Me? I’m Here to Seduce the Demon King

Chapter 12: Me? I’m Here to Seduce the Demon King

Before she even opened her eyes, Nan Xun heard soft whispers of admiration around her—things like “So beautiful,” “I never thought the human race could have such a stunning shell,” and “I heard she’s the only daughter of the Zui Li clan leader. The humans really spared no expense to use a beauty trap.”

Nan Xun wanted to keep listening to the praise, but suddenly someone beside her spoke up, “She’s awake, she’s awake! This woman’s awake!”

As soon as Nan Xun opened her eyes, she met four pairs of dark, glossy eyes. From a distance, they belonged to four rather pretty maidservants.

The four of them gave a perfunctory bow. “Greetings, miss.”

Their attitude was lazy and indifferent, clearly not taking this human bride seriously.

But who was Nan Xun? Male or female, young or old—within an hour, she could be chummy with anyone.

And so, an hour later, the palace was filled with laughter and chatter, lively and bustling.

“You humans are really interesting—completely different from the ones I’ve met before,” the maid called Hong Chou said with a coquettish laugh, covering her mouth.

Nan Xun blinked at her. “Don’t all humans look like me—two eyes, one nose, one mouth?”

“Pfft.” Lu Sui couldn’t help bursting out laughing. “What Hong Chou means is that most humans she’s met are sly and treacherous, while you’re so simple and naïve.”

“By the way, how did you end up coming to our Demon Domain?” Lan Shui asked.

Nan Xun picked up a bright red fruit from the fruit platter beside her. Without caring what it was, she took a big bite, then swung her legs and smiled sweetly at Lan Shui. “Oh, Sister Lan Shui, didn’t you already guess? I’m here to use a beauty trap. If the Demon King ends up liking me, I can whisper sweet nothings in his ear and persuade him not to attack the human race. Then humans and demon beasts can live together in peace.”

“Cough! Cough cough cough…” Several of them choked on their water.

Lan Shui immediately flicked Nan Xun on the forehead. “You really say whatever comes to mind. Remember this—never let anyone else hear something like that, or you’ll lose your life.”

The other three nodded quickly and earnestly warned her as well.

Nan Xun laughed cheerfully. “I shall obediently follow the teachings of you beautiful sisters.”

Hong Chou giggled. “Oh, that sweet little mouth of yours—it’s like it’s been dipped in honey. But forget it, compared to you, the rest of us hardly count as beauties.”

The group joked around, chatted idly, and gossiped day after day. In the blink of an eye, a month passed.

Resting her chin in her hands, Nan Xun stared longingly out through the palace doors.

“Lu Sui, since the Demon King brought me here, why hasn’t he come to see me? If he doesn’t see me, how am I supposed to seduce him?” Nan Xun asked, blinking her pitch-black, watery eyes.

Crack.

In the pitch-dark main hall, the Demon King reclined crookedly on the Black crystal throne, an exquisite wine cup in his hand. For some reason, he froze for a moment, then unconsciously tightened his grip, snapping off a corner of the fine cup.

Fragrant wine flowed down his long fingers, filling the hall with its rich aroma.

After a brief pause, he continued drinking expressionlessly.

Standing more than ten meters away in the hall, a demon beast couldn’t hear any response and repeated, “My King, a month has already passed. How do you intend to deal with that human woman? Shall we drain her blood and hang her on the walls of a human city?”

The Demon King had married a human woman yet left her unattended for an entire month. All the demon beasts believed he was deliberately humiliating the human race in a roundabout way. They simply preferred a more direct and bloody form of humiliation, and having lost patience, they pushed a minor demon forward to ask.

The Demon King cast a cold glance at him and said icily, “Since when is it your place to meddle in my affairs?”

With a thud, the demon beast dropped to his knees. “This subordinate knows his mistake!”

The Demon King’s blood-red eyes narrowed slightly. His large hand idly rotated the cup, and as if recalling something, the corner of his lips suddenly curved into a slanted smile.

“Seduce me, hm… Heh. Then I shall see just how you plan to seduce me.”

Nan Xun encounters an unbelievably powerful mythical beast—so overpowered it’s practically a walking cheat. This divine creature can take her through countless different worlds, and in exchange, Nan Xun must help it collect merit points. Once she accumulates enough merit and completes the mission, she’ll be able to return to the past and rewrite her fate, changing the tragic ending in which she died alone in a foreign place. At first, everything sounds perfect. But very quickly, Nan Xun comes to regret this deal so deeply that her intestines practically turn green with remorse. Why? Because those precious merit points can only be obtained from villains—and not just any villains, but ultimate, endgame-level bosses whose darkening value is 100 and whose malice value is also 100. In other words, these are villains who are completely blackened to the core, overflowing with evil thoughts. Nan Xun’s original plan was simple and pure-hearted: she would cleanse their souls, purify their corrupted hearts, and gently guide them back onto the path of righteousness. But reality hits her hard. What she absolutely did not sign up for was this: Why do all these villains keep falling in love with her?! One villain is a cannibal. Another is a vicious, malevolent ghost. A third is… well, words fail her. Each one is more unhinged and terrifying than the last. And just when Nan Xun thinks things can’t possibly get any worse, she discovers the horrifying truth: all of these villains are actually the same person, appearing in different worlds and identities. At that moment, Nan Xun’s eyes roll back, and she collapses flat onto the ground, playing dead on the spot. Meanwhile, the boss—evil, charming, wildly arrogant, and overwhelmingly domineering—curves his lips into a wicked smile and says lazily, “Baby, didn’t you say you wanted to purify my heart? Come on, then~” Nan Xun, internally screaming, “Self-inflicted sins truly cannot be lived through. I really, really want to die. What am I supposed to do now?!”
