayer beads can’t do anything to me, and you think you can deal with me with a mere protective charm? What a foolish fantasy.”
As he spoke, he reached out and seized Su Han by the throat, lifting her high before brutally slamming her into the ground.
With a dull bang, Su Han’s body crashed down. A large pool of blood slowly spread beneath the back of her head, her pupils gradually losing focus. At that moment, she had no strength left to resist.
Fu Yu raised his hand, preparing to deliver the final blow and end her life.
But just then, someone suddenly hugged him around the waist from behind.
“Fu Yu, stop hurting innocent people! I’ll stay with you, okay? I’ll stay with you—my whole life, I won’t leave you. Please don’t hurt anyone else, I’m begging you…” the girl pleaded through tears.
Fu Yu’s body trembled.
Momo… had she woken up? When had she woken up?
Had she seen and heard everything?
After witnessing his cruel, bloodthirsty side, she was still saying such things?
Or was she… just lying to him?
Master Wuchen was only unconscious, but Su Han had already been lying in a pool of blood for quite some time. Without immediate treatment, she would likely die from excessive blood loss. Nan Xun was frantic.
At that moment, she really wanted to curse out loud.
Damn it—she really had come prepared to sacrifice herself, but only her dignity, not her life! She hadn’t expected that she’d faint before she could even say a single word to Fu Yu, collapsing under that man’s eerie smile.
If Su Han hadn’t stopped the bleeding in time, and if Little Eight hadn’t given her a Heart-Protecting Pill to wake her up, her life would truly have ended here.
Fu Yu, you damned pervert!
Nan Xun hugged the man in front of her tightly. Even though his body was icy cold, she didn’t dare loosen her grip.
“Fu Yu, I’ll stay with you. I won’t leave you ever again,” Nan Xun kept repeating, trying to persuade him.
Fu Yu slowly raised his hand, his cold palm covering the hands around his waist. Disbelief filled his voice. “Momo, is what you’re saying true? Will you really stay with me? Stay with me forever and ever?”
Nan Xun nodded vigorously. “Mm!”
Fu Yu was overjoyed. He had always thought Momo was afraid of him, that she hated him, which was why he had wanted to kill her and turn her into a puppet so she could stay by his side forever. Yet now, his Momo was actually saying… that she would willingly stay with him for all eternity.
The overwhelming joy did not, however, cause Fu Yu to lose his rationality.
He looked down at the woman lying in the pool of blood, the corners of his lips lifting slightly as he said gently, “Momo, wait a moment. Let me kill this woman and the old bald donkey first. I promise you—these will be the last two.”
Nan Xun had the overwhelming urge to stab this fierce ghost boss through the heart.
Sensing her emotional turbulence, the Void Beast hurried to comfort her. “Hold it in, sweetheart! Just that one sentence you said earlier—his malice points dropped by twenty in an instant! There are only twenty-five left now. Success is just around the corner!”
Hearing Little Eight’s words, Nan Xun still wanted to poke a voodoo doll, but she was indeed somewhat comforted.
“Fu Yu, I have only one request. Don’t kill Su Han or Master Wuchen. Please let them go. Don’t you want to be with me anymore?” Nan Xun pleaded.
With his back to her, Fu Yu’s eyes narrowed slightly. Then he slowly smiled, his voice gentle. “Alright. I’ll listen to Momo.”
Hearing this, Nan Xun quickly helped Su Han up and said to the fierce ghost boss before her, “Take the unconscious Master Wuchen and… throw him out of the estate. I’ll take Su Han to the hospital. I’ll be back very soon.”
Fu Yu silently stared at her without speaking, making Nan Xun’s heart pound nervously.
“Fu Yu, I promise you—I’ll come back,” Nan Xun hurriedly reassured the boss.
After a long while, a hint of a smile finally surfaced in Fu Yu’s eyes. “Alright. I’ll wait for you.”
Nan Xun personally escorted Su Han to the hospital. She watched as Su Han was taken into the emergency room. Only after waiting several hours, when the surgery was over and the doctor confirmed that Su Han was out of danger, did she finally leave in relief.
Nan Xun quietly asked Little Eight, “Is the fierce ghost boss still following me?”
Little Eight replied, “Isn’t that obvious? With that ghost’s twisted need for control and possessiveness, there’s no way he’d let you out of his sight.”
“And Master Wuchen?”
“Oh, that bald donkey? The fierce ghost boss dragged him all the way out of the estate and then tossed him into a nearby graveyard.”
Nan Xun: “…”
Well, as long as he wasn’t dead.
“Little Eight, thank goodness I have a cheat like you. Otherwise, I’d really want to turn tail and run right now,” Nan Xun said with some relief.
Little Eight grinned. “No need to thank me—just erase all the malice points.”
Nan Xun didn’t go back right away. She wandered around the streets outside for a long while, thinking that once she returned to that gloomy Fu family estate, she probably wouldn’t get to see the sun again for a long time.
Early in the morning, there were barely any people on the streets. Nan Xun wasn’t afraid of running into thieves or robbers anyway—after all, she had the fierce ghost boss as a ready-made bodyguard.
By the time the supermarket was about to open, Nan Xun went in and bought a large amount of food, as well as plenty of fruits and vegetables. With big bags and small bags in hand, she was nearly exhausted from carrying them all.
The Void Beast asked in confusion, “What are you doing? Why not just buy everything in the whole supermarket while you’re at it?”
Nan Xun replied, “I’d like to, but I don’t have the money—and I can’t carry it all. Don’t forget, I’m about to live with an obsessive, perverted ghost. Lord Ghost doesn’t need to eat, but I do, or I’ll starve to death.”
The Void Beast: “…”
