Chapter 107: Fu Qingyao, Xi Chunyan, Tang Fanghua
Fu Qingge was a bit surprised. He hadn’t expected to run into Su Ning again inside the [City of Fog] instance!
“Didn’t expect to see you again in this instance,” Fu Qingge said, trying to mask his surprise.
Su Ning remained expressionless. After a brief greeting, she turned her gaze to the people beside Fu Qingge.

The name Fu Qingyao immediately caught Su Ning’s attention.
From the information provided, it appeared this woman was Fu Qingge’s younger sister.
Moreover, she possessed something called a Planting Space. Su Ning didn’t believe she could have acquired it herself — it must have been given to her by Fu Qingge.
While Su Ning and Fu Qingge were speaking, Xi Chunyan took notice.
She quickly picked up on the familiarity between the two — and it made her extremely uncomfortable.
As Fu Qingge’s childhood friend, Xi Chunyan had always considered him hers. So the sudden appearance of a young, beautiful, unknown woman triggered her instinctive dislike.
Now that she realized the two knew each other, even Tang Fanghua, who had been on alert, relaxed and asked:
“You two know each other?”
Fu Qingge explained:
“Sister Tang, this is Su Ning from Shelter No. 6 — the one who saved Tang Yuanbin’s life.”
Tang Fanghua’s eyes lit up upon hearing that. She stepped forward and warmly thanked Su Ning:
“So you’re Su Ning! I really appreciate what you did last time. If it weren’t for you, I don’t know what would’ve happened to that reckless brother of mine.”
Then she introduced herself:
“I’m Tang Yuanbin’s sister — Tang Fanghua. But feel free to call me Sister Tang.”
Su Ning replied, “Nice to meet you, Sister Tang.”
Perhaps because of the life-saving connection with Tang Yuanbin, the distance between Su Ning and Tang Fanghua quickly disappeared.
Su Ning hadn’t expected this woman to be Yuanbin’s sister.
She couldn’t help but think to herself, “Not only is Tang Yuanbin incredibly gifted, but it turns out his sister is just as powerful.”
Her telekinesis talent was especially rare.
Meanwhile, Fu Qingyao, who had remained silent, suddenly interrupted:
“Brother, let’s leave this place now! Sister Xi and I really don’t want to stay here any longer.”
Xi Chunyan quickly agreed:
“Yes, Qingge. This hallway is so cramped — if we run into another monster, and now with an outsider here too, it’ll be hard to fight. I think it’s best if we move on.”
Su Ning raised an eyebrow.
“Outsider?”
Technically, there was nothing wrong with the wording — but it still felt like a deliberate jab.
Fu Qingge, hearing Xi Chunyan’s argument, also recognized the hallway’s cramped space might cause problems if monsters showed up.
But because he was so familiar with Xi Chunyan, he didn’t read too much into her use of the word “outsider.”
So he made a quick decision:
“Alright, let’s get moving.”
Xi Chunyan was visibly pleased that Fu Qingge took her suggestion.
Meanwhile, Fu Qingyao activated her unique talent — Telepathy — to start a private mental conversation with Xi Chunyan.
Only the two of them could hear it.
“Sister Xi, you don’t need to be so worried! I know my brother so well — you two are childhood sweethearts. No other woman could ever catch his eye. You’re the only one I recognize as my future sister-in-law.”
Xi Chunyan’s face flushed with embarrassment. She playfully poked Fu Qingyao’s forehead with her finger and said:
“Ugh, what nonsense are you spouting?”
But despite her flustered reaction, she remained highly alert toward any woman near Fu Qingge.
She had a strong possessive streak — and wouldn’t let anyone get close to him, not even Tang Fanghua, despite her being married.
As the group slowly made their way downstairs, Xi Chunyan couldn’t help but probe further:
“Qingge, how exactly did you and Miss Su Ning meet?”
Walking at the front while staying alert, Fu Qingge calmly answered:
“We once entered the same instance and worked together inside.”
Hearing that, Xi Chunyan instantly felt sour — her thoughts racing with jealousy.
She had struggled hard to secure a spot in this instance alongside Fu Qingge. And yet, Su Ning had somehow managed to cross paths with him again in another instance.
Xi Chunyan was bitter:
“I wonder how much help she got from Qingge. Hmph. Lucky girl.”
Su Ning, of course, picked up on the subtle hostility coming from Xi Chunyan.
Su Ning: “???”
Tang Fanghua, having seen enough of the world, easily noticed Xi Chunyan’s jealous glances and silently shook her head.
Although she wasn’t familiar with Fu Qingge personally, she knew he was a member of the Fu family from Shelter No. 2. And the person in charge of Shelter No. 2… happened to have the surname Xi.
Still, she couldn’t understand how someone like Fu Qingge, who seemed so reliable in everything else, could be such a complete novice when it came to relationships.
Once they exited the residential building, the group found themselves surrounded by dense fog.
In the far distance — where the fog was even thicker — strange sounds echoed intermittently.
Not wanting to risk encountering monsters hiding in the mist, they immediately moved away from that direction.
“Our mission is to survive for seven days and collect 100 Hearts of Fog. But what even is a Heart of Fog?” someone asked.
Before leaving, Fu Qingge had shattered the monster he previously froze. But no Heart of Fog had been found on it.
Su Ning guessed:
“Maybe the monster was too weak — that’s why it didn’t drop one.”
Tang Fanghua, her expression serious, suggested:
“We should focus on finding a safe place to settle first. This thick fog makes it feel like we’re being watched by something.”
Su Ning nodded in agreement — she’d also felt that unnerving gaze lurking in the mist.
Fu Qingge naturally agreed. His plan had always been to first locate a safe zone where they could rest and plan their next steps.
But the fog was like a heavy curtain, concealing everything around them and completely messing with their sense of direction.
Just as the group fell into uncertainty, Fu Qingyao suddenly pointed in a direction.
“Brother, I think we should head this way.”
Fu Qingge smiled indulgently.
“Alright, we’ll go your way!”
Su Ning was dumbfounded by how easily he agreed.
“Huh?? Just like that? You’re not even going to consider it more carefully?”
At this moment, Fu Qingge looked almost enchanted — it reminded Su Ning of herself when using the “White Lotus” title.
She had forgotten: there’s a certain breed of person in the world known as a sis-con — someone who will spoil their younger sister with no limits.
