Chapter 107: Celebration
When Gu Qinghuan and the others arrived back in the classroom, they were greeted with enthusiastic applause from the entire class.
“Shh! Shh! Quiet!” Gu Qinghuan quickly called out. “What if someone hears the noise?”
As soon as the class president spoke, the students immediately stopped clapping to show respect.
The doors and windows were already tightly closed, doing their best to block the sound.
Gu Qinghuan stood on the podium, cleared her throat twice, and raised an imaginary microphone: “Everyone has already heard what happened in the office. In short—regarding the inappropriate guidance behavior of the homeroom teacher of Class 12, we have successfully carried out our counterattack!”
Although, as things currently stood, Shen Mingzhe had only received criticism from the teachers, and Yang Xiao and the others had not been punished directly.
In reality, their actions had not caused any severe, tangible harm, so it was hard for the school to implement a punishment that would satisfy Class 3.
This outcome, however, was even more gratifying for Class 3.
Shen Mingzhe’s jealousy of Chen Zelin and his attempts to guide his students to attack Class 3 had been exposed.
This would significantly affect his interpersonal relationships, his reputation, and inevitably his career.
As for Yang Xiao and the others, outwardly it appeared that their confession of Shen Mingzhe’s behavior was “acknowledging their mistake and correcting it,” but ultimately, they were still students of Class 12 and would have to maintain a teacher-student relationship with Shen Mingzhe in the future.
It was certain that Shen Mingzhe, having been betrayed by them, would no longer protect their interests, and might even become harsher toward them.
On the other hand, Yang Xiao and the others were very likely to be seen as “traitors” by the other students of Class 12. Even though they were followers of Yan Zhengqing, the other students’ attitudes toward them would shift.
For Class 3, it was enough that their students could fully realize the consequences of their actions and feel regret and suffering.
After finishing the “declaration,” before the students could cheer again, the class villain—no, the Discipline Committee—Jiang Chuchu took the nonexistent microphone.
“This plan can be considered perfectly executed,” Jiang Chuchu said, still full of authority. “Everyone successfully completed their tasks.”
“Thanks to the Discipline Committee’s plan!” someone interjected. “Big credit to the Discipline Committee!”
“Yes, big credit!” the group chimed in.
Jiang Chuchu scanned the room, and the noisy students immediately quieted down.
“You’ve all worked hard these past few days, so I’ve decided to treat everyone to Yun Jin Lou tonight,” Jiang Chuchu announced.
“The Discipline Committee is so generous!” “Yay!” “I’ll tell my family!”
Everyone started chattering about what they might eat tonight. Gu Qinghuan nudged Qin Yue’s arm: “Where’s Yun Jin Lou?”
“Oh, you probably haven’t been there. It’s normal not to know,” Qin Yue said.
Before he could finish, Jiang Chuchu, stepping down from the podium, elbowed him: “How dare you talk like that?!”
Qin Yue rubbed his sore side and obediently explained: “Yun Jin Lou is a private club in the city, membership-only. Even if you’re worth millions, you might not get in—it’s part of the Jiang family’s business.”
That last part was the key! Gu Qinghuan reflected for a few seconds, then excitedly turned to Jiang Chuchu: “Is there food to eat?”
Jiang Chuchu could only respond speechlessly: “All you think about is food.”
Still, a smile appeared on her face: “I’ll get a list of today’s ingredients later. You can tell me what you want, and the kitchen will make it for you.”
So, an ingredient list, not a menu… That meant she could choose anything she wanted, and the kitchen would make it according to her taste? Incredible!
Gu Qinghuan perked up: “Great! If it’s something I haven’t eaten before, you have to tell me if it’s tasty or not!”
Jiang Chuchu nodded readily: “Alright.”
She noticed Yu Xin staring at her phone, looking absent-minded: “Xin Bao, what’s wrong?”
Yu Xin came back to reality: “Nothing, just a little regret. After all, Yu Yuan also provided help…”
Of course, Yu Yuan couldn’t be invited to Class 3’s “celebration banquet.” Especially with the current situation in Class 12—it would be a disaster.
If anyone saw Yu Yuan hanging out with Class 3 students, it wouldn’t end well for her.
Jiang Chuchu hesitated a bit. Yu Yuan’s “tip-off” had contributed to the plan’s success, so logically she should be thanked.
Gu Qinghuan poked her head out: “Simple! Bring her a portion! Ask what she likes—desserts or snacks, anything portable!”
Yu Xin and Jiang Chuchu exchanged glances. Jiang Chuchu spoke first: “Your mind… when it comes to food, it just moves so fast!”
Gu Qinghuan rubbed the back of her head, confident: “What’s wrong with that?”
“Nothing, it’s great,” Jiang Chuchu waved her hand. “Xin Bao, you ask her.”
Yu Yuan responded quickly, not with what she wanted to eat, but asking: [I saw Yang Xiao and the others came, looking really bad. So… did Teacher Shen get punished?]
Yu Xin thought for a moment: [Hard to explain now. I’ll tell you later tonight.]
After a while, Yu Yuan replied: [Okay. For desserts, you decide. As long as it’s not too sweet, I’ll be fine.]
Yu Xin put her phone away and sighed. Yu Yuan clearly wasn’t in a good mood—hopefully after tonight’s conversation, her mood would improve.
Jiang Chuchu also informed Jiang Youwei about the plan’s success and the dinner.
Jiang Youwei had been buried in departmental monthly reports, feeling stressed, but after receiving Jiang Chuchu’s message, he instantly felt refreshed.
His teaching of his daughter had paid off! Look at this plan—so quickly executed! Success came easily!
As for treating the entire class to Yun Jin Lou, Jiang Youwei didn’t care at all.
When Jiang Chuchu was in kindergarten and elementary school, she often invited classmates to visit some of their family businesses.
But later, after witnessing some parents and children’s snobbery and selfishness, she stopped.
Now, her desire to invite the whole class again showed that these classmates were different—trustworthy and friendly.
Jiang Youwei felt a mix of emotion and reluctance, admitting that Gu Qinghuan was indeed a good class president, capable of leading her classmates to improve.
Still sitting in class, Gu Qinghuan sneezed, startling Qin Yue in front of her: “You caught a cold?”
“No,” she mumbled, pulling out a napkin to wipe her nose. “Maybe someone is mumbling about me behind my back.”
“Someone from Class 12, right?” Qin Yue guessed, which made sense.
Gu Qinghuan also thought this was a reasonable guess, but she didn’t have time to care now.
Jiang Chuchu had already sent her the ingredient list. Just reading it, Gu Qinghuan’s mind began spinning with recipes.
Steamed! Stir-fried! Sashimi!
Braised! Deep-fried! Stewed!
Tonight, she was going to eat to her heart’s content!
