Doomsday: Scavenging in a Survival Game – CH125

Dungeon Door Key

Chapter 125: Dungeon Door Key

After awakening her bloodline, Su Ning still felt a little dizzy.

When she turned around, she immediately noticed that Honghong and Jiangjiang had been petrified.

Su Ning: “?? How did they get petrified?”

She quickly released them from their petrified state.

Honghong: “Oh my god! Master, you’re terrifying! Just one energy shock and we were petrified!”

Jiangjiang: “So scary… Master’s even more powerful now!”

Su Ning ignored their inner little schemes.

Instead, she opened up her player data.

[Player: Su Ning]
Talents:
  Scavenger: Scavenger’s Backpack; Scavenger’s Eye; Scavenger’s Venom
Self-Healer: Possesses powerful regeneration abilities. Wounds and stamina recover quickly. (Enhanced through bloodline awakening)
Bloodline: Petrifying Medusa: Possesses powerful petrification abilities.

Skills:
Perfect Aim, Mind Control, Beast Taming, Spirit Fox Dance, Stealth, Disguise

In her player data, the awakening of the Bloodline Pearl had granted her the Petrifying Medusa bloodline. Moreover, the previous Medusa skill she had acquired was now gone from the skills section.

“Looks like awakening the bloodline merged the skill directly into the bloodline.”

Su Ning noticed that even without transforming into Medusa form, she could now use petrification powers.

Now, like Fayvely in the Cosmic Mine dungeon, she could petrify targets with just a gaze.

Additionally, she could channel pale pink energy into her fingers, aim at a target she wanted to petrify, and launch the energy—upon hitting, the target would turn to stone.

Of course, Su Ning could still transform into full Medusa form for battle.

But she preferred to fight in her current human form.

“Not only did I gain the Medusa bloodline, my petrification ability was enhanced, and even my Self-Healing talent seems to have improved.”

This delighted Su Ning. There was nothing more exciting than getting stronger. Especially now that she was living on her own, strength was the only foundation for survival in the face of ongoing natural disasters.

“The space is still upgrading… What should I do next?”

Su Ning glanced at the system chat channel, where she discovered the wanted notice from the Xi and Fu families.

She scoffed at it.

“Like mother, like daughter. With daughters like those, no wonder their parents are like this. If I ever meet the Xi or Fu families again, it’s clear there’s no room for a peaceful conversation.”

Outside, the blizzard raged on.

Su Ning pulled a pot out of her scavenger’s backpack and started preparing a meal.

This time, she was cooking herself—without needing to worry about jealousy or sabotage from others, she could freely use the supplies in her backpack.

Since Units 1 through 5 had performed well in the Fog City dungeon, and Honghong had helped too, Su Ning wanted to reward them.

So she rolled up her sleeves.

“I’ll cook you all a feast!”

Smiling, she took out some stored supplies from the scavenger’s backpack.

Even though her planting space was still upgrading, Su Ning knew the importance of not keeping all your eggs in one basket.

She had always kept useful items in her scavenger backpack too.

“For Unit 1 and the other zombies, I’ll make some ‘Zombie Fruit’ Salad. For Honghong, I’ll prepare a Flower Banquet. As for Jiangjiang… I’ll just throw something together.”

Jiangjiang: “Just something random for me, huh?”

Since Jiangjiang was controlling the Rat King’s body, he could use the King’s natural talent to devour anything. So Jiangjiang had no complaints at all.

As the blizzard howled outside and night fell, Su Ning lit a candle and started cooking.

Others might have felt lonely—but Su Ning was used to it. In fact, she found it relaxing.

Soon, the meal was ready.

Su Ning made sauerkraut stewed ribs for herself and cooked a pot of rice.

The smell was so good it made her dizzy.

“I used too much sauerkraut this time… I need to make my own soon. Glad the cabbages I planted in the space finally came in handy.”

Previously, Su Ning had collected many cookbooks from the library, and now she finally had the time to read them.

Once dinner was ready:

“Huahua is still inside the space and can’t come out. I’ll make it up to her later.”

She looked around at her gathered companions.

“This is my way of thanking you for your help. Whether we’re in the survival game or the real world, let’s keep working hard together!”

Honghong (buzzing loudly): “Boss doesn’t need our help at all—she goes berserk and just wipes out all enemies!”

But Su Ning was focused on her food and didn’t hear what she said.

Meanwhile, fellow insect Jiangjiang gasped in horror:

“Are you crazy?! You can’t say that about Boss! She’s beautiful and powerful—not a brute!”

Honghong: “…”

Unit 1 through 5 zombies were confused as they ate their fruit salad made from Zombie Fruit.

Unit 1: “We zombies… just get this?”

Biochemical bot Ganggang was not present—it was off duty.

Su Ning was happy—but elsewhere, others were not.

Second Shelter.

Fu Qingge woke up and learned that her sister had not survived Su Ning’s deadly poison.

She felt frustrated and furious, with nowhere to release it.

She also found out that both the Xi and Fu families had jointly issued a wanted notice for Su Ning—and that Su Ning had also been expelled from the Sixth Shelter.

But Fu Qingge knew that with Su Ning’s strength, she would survive just fine outside the shelter.

She looked down at her own amputated right arm, feeling conflicted.

Fu Qingge understood deep down that she couldn’t really blame Su Ning—but everything that happened to her and her sister had stemmed from Su Ning’s existence.

And what infuriated her most was:

“I lost in combat to a woman!”

That humiliation was what truly ate away at Fu Qingge.

“Su Ning! The next time we meet—we’ll be enemies!”

Suddenly, Su Ning sneezed.

She looked around her old apartment. It had only been lightly renovated, as she had no plans to live there permanently—just a short stopover.

She knew well: disasters wouldn’t stop, and worse ones might be on the way. Who knew how long this building could even last?

Then she remembered:

“Ah, the Dungeon Door Key!”

That item allowed her to freely enter and exit a chosen dungeon.

[Ding! Please select a dungeon to link to the key!]

  • Virus Town

  • Breeding Farm

  • Hell of the Dead

  • Cosmic Mine

  • Fog City

Five dungeons appeared for Su Ning to choose from.

She didn’t hesitate and picked the one she had already decided on: Hell of the Dead.

The key-shaped item in her hand instantly transformed into a stream of light and entered her right hand.

A system message followed:

[Ding! To enter the “Hell of the Dead” dungeon, simply open any door using your right hand.
Note: Dungeons cannot stack. Players must not be inside another survival dungeon when entering “Hell of the Dead.”]

Su Ning immediately understood what the system meant.

“So much for trying to exploit a bug.”

She had hoped she could enter Hell of the Dead whenever she wanted—essentially treating it like a personal dimension.

She had thought she could enter other survival dungeons, and then jump into Hell of the Dead at will.

But the system clearly did not allow such loopholes.
