“Tong! Go find Pei Dong, quick! I have something urgent to tell her, hurry!”
Guan Zining’s face was filled with fear. As she spoke, she attempted to get out of bed, but before anyone could stop her, her body went limp, and she collapsed onto the floor.
Chenxi cried out, “Oh my god! I told you you’re not fully recovered yet! You had a huge hole in your stomach, your intestines were literally cleaned and put back inside! And now, just a day or two later, you want to get out of bed and walk? Are you a superhero?!”
Su Tao had never seen such an expression on Guan Zining before. Her heart sank as she suspected that before losing consciousness, Guan Zining must have seen or discovered something truly horrifying.
“I already called her—she’s on her way. Here, let me help you back into bed.”

The air was thick with the stench of blood and decay, and the eerie moonlight cast a sickly glow over the battlefield.
Like spectators, they watched as an overwhelming horde of zombies charged at the outer defenses of Dongyang Gate No. 2. The defensive line was completely overrun, soldiers being torn apart by the waves of undead.
The Blood Scythes smashed through the fortifications with their massive limbs. Like a breached dam, they surged forward, leaving a trail of corpses in their wake.
They continued their slaughter but were stopped by a newly constructed city wall.
On the watchtower, Pei Dong, dressed in bloodstained military uniform, wielded a crystal energy rifle that glowed faintly in the dark. One by one, she shot down the Blood Scythes—until she collapsed from exhaustion.
Just then, from the shadows, a pitch-black, four-legged creature emerged from underground. Nearly indistinguishable from the night, it crawled stealthily up the city wall like a gecko.
Guan Zining shouted a warning about movement on the wall and rushed forward, stabbing her blade into the creature’s tail, pinning it in place.
Before she could react, the creature severed its own tail and flipped over the wall in an instant.
Guan Zining’s heart pounded in terror. Moments later, she heard the agonized screams of her comrades from the other side of the wall.
More Blood Scythes followed, and one of their massive limbs pierced through Guan Zining’s abdomen, blood spraying into the night—
The immersive vision ended abruptly.
Everyone snapped back to reality, drenched in cold sweat.
A single thought echoed in their minds—
That newly emerged monster could climb walls.
And possibly burrow underground.
