Chapter 339: Granny Yu Starts Doubting Reality
At the same time, Granny Yu stood at Taoyang’s entrance, looking left, looking right, and finally asked Ma Dapao:
“Manager Ma… are we here?”

Qian Lin brought Granny Yu and her grandson over to introduce them to Zhuang Wan.

Zhuang Wan was speechless. So everything she explained afterward hadn’t even entered the old lady’s ears.
“Our Boss Su, of course. Su Tao. She hasn’t returned yet—she’s handling some matters.” What a strange question.
“And Manager Ma?”
“He’s just like me—one of Boss Su’s direct subordinates. But he mainly manages Pánliu Mountain.”
“What place is Pánliu Mountain?”
“Taoyang opened a transit station there. We provide lodging, meals, fuel, charging, and other services. Manager Ma oversees that operation.”
Granny Yu was silent for a long, long time. She even staggered as she walked.
And just then, Xiao Yu—utterly clueless—ran back after playing with Qian Rongrong, holding two bottles of ice-cold soda, overflowing with joy as he shared:

Rongrong said sometimes chefs from Pánliu Mountain come and cook dishes for them! And they’re all made with fresh leafy vegetables! I’ve never even seen fresh vegetables before!”
Rongrong chimed in immediately:
“We have a plantation! Tomorrow, when Uncle Wu Zhen finishes resting, he can take us inside to play. We can pick lettuce and strawberries ourselves. The lettuce can be given to Master Qin to blanch, and the strawberries can be made into jam by Granny Cen. In the morning you can spread it on bread!”
Xiao Yu’s excitement was about to overflow. “Grandma, grandma, did you hear?!”
Granny Yu smacked him away with one slap. “Your ancestor here isn’t deaf.”
Xiao Yu never remembered anything for long. When Zhuang Wan finally brought them into a brand-new, beautifully decorated two-bedroom apartment, he tugged excitedly on Granny Yu’s hand:

After escaping the prison-like Chu household, they had been drifting from place to place. Forget a proper home—even having a tent was a luxury.
Later, once they settled a bit in Xindu, the place they lived in was still tiny. He usually slept on the couch in the living room.
Granny Yu tried to shake off her foolish grandson’s hand, but he held too tightly.
Xiao Yu was simply too happy.
When Zhuang Wan heard him call her “Sister,” her smile bloomed even more, and her tone became a few shades gentler:

Xiao Yu immediately turned to look at his grandmother.
Granny Yu didn’t look at him. She thanked Zhuang Wan instead:
“Thank you for thinking highly of him, Manager Zhuang. He’ll definitely work hard. But my boy is simple-minded and has never worked before—he might trouble you.”
Zhuang Wan didn’t mind at all. “I can teach him slowly. We all started somewhere.”
That finally snapped Xiao Yu out of his shock. He couldn’t believe so many good things could happen in one single day.
Not only did he now have his own bedroom—he also had a job of his own. He wouldn’t have to rely on his grandmother anymore!
He immediately declared, “Sister Zhuang, I’ll work hard and learn everything!”
Qian Rongrong was happy for him too; she clapped her little hands in congratulations.
Late at night, Granny Yu lay on the spacious, soft bed, wide awake.
She got up and sat at the edge of the bed, pulled out her communicator, and started browsing large amounts of information on Dongyang’s and Taoyang’s local networks—especially focusing on Taoyang’s official website.
Photos and videos flickered past her eyes, each one reinforcing what she saw earlier: everything during the day had been real.
Taoyang wasn’t just well-supplied—it was exceptionally secure.
The tall electrified walls outside had not only blocked Blood Scythe’s attacks before, but they were also effective against fire and intruders.
Later on, they had even installed a protective barrier… nothing above or below could break through it.
Granny Yu couldn’t help but look up at the sky through the window, then suddenly let out a self-mocking laugh.
She had previously thought Taoyang was some remote, impoverished little place, worrying the whole way.
Now that she had seen it—Taoyang taking her in meant she was getting the far better end of the deal.
