Chapter 117: Lightning Storm, Massive Explosion!
Without any warning, a sudden ambush erupted, catching Su Ning completely off guard!
“Fu Qingyao, what are you doing?!”
Fu Qingge stared in disbelief, utterly shocked that his own younger sister would do such a thing. At that moment, Fu Qingyao bit her lip tightly, not daring to meet her brother’s eyes—like a child who had made a mistake, full of guilt and fear.
But beside her, Xi Chunyan was wearing an unmistakably smug expression.
Xi Chunyan’s scheme had succeeded. First, she could get rid of Su Ning once and for all. Second, she could use the opportunity to teach the naive and innocent Fu Qingyao a harsh lesson.
At this point, it was clearly too late for Su Ning to dash into the teleportation array, but she didn’t overlook Xi Chunyan’s smug, villainous face.
“She can control plants… it must be Fu Qingyao’s innate ability. And there’s no doubt that the one who manipulated her into using it is Xi Chunyan.”
Since they were clearly trying to kill her, Su Ning didn’t hesitate to fight back.
“This is already the second time—do they think I’m easy prey?”
In a flash, Su Ning made a decisive move, struggling fiercely against the entangling vines.
Fu Qingge tried to help her, but both Xi Chunyan and Fu Qingyao stepped in to block him.
Xi Chunyan had planned to watch Su Ning’s miserable defeat with a condescending smile, but when she looked directly into Su Ning’s eyes, she suddenly froze.
Su Ning’s appearance had changed—her hair now writhed like a mass of live snakes, horrifying to look at. But even more terrifying were her eyes, which glowed with a strange yellow light, like those of a vengeful demon from the depths of hell.
Xi Chunyan instinctively wanted to scream, but in the next instant, she felt her body locked in place—as if an invisible force had paralyzed her. She couldn’t move at all.
And then—The teleportation spell activated.
A flash of light burst from the array, and in the blink of an eye, all three of them vanished without a trace!
Meanwhile, Su Ning was left alone and trapped in the middle of a crisis.
Fu Qingge and the others had already been transported out, while she was forced to face the Lords of the Mist head-on.
Su Ning: I really want to swear right now—what the hell do I do?
She racked her brain, trying to figure out how to escape the pursuit and blockade of the three Mist Lords.
A green fog began to fill the area—this wasn’t normal fog, but rather a deadly skill shared by all Mist-type monsters: Corrosive Mist.
As the fog thickened, a massive Mist Giant appeared in front of Su Ning. Towering like a mountain, it roared thunderously toward her.
In this hopeless situation, there was nowhere to run. Su Ning couldn’t find a single place to hide.
“Maybe my space ability is the only way out,” she thought.
“But if I just hide in there forever… how long can I last?”
Gritting her teeth, Su Ning raised her hand—and summoned Zombies No. 1 through 5.
Red and Jiang Jiang also appeared.
She remembered the Lightning Storm skill book she had drawn from a treasure chest. Since she didn’t have a lightning affinity, its power would be weak if she used it herself.
So, she handed it off to Red.
With a wave of Su Ning’s hand, ripples spread through her planted-space dimension. Then, countless Electric Bees surged out like a tide.
These bees had all been produced by Red. Their bodies shimmered with dazzling electrical energy, like flying gemstones in the air.
With a single command from Red, the swarm launched a devastating attack.
Combining their innate electrical talents and the powerful Lightning Storm skill, they gathered into a dense star cluster, hovering ominously in the sky like a thundercloud ready to burst.
In an instant, gales began to howl and dark clouds rolled in—a breathtaking lightning storm had begun!
Bolts of lightning, thick as silver dragons, came crashing down into the fog below.
CRACK! BOOM!
The sky exploded with thunder. The blinding flashes and roaring crashes were deafening.
The monsters hidden in the mist were instantly devastated by the lightning.
They weren’t afraid of normal physical attacks—but in the face of such raw electrical energy, they were helpless.
Even the Mist Giant hesitated, terrified by the storm’s terrifying might.
Su Ning knew she had gained the upper hand for the moment, but she wasn’t naive—these were three Lords of the Mist. If they launched a full-force assault, she’d still be doomed.
Without delay, she started pulling bombs out of her scavenger backpack and hurled them toward the monsters.
At the same time, she activated her “Perfect Aim” skill, making every throw deadly accurate.
In this moment, she was like a highly efficient Peashooter, flinging one explosive after another at the enemy.
Meanwhile, Zombie No. 1 gripped the Annihilation Gun, unleashing devastating energy shots.
Its glowing muzzle, combined with Su Ning’s bombs, painted a vibrant yet destructive picture across the battlefield.
After the storm and bombing run, every Mist creature was wiped out—except for the three Mist Lords.
The fight wasn’t over.
The Mist Tree Lord retaliated by launching a wave of Corrosive Mist straight at Su Ning.
She couldn’t dodge in time.
The green fog grazed her, and where it touched her skin, there was a loud sizzle.
Su Ning grunted in pain.
“I can’t die here… I still have unfinished business with Xi Chunyan and Fu Qingyao!”
Her eyes turned bloodshot.
Her snake-hair began releasing poisonous gas to fight back against the corrosive mist.
At this point, Su Ning revealed every trump card she had. This was by far the most dangerous survival instance she’d ever entered.
Meanwhile, while everyone else fought, Zombie No. 2 began digging an escape tunnel.
Su Ning’s head throbbed painfully. Originally, she had wanted to petrify the Mist Giant using her Medusa ability. But because the target was so enormous, the power backfired, and the skill rebounded on her instead—nearly knocking her unconscious.
Just before passing out, No. 2 finally completed the escape route.
Su Ning gave the order—retreat!
But the Mist Giant wasn’t going to let her get away that easily.
It lunged to chase after her.
Su Ning’s lips curled into a sinister smile.
She threw out dozens of cargo containers from her scavenger backpack—all of them packed with bombs she had collected in the Dead Corpse Hell instance.
As they exploded behind her—Zombie No. 2 dragged her into the escape tunnel.
They made a narrow, desperate escape!
Immediately afterward, she brought all her companions into her planted-space dimension for safety.
But just then—
BOOOOOOM!!!
A deafening, earth-shattering explosion roared across the City of Mist instance!
The sound was thunderous, like the heavens themselves were splitting apart. A terrifying shockwave swept across the area like a tidal wave, completely blowing away the thick fog that shrouded the city.
The buildings hidden within the mist were suddenly laid bare for all to see.
At that very moment, players in other parts of the instance—those still struggling to survive—froze in place, instinctively turning toward the blast.
What they saw made their blood run cold.
The thick fog had been torn apart—and in its place, a massive, ominous mushroom cloud rose into the sky.
“Oh my god… Who caused that explosion?!” one player muttered in disbelief, his eyes wide with shock.
He couldn’t comprehend how, in a place already so dangerous, someone could unleash such devastating destruction.
“This instance is insane…” another player whispered in despair, his voice trembling. That final sliver of hope he’d been clinging to now seemed like it might vanish completely.
Meanwhile, Fu Qingge had just arrived at a safe zone via teleportation. He barely had time to steady his footing when he heard a scream:
“Ah! Sister Xi! What’s wrong?!”
Fu Qingge’s heart sank. He quickly turned toward the voice—What he saw froze him in place.
Xi Chunyan had turned into a lifeless stone statue.
