Chapter 210: Global Hide and Seek 20
“Well done!”
“Fei Hu Ge and CW are awesome!”
“Damn it, this round of the game truly reflects the real skill of us players.”
Twenty minutes into the game, three or four prey had been killed, while over twenty hunters had been eliminated. Seeing that Chu Yian’s plan was effective and the hunters were helpless against them, the players were currently celebrating.
However, they didn’t know that it was because the strong individuals among the hunters had not yet unleashed their full power.
Lu Qingyuan hadn’t unleashed his power, but their team didn’t only have Lu Qingyuan as a strong individual.
Minaduo picked up her weapon and flipped towards the location of the weapon crate in her memory, finding a good position before raising her hunting rifle. Although her vision was temporarily blinded, she could deduce the players’ positions through gunshots and bullet trajectories.
She fired.
Without the treasure box obstructing, several players were instantly swept down.
Three were hit once, and two other players were directly eliminated.
This was the true strength of a hunter.
The strength Minaduo displayed astonished the players, and the hunters’ morale was greatly boosted. Chu Yian, seeing that things were not going well, immediately used the treasure box to seal the entrance to the corridor.
“Huang Fei Hu: The hunters on the other side are a bit powerful, plan changed.”
“Huang Fei Hu: Don’t clash with them head-on, focus on attrition.”
The bullets in the hunters’ hands were, after all, limited.
They had already expended a wave of bullets, and continuing to deplete their ammunition would turn them into sick tigers; even if they weren’t killed, they would eventually have to go offline.
The players looked at the message and began to retreat to the next armory, using the treasure box.
Occasionally, they would fire a few shots through the gaps in the treasure box, ambushing and harassing the pursuing hunters. As soon as the hunters were provoked, they would shoot at them, falling into Chu Yian’s trap.
Throughout the entire process, the hunters were very passive.
“Grandpa Lu, don’t you have any thoughts?”
Minaduo looked at Lu Qingyuan beside her. She noticed that this hunter, who had been first in previous rounds, had barely made a move in this game.
If he didn’t make a move, then she would.
But what about the kills then… Lu Qingyuan glanced at her upon hearing her words, knowing what she intended to do. “Do as you please.”
“Thank you.”
Minaduo felt like she had found a bargain and smiled charmingly at Lu Qingyuan. Then, the expression on her face turned cold again, and she flicked a black card between her two fingers into the air.
At the same time, time paused.
A holographic projection of the game appeared before all hunters and prey.
“Hunter Minaduo used an item card in game arena 042. This round of Hide and Seek will open free communication for prey, and the game time will be shortened to 30 minutes. Hunter shooting permission is open, and hunting rifles have unlimited ammunition.”
“Current prey count: 993”
“Current hunter count: 71”
This message, at first glance, seemed to shorten the game time and allow players to communicate freely.
But upon closer inspection, this was clearly the hunters preparing to unleash a barrage of firepower on them.
As soon as the introduction time ended, gunshots echoed from beyond the treasure box. Amidst the dense hail of bullets, players dared not show their heads, while the hunters drew closer and closer.
The moment they crossed the treasure box, Chu Yian’s defense line, primarily composed of treasure boxes, was completely shattered.
But the players were not fish to be slaughtered at will.
As the hunters entered the second armory, the instant-detonation bombs placed around were triggered. Under the blinding light, the players gained a small amount of time. The players who had originally gathered in the corridor began to scatter and flee.
“It’s over, it’s over. I didn’t expect these hunters to have a backup plan.”
“Why can the hunter side change the game rules? This damn game is completely unfair.”
“The Hide and Seek game was originally designed for hunters; we are the prey, so of course we don’t get these benefits. Qu Shanmian told you before not to provoke those hunters. Now look what happened.”
“It’s over, I’m so scared. Hunters have unlimited bullets, so won’t they just sweep everything in sight?”
…A moment ago it was a celebration of victory; now it was resentment towards the organizers.
The rabble who dared not stand out were quicker than anyone to complain and vent their anger. Meanwhile, the players truly at the forefront didn’t even have time to communicate.
Everyone was busy escaping.
With the tables turned, the hunters began their frantic pursuit.
Chu Yian and Zhang Yunwu got separated. She and Zhu Shen found a box to hide in.
However, they both knew that hiding was not a long-term solution. In this last half hour, the hunters would eventually come knocking.
What else could they do now?
Chu Yian suddenly remembered that she still had an unopened blind box.
She took out her treasure box, hoping that Grandpa Treasure Box would open something useful for her this time. Just as she opened the box, preparing to fish for something in her bulletproof vest form, her gaze fell upon Zhu Shen, who was in grenade form, beside her.
“Zhu Shen, has your luck always been this good?”
Zhu Shen hadn’t realized what was happening when Chu Yian, in her bulletproof vest form, rubbed him back and forth. “Lending you a bit of luck.”
“Wait, Fei Hu Ge, that’s not how you borrow luck.”
After Zhu Shen understood her intention, he suddenly trembled all over, and his body emitted a golden glow. Immediately after, that light transferred to Chu Yian through the point of their contact.
What is this?
Chu Yian suddenly discovered that Zhu Shen actually had another trick up his sleeve.
“Although I don’t know what Fei Hu Ge is going to do, Fei Hu Ge gives me a very reliable feeling. Go for it, I’m lending you my good luck.”
Zhu Shen’s words echoed in her ears. In an instant, Chu Yian felt as if the chubby grenade in front of her had grown wings, radiating a sacred light.
Chu Yian, carrying Zhu Shen’s good luck, used the skill of creating something from nothing.
“Hide and Seek Item Card: Form Transformation”
“Note: Will be retracted after this round of the game ends.”
“Good Item’s Inner Voice: I don’t know why, but today, Grandpa, I find Little Chu particularly pleasing to the eye. Using the item card, the player can freely choose any existing and reasonable form in the current Hide and Seek game. Go for it this round, Grandpa Treasure Box is rooting for you, Ganbatte!”
Zhu Shen’s good luck was comparable to a charm.
How much charm must have been poured into the treasure box for it to say such disgusting words.
Chu Yian looked excitedly at Flying Zhu Shen. Although he had no eyes, Zhu Shen felt that fervent gaze, as if it would scorch his pig skin.
“That, Fei Hu Ge, I can only bestow blessings once per round, and it only lasts for ten minutes.”
He weakly reminded his big brother, hoping his big brother wouldn’t turn him into a roasted suckling pig.
Chu Yian didn’t speak. The seemingly calm big brother’s inner thoughts at this moment were—this good luck state can actually last for ten minutes! Zhu Shen truly lives up to his name!
She looked at the Hide and Seek item card, and in just half a minute, she had already decided what to transform into.
